I think i wanted to test me with this one. Reading slump made me do it because i am desperate to get rid of it but listen I didn’t hate it but it was 300 pages too short i needed more i always wanted a Tarzan retelling but it was lacking emotions and smut. And it was cringy funny. Felt like i was hallucinating!
I’m a sucker for anything Tarzan, ape-man, dubcon, noncon, etc. I’ve been on the hunt since Transcendence by Shay Savage and Rowe by Dylan Page. This one is short and sweet and the guy speaks English and they don’t stay in the wild. BUT, at least you get that initial crack hit of monkey man goodness.

Didn't realize it was a short story. Hot cover art. As one of the reviewers said it could have been longer, it was a good start retelling Tarzan. Overall a good little story with instalust/love, dub non-con and age gap. Normally I am not bothered by spelling mistakes and wrong words that sound similar but because it was a short story those things took a minute to figure and occasionally because the story move so fast had to try and figure out what was trying to be said. Again sometimes doesn't bother me but it was so short a quick edit or read by a friend could have eliminated some of those concerns. Also would have changed things like frothy milk to come or just or something else, and some of the other euphemisms or phrasing.
Es la historia de tarzan pero una versión mas oscura y spice. Pues me gustó como iba empezando pero cuando los protagonistas se encontraron lo sentí muy forzado no me gustó y el epílogo dejó mas a desear no empatize con ningún personaje.
This really short story could have become something more if only the author had extended it and given the characters some backstory. It was quite difficult to relate to Trenton and Jane, much less feel anything at all for them. Everything was rushed and the way the main characters fell "in love" with each other was totally unbelievable. I'm sorry to say that nothing about this story worked for me.
"Can you make dessert?” "Only if you ask nicely.” “Please?” I whispered. “Please what?” “Please.... daddy?” “You want daddy’s special cream on your dessert?"
So this was actually really good despite the low review. The ending seemed rushed with how quickly the leads fell for each other, but with this being a novella I guess that can't be helped. This is my first Knight book and I can't wait to read more of her work.
Tarzan and Jane - a bit of a beauty and the beast story. Trenton has lived in the jungle on his own for 4 years. Jane gets stranded there during an outing with her father. Trenton saves her life in the jungle and then claims her as his.
It was good but super fast. I want more of this story I def think the author could drop it as full length and knock it out of the park. It's novella length but I still majorly enjoyed it. the Tarzan retelling was different and hottttt
