Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Caprice was on the fast track to becoming a young CEO. Raised by her former supermodel mother, Caprice was supposed to follow the path that her mother’s stilettos left. Until a letter from her father, mafia don; Domani Bonatelli, changed the course of her life. Four years later, living in New York City, Caprice abandoned the life she had once cherished and focused solely on obtaining what her father has... power. At 22 and fully engrossed in a life of crime, Caprice has a job to do.
Protect the Bonatelli name and family business at all costs...but what exactly will it cost her?

It's not my quote but I live by it. *rebel*. Music and writing are my everything. Music influences everything that I do and write about. Without books and music, I could not breathe.
I was very pleased with this book. It pulled me right in from the very beginning. I could not put it down. You fall in love with the characters and I'm eager to find out what happens next.
If you are looking for a plot twist than this is a novella you would want to read. First time reading anything by this author but I am looking forward to pet two of Love and War!
"Love and War" by Jackie Chanel was a great read from beginning to end! Meet Caprice, a spoiled rotten young girl who gets the shock of her life when the father she's never known comes back into her life. Things quickly change for Caprice when she finds that her father is none other than Domani Bonatelli, head of the Italian Mafia. Deciding to step up to the plate on a dangerous mission, Caprice is dead set on proving that she is a valuable player in the family business. However, she will soon learn a valuable lesson that all is fair in love and war.
Jackie Chanel has done it again! "Love and War" was fast paced and easy to follow. The characters were developed. There was action, romance, and plenty of surprises along the way. I hated to see this book end. I hope Author Jackie doesn't keep us waiting too long on the sequel. 5 stars!
Crazy to say the least, I'm surprised Caprice never knew her father's side of the family. The Way she welcomed them with out in difficulties besides that one time were shocking. Then her wanting to be apart of the family business. Caprice had a good head on shoulders before her father summoned for her. Even though they felt they life style wasn't meant for her, she chose differently. She's going to find out in the end everyone isn't loyal. The people you feel you love those most be the ones plotting on your downfall. This a good read, I recommend to everyone.
Love & War was so good!! This is a first read for me by Jackie Chanel. You have a fan, your writing skills shows. You brought your characters to life. I Love Caprice she maybe new to the game but she was born for it. The relationship she has with her brother is priceless I can feel the love from the page's nothing like having a close brother. Now I had a feeling that funny name man was up to know good. Looking forward to she the out come. Big UP's to you.
I gave this book 4.5 stars. A few grammatical errors but very intriguing. Any work by Jackie Chanel I would definitely recommend. Love and War was a very good read. The twist at the end was very unexpected but I felt some kind of way about a few characters. Overall a very good read I definitely recommend this book. If you haven't read a Jackie Chanel book your missing out.
This book was good...it kept my attention and now I'm ready to see what is going to happen next. I'm shocked at how Caprice has just met her daddy and brother...(basically just coming into the family) but feeling like she knows the game as well as they do. a surprise ENDING to this first book....
This is my first time reading this author's work and I don't know what to make of it. I have never read a female mafia character but somehow this didn't sell me on this theory.
The hookups didn't seem genuine and I just didn't get it. It was very disjointed but interesting enough for me to read the second book to see if it makes more sense.
Ok read. Caprice jumped into the family and family business just a little too quick considering she never had a clue they even existed. She and Nico developed an unbreakable bond.
So much of the Mafioso story has been told before. This tale get reminding me of "Lady Boss" & "Lucky Santangelo" character. References to "The Sopranos" kind of detracted from the "authenticity" of this story.
First time reading this author and this book was hella good. The characters and the drama came off the pages.I can't believe the stuff that happen to that girl. The ending was a shocker to me but I can't wait to read the second one
I literally could not put this book down once I started reading, I read it in a couple of hours. it was good from beginning to end and I was one clicking part 2 immediately after I finished reading. ..
I loved this story, it was good from beginning to end. Instantly caricaturing.I liked all of the characters. Caprice in one bad chick, with nerves of steel. It is a must read. You will not be disappointed, and I can't wait to start book 2.
Caprice is the truth. I am really happy with how the storyline flows. I am pleased with how Nico took in his sister. It's interesting to know some insight on how the culture feels about mix breed children. I look forward to seeing what's next in part 2.
This was an ok read. I found it very difficult to connect with the characters and by the time I did the story was over. Maybe if the book was a little more fast pace it would have been better.
I think this book is wonderful. It keeps you hooked from page one to the end. Please read this book and the other that follows it. I really did enjoy r this book.
