Oh I love Mabel! It's not so much that she is the worst bounty hunter in the world it is more that her heart isn't it in it. She at least has the ability to see that the targets she's been sent to bring in are nothing like what she has been told. In this her heart is very MUCH in it. The curse hangs over her and it is not about to go away. This time her focus is Zeklan, a Kraken hybrid but will he alter the status quo with Brugo?
This is a fun book and really enjoyable. It's not going to be an easy ride for the characters but it somehow makes you root for them all the more. The world building, the action, relationships, accidents and the overarching plot pull you in. Whatever will happen next?

Once again, Mabel is struck with the compulsion to return to the evil King Gilbred but she tries to fight it with the help of her orc mate, Brugo. She thinks to hunt a new monster to help fund their escape....only to find that the Kraken is actually a hybrid, very hot and another mate ;P Of course, sparks fly and the steam is incredible with the addition of Zeklan's tentacles. This was an entertaining and intriguing read and I'm definitely on the hook for the next book after that epilogue ;D Safe to say that Mabel really is the worst monster hunter and I'm so glad about that fact :D
