Every woman wants the Jack Falcon experience.

The son of one of the wealthiest men in Britain, I’m one of the most eligible—and most talked about—bachelors in the county.

You can read about me on the walls of female bathrooms in pubs across the country. Women literally throw themselves at me, and when I’m done, I throw them back and move onto the next one. I make it my mission to be on the tip of every woman’s tongue...

Literally.

My life is prefect, just the way it is.

Until I meet Belle.

At first she’s just a challenge. She’s the woman who isn’t falling for my usual lines, or the smile I’ve worked so hard to perfect. Strong and independent, her youthful beauty is a far cry from the usual type of women I attract.

I’m determined to break her, no matter what it takes, because I can have any woman I want.

Just when I think I have her, the whole game changes. This was the last thing I expected, and I know I need to stay away from her.

Only I can’t. How can you stay away from someone you’re falling in love with?

But worse than that, I know I will eventually end up destroying everything I love about her

“Really, I’m not as bad as my reputation makes me out to be. In fact, I’d go as far to describe myself as a decent guy. I just have no interest in a relationship that extends beyond a quick fuck when it suits me. I really don’t see how it’s my fault or problem if a chick falls for my boyish charms. Every woman seems to think she can change me, that she somehow has something all the other notches on my belt didn’t have.”

5 ++++ Heart Breaking Stars!!!

The inside is not always as beautiful as the shell.
Meet Jack Falcon, 25 year old business man and playboy extraordinaire. He's hot, successful and he damn well knows it! He never lacks for female attention, he has a different woman on his arm and in his bed every night. Life couldn't get any better! Or could it??? And is his life that wonderful, or does it just look that way?

When he sees Belle, he's determined to sleep with her and have her out of his system right after. But his plan turns on him when, he is wrought with feelings he never thought he would have. Belle means something to him, he can't function without her. His life is so much better with her in it.

With everything against them, they slowly fall in love with one another. Their love is sensuous, tentative but it will not be denied. Jack becomes a new man, more caring and less aware of his own charm. His self doubt is what ultimately jeopardizes his relationship with Belle. Will he be able to stop himself from sabotaging his relationship with Belle? Can Belle make him realise how much she loves him?

My Thoughts

When I started reading this book, I thought I was going to read about an egotistical male chauvinist! Just the way I like them! But this book was so much more, it's a book about how love knows no boundaries. Love will not be squashed, so that it may disappear. Love is persistent until you turn around and accept it. This book touched my heart, it made me cry, laugh and cry again!!! Everyone deserves a second chance, and however love comes to us, how ever fleeting it leaves a distinct mark on us!

5 heartbreaking, emotional but beautiful STARS.

First of all, let's meet the player "hero" of our story: ♦ Jack Falcon.

Twenty-five-year-old Jack Falcon is one of Britain's most eligible bachelors. He's got the looks, the charms and the money to make any girl he wants, fall for him.

"That was the beauty of being an attractive, rich bachelor who was regularly in the news: all I had to do was smile and the panties started dropping."

At first when I started reading this story, it reminded me a of Tangled by Emma Chase. Just like Drew, Jack is a overconfident, slightly rude and arrogant but strikingly handsome bachelor whose honesty and sense of humor made it all the more fun to read his point of view.

"Every woman seems to think she can change me, that she has something all the other notches on my belt didn't have."

But then he meets Belle...

"Beauty was everywhere and when you sleep with as many women as I did, it becomes difficult for beauty to stand out. But this woman did just that. She stood out from every other woman I'd been with or wanted to be with."

Belle is unlike any other woman Jack has ever met. She's fierce, strong, confident and instead of chasing him, she's the one who makes him chase her. They embark on a passionate adventure filled with love, lust and passion. Without either of them planning too, they fall for each other and their feelings start to grow deeper and more profound.

"I was falling hard for this girl but I knew her being with me would break her. "

Their relationship has many ups an downs and as the story progresses there are a few "shocking" revelations that kept me on my toes the entire time I was reading this story. All the while I was reading it I just knew things were too good to be true and that something would happen that would mess everything up.

And that something did happen indeed... It was a highly emotional, unexpected event that had me in tears (something that does not happen often to me while reading books or watching movies).

It left me heartbroken and sad and I absolutely did NOT see it coming... BUT it also made me want to read the next part of the series Beautiful Rose ASAP! Seduce is the prequel to that story and gives us a perfect background of the fascinating character that is Jack Falson. This was my first book by Missy Johnson, but I can already say it won't be my last! It doesn't happen often that an author manages to catch me by surprise thema's she did with this story. I enjoyed every minute of this unique and unpredictable story and I can't wait to find out what happens next in the rest of this series...

Books like this one usually dont work for me but this one was not shallow, unlike many others.Rich guys who love getting laid with every woman who acceptes their invitation annoy me to death but Jack has a different story to tell.He is your typical rich,man-whore who has no feelings about his companions. All his actions are the results of an awful and traumatized childhood.Jack is Britain's most eligible bachelor. He is famous, rich, attractive and despite his reputation he is irresistable to women. However his life is a mess,as his past cant be forgotten.

Pay-back is a bitch.
Jack never understood how horrible is to bang someone and then leave without saying a word until a girl,Belle, treated him this way.At first sight Belle seems to be his female version but I must say that she was only playing him.Jack is intrigued and after a long time he finally feels.

He truly wants her but they cant be together.Obviously the attraction is not one sided so they are both determined to fight for what they have and face the consequences of their actions.

Their passion and chemistry is very strong. You will also be surprised with Belle's maturity and how she is handling the situation. She is calm and supportive.Jack is afraid that he wll screw everything up but his soul mate is always there to reassure him that everything's gonna be okay.

So far the story is so interesting and not cheesy,at all. It's hot and captivating. However, when the downhill starts unexpectable emotions will be evoked.Personally I was shocked with myself.Ending up wiping my tears at 2 a.m. wasn't on my schedule.I was devasted and heart broken. He didnt deserve what happened to him.I think fate was really unfair.

I cant wait to read the first book of this series. The prequel was so good and it lefts me wondering how awesome will Beautiful Rose be.

I would definitely recommend this book to you.Their forbidden love is something you will enjoy ( and many of you have enjoyed similar stories in the past) so I think it's a must read.

I can't review this. No rating either.

Dear Jack,

I blame you. You deserve to hurt. You can’t undo what you’ve done but you can face up to it. You can change and become a better man. And you can seek forgiveness and redemption to let go of the hurt but you must earn it first.

B.

Sorry.
Sorry means you feel the pulse of other people's pain as well as your own, and saying it means you take a share of it. And so it binds us together, makes us trodden and sodden as one another. Sorry is a lot of things. It's a hole refilled. A debt repaid. Sorry is the wake of misdeed. It's the crippling ripple of consequence. Sorry is sadness, just as knowing is sadness. Sorry is sometimes self-pity. But Sorry, really, is not about you. It's theirs to take or leave.

Sorry means you leave yourself open, to embrace or to ridicule or to revenge. Sorry is a question that begs forgiveness, because the metronome of a good heart won't settle until things are set right and true. Sorry doesn't take things back, but it pushes things forward. It bridges the gap. Sorry is a sacrament. It's an offering. A gift.

4.5 Erotic and Heartbreaking Stars

Jack Flacon is a rich, sexy, womanizing, heartless asshole...or so it would seem.

He is who he is, and he doesn't feel like he needs to apologize for it.
The thing is, I'm happy being me and I sure as fuck won't change for anyone. I don't need fixing because I'm not broken. I simply work hard and play harder.

His form of play comes with a good glass of scotch, and spending each night with a different woman. After all, variety is the spice of love, and why should he settle down?
Love fucks you up, which is why I didn't do relationships. Relationships lead to love and being in love opens you up to the possibility of being hurt. Love rips your chest open and puts your heart out there to be broken.

Jack may be an asshole of the first order, and treats his cat with more respect than he does women, but that certainly doesn't hurt his game. Because when it comes down to it, Jack seemingly has it all.
Looks...

Money, charm, oh....and a magic penis.
Without trying to sound cocky, it wasn't unusual for women to orgasm three or four times when with me. Maybe I had the perfect shaped dick. Or maybe I just knew what to do with it.

He is seemingly happy with his life. Until he meets her...and then everything changes.

This was not a case of insta-love. But there was insta-lust. When Jack first sees a beautiful green-eyed brunette, he can't get her out of his head. Something about her just calls to him and draws him in like no other woman ever has.

What starts out as one night of passion

Begins to turn into something so much more.

All of a sudden the beautiful brunette is more than a nameless face, she's Belle, and she's unlike any other woman Jack has been with.
It was like she saw right through the fifteen years' worth of barriers I'd built up around myself to the real me. The one I never showed anyone.

In the midst of secrets that could tear them apart, and the passion that burns between them, their bond grows from lust into something so much more.

Jack begins to understand what love can really do to you. But he is terrified that the man that he has become will never be enough for Belle and he will eventually break her heart.

The steam in this book...I thought my kindle would catch on fire. There were parts that made me pant, parts that made me laugh, and parts that made me want an ice cold shower. And then...then there was that ending!

THAT FUCKING ENDING! It caught me by complete and utter surprise.

I'm pretty sure I bawled my eyes out for the entire last 20%.

Seduce is the prequel for Beautiful Rose. It is the story of love lost and learning to move on. It was erotic, it was intense, and it was HEART BREAKING.

I need...MUST HAVE the next book like YESTERDAY!

Missy Johnson, woman, you owe me here! (well not really, but you know what I mean). But seriously, after you made me cry like a maniac, I think we need to come to an arrangement with the next book here. It's only fair! I might go a little batshit here waiting until September. GAH!!!

Alex would say I act the way I do because I’m scared of falling in love. If I were completely honest with myself, I would admit there was some truth to that. Love fucks you up, which is why I didn’t do relationships. Relationships lead to love and being in love opens you up to the possibility of getting hurt. Love rips your chest open and puts your heart out there to be broken. It makes you vulnerable and puts you out on display until eventually it rips through you like an emotional hurricane and destroys you. I’ve seen what love can do to people.

Wow... this book was amazing. It was full of passion, heartbreak, and a twist I didn't see coming.

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

“I'm messed up, Belle. You deserve better than me. I'm scared of hurting you. I-I'm scared of ending up like my father.”

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

Jack Falcon is the CEO of his father's company, which means he is wealthy and in the public eye. He is an attractive, arrogant, brutally honest, egotistical manwhore. I didn't like him at all in the beginning. He goes through women like an alcoholic goes through liquor. And he is totally fine with the way his life is going. He absolutely does NOT do relationships. Just of the sexual kind of course. He also doesn't do the same woman twice, unless they both understand it will not go anywhere more than sex. And this whole book was in his POV. It was very interesting to see every in his perspective. Even though he was an asshole, it was actually quite entertaining to read. I like the way he changes throughout the book when he meets Belle. I also liked his backstory (which was a sad one) because I got to understand why he is the way he is. It's all a facade so that no one can know how truly unhappy he really is. But when he meets Belle, he instantly knows she is different from any other woman. He is intrigued by her, especially when she treats him like he did to all the woman he slept with, a one night stand. He knows he wants and needs more of her.

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

With Belle, I actually
wanted more. No other woman had invoked such feelings inside me. She aroused me, she amazed me, and every day she surprised me with her strength and maturity.

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

Belle was confident, strong, and sweet. She knew what she wanted and went after it. She didn't go after Jack like all the other women did, he chased her. I liked Belle, even though she was a bit too forward for my taste, but still she was a good character. She just wanted great sex from him in the beginning, she wasn't shy to get it from him. From their first passionate encounter, they can't seem to get enough of one another. As time passes, the more Jack falls for her. He starts to feel thing for her he hasn't felt, ever. All he knows is that it feels good. But soon some information is revealed that could get him into a lot of trouble. Information that also threatens to end the relationship they barely just began. Jack and Belle simply can't stay away from each other. Even if their love is forbidden, they continue the relationship and their feelings grow. The thing is, Jack doesn't feel worthy of someone as good as Belle. He is insecure of himself for the first time in his life. He doesn't think he can make her happy in the long run. Belle is determined to make him see that he is a good man, and nothing like the terrible father that raised him.

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

“I love you. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you that when it mattered, but I love you and I will always love you.”

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

Everything goes great, so of course you know something bad will happen. Jack messes up, but what happened next completely shocked me. I had no idea whatsoever. My heart broke, and I ended up crying ugly Tobey Macguire tears. Even though Jack was such a jackass, I started to like him as the book went on. He was changing for the better, and yes he messed up, but I was willing to give him the second chance he needed. I thought he deserved to turn his life around and find the love and happiness he never got growing up. So when this twist came along, I hurt so bad for him and the tears would just not stop. It was such a great book. It felt more like a taste of all the good that there is to come from this series. If you like stories about forbidden loves, male pov's, and don't mind get hurt in the process, then I definitely recommend this book to you. Now, I can't wait to read what happens in the next installment. Thank you Missy Johnson for allowing me to read your book.

5 SEXY, HEARTBREAKING, HOLYSHIT ENDING STARS ...

Wow..... this book just totally floored me. From page one I was hooked.. I mean totally and completely hooked with sexy as fuck Jack Falcon...Rich, entitled, gorgeous.. fucking his way through any hot girl he wanted and usually had a different girl every night... Yep, I have a soft spot for those guys.. and Jack was the whole package...

Really, I’m not as bad as my reputation makes me out to be. In fact, I’d go so far as to describe myself as a decent guy. I just have no interest in a relationship that extends beyond a quick fuck when it suits me. I really don’t see how it’s my fault or problem if a chick falls for my boyish charms.

Then one day...Jack meets his Angel (aka Belle) and something about her just draws him in.. she's sexy and sweet and doesn't seem to know or care that he is THE Jack Falcon. She has an innocence about her but she's very confident at the same time. A combination that Jack just cant resist.

Before we know it... Jack is spending all his time with Belle. They're keeping their relationship hid from friends and family that just wouldn't understand. The chemistry they had was amazing.. it was scorching.. it was CRAZY HOT

Jack is changing...and all because of sweet beautiful Belle. But Jack still feels deep down that he doesn't deserve Belle and he just knows one day he's going to fuck it all up and in a way he does. .at least as far as he concerned. And I felt that way on some level also what he did but what happened after that..... jeez.... talk about some serious ugly crying I had going on. I had to pause and put my Kindle down just so I could see to read. It's been quite a long time since a book tore those feelings out of me. I was a mess... total mess. Just thinking about it.... damn.

And that ending......

OHMYGOD...

Missy.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEE DON'T MAKE US WAIT TILL NOVEMBER FOR BEAUTIFUL ROSE. I need it so bad.. right now.. right fucking now I need that book.

I cannot recommend the book enough...it doesn't really end in a cliffhanger.. but the story is not complete by any means.. much more to come. Just be sure to have a box of tissues with you for the last 20%. I promise, you'll need them.

Such an amazing story. The character development of Jack was just so good. This story is told from his POV by the way which made it that much better. I felt like I really got to know Jack inside and out and that made me so much more invested in him and what was going on with him. One of my favorite book characters ever, honestly.

4.5 emotionally filled stars! Woah, I had to take a breather after that ending, Missy Johnson. You're a sadist!

Meet Jack Falcon- he's an uber successful, hard working, rich, arrogant, HOT, self-professed man-whore. The entire book written in his POV, he tells of his suave moves with the ladies. He's got it down to a science. One and done. Never a repeat. Life would be way too boring settling down to the same piece of tail every night, right? In fact, he treats his beloved cat Mr. Jeffries with more respect than the women in his life. Jack uses sex as his way of replacing the lack of love and attention from his father. His mother, abandoning him and his brother at a very young age left him with a very cold hearted father. A man who runs the empire he works for, and is very successful in doing so. Is Jack happy? Fulfilled? Not by a long shot.

"I saw my life for what it was, a mess. A big fucking mess. My nights were filled with nameless women and empty bottles of scotch, anything to try to fill the void left by my mother, and my constant need for my father's approval."

My Jack-
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

When Jack stops into the local burger joint after a hard day's work, he's taken back by the beauty in the booth across the way. She's in uniform, obviously a waitress here but he's never seen her before. For some odd reason, he can't seem to take his eyes off the dark hair, green-eyed girl.

My Belle-
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Something is different about Belle. All Jack's charm falls to the waist side. He's not after a one nighter. He wants to get to know this girl, be a better person for her. He starts with driving her home that night when she encounters a flat tire.

“This girl had me so hard I was at risk of dislocating my cock.”

This book had a fantastic combination of arrogant, witty dialogue I LOVE from said man-whore. He was just dreamy.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

The chemistry between Belle and Jack was sizzling, the scenes well played out....scorching hot. Jack couldn't get enough of Belle. He had zero desire for any other women. What has she done to him?

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

We get the humor that's Jack, the heart-pounding sensuality that is Belle/Jack, and then we get that ending! Oh my Lordy....what are you doing to me, Missy Johnson!

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

All I've got to say is hold on.....it's gonna be a ride. Cannot wait for Beautiful Rose, to be released in November 2013. Is this a cliffy? No. Does it leave you with a profound need for closure, a HEA, heck yes! Now, I do have to admit, other reviews had given me a heads up on the ending (thanks for the virtual box of tissues, LKay) so it didn't shock me but it doesn't take away from the sadness. I had to take some time..... Digest to write this review.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Consider yourself warned.....then dive into this fabulous love story. Come back and thank me for the tissue warning.

Reviewing is serious business.

Oh wait, it really isn't. You throw out a few words about your thoughts on a book and move on. Sometimes you like a book, sometimes you don't. Sometimes you don't even want to have to go into listing out all of the reasons in great detail (with quotes and pics to enthusiastically drive home the point) why you did or didn't like a book because you're just not all that passionate about your reasons in the first place.

This is one of those times.

Seduce was okay. Honestly. I don't have any big GRRRRRR feelings toward it. Yes, there was some extreme cheese phrasing. Yes, there were some typos. Yes, the guy sounded like a guy who was written by a female who was trying to sound like a guy (even extremely arrogant guys probably don't have that much internal dialogue about every single thing which makes them desirable - it kept coming back up just when I thought it was over). Yes, there were multiple scene breaks, to the point where I wondered if a smooth transition would ever be made. Yes, I felt like I'd read this story before in other books. But... none of those things made me think, "wow, this book sucks." Because the book honestly didn't suck. The story was extremely readable.

This is where I blame my voracious reading appetite for my lack of enthusiasm. I read a lot. It's hard not to compare books, especially when similar plot twists in other books,

Because we didn't have an entire book of watching two people falling in love, and didn't get to see much of their relationship outside of how compatible they were in the bedroom, I didn't have much to attach to. This was a shorter story about two people and their raging sexual attraction (and for the record, there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with that; in fact I like erotic short stories/novellas). I'm just noting that because I didn't have time to get to fall in love with the characters, this was why And since I gathered that this entire last part of the book was supposed to be what the hook was, I had a very "eh" reaction when it failed to hook me because I hadn't been emotionally invested.

Call me spoiled by stories which have fired on all cylinders and have managed to get me emotionally invested in every single thing that was going on... because this story was nothing like that. However, Seduce was a sexy little quickie. Again, nothing wrong with that. I like sexy little quickies. And again, Seduce was completely readable. In fact, I am interested in reading the next book because I have the feeling that this story will impact huge character growth for the lead. With a little bit of editing/polishing, and a longer book (which I assume it will be, since this was a prequel short), I might find myself rooting for character happiness.

*edit* Went to delete my notes and realized that I almost left out the obligatory "Stacia hates the overdone love/drug reference*...

She was like a drug, an addiction.

5 beautifully heartbreaking stars!!

What a story!! I must admit this one took me by surprise...

Jack Falcon...

Britain's most eligible bachelor..
His got it all...

Money, good looks, charm..
Women fall at his feet literally and can have anyone which he wants.

"I made no secret about who I was or what I wanted, and honestly, any woman willing to go home with me knew what to expect."

For the night that is.. Jack doesn't do the whole relationship thing.

"Love fucks you up, which is why I didn’t do relationships. Relationships lead to love and being in love opens you up to the possibility of getting hurt. Love rips your chest open and puts your heart out there to be broken. It makes you vulnerable and puts you out on display until eventually it rips through you like an emotional hurricane and destroys you."

His more of a Wham-Bham-Goodbye-Ma'am kind of guy.

I love this cocky son of a biach!!!

Until he meets Belle...

"She had the kind of face I’d remember, and coming from me that said a lot. Beauty was everywhere, and when you sleep with as many women as I did, it becomes difficult for beauty to stand out. But this woman did just that. She stood out from every other woman I’d been with or wanted to be with."

She is different to all the nameless girls his ever been with and before Jack realizes, his broken everyone of his rules- he chases Belle and finds himself thinking and wanting her and her only.

When Jack finds out a shocking truth about Belle, this isn't enough to keep him away...

There is such a heartbreaking shocker towards the ending!!
It literally had me in tears!!!

After this I am anxiously awaiting for the next installment in this series!!

***** 4 1/2 Emotionally Touching Stars *****

Never did I think I was going to cry through this book.  The way it starts out, the author portrays Jack as being an arrogant asshole who thinks his shit just don't stink!!

He is the type of "player" that picks up women almost every night, brings them to a different building of his, has sex, makes up an excuse and leaves them there without a number or "good-bye".  Never sleep with the same woman twice is Jack's motto, until...

I was hating on Jack until he met Belle.  Wow - what a story there - Jack finally met his match in the relationship scene.  Not only did this woman "rock his world" but:

-she never gave Jack her name
-didn't give a phone number
-didn't mention about seeing him again
-didn't stay after sex
-didn't try to contact him

Jack is floored and is instantly mesmerized by this woman!  And searches her out to continue the whirlwind romance - but then it happens......

A glitch is thrown in the perfect relationship which makes things VERY VERY complicated but Jack knows what he wants and can't give it up.

Jack is such a troubled soul and tries his best to live a decent life but from his upbringing, it is difficult for him to know what love is - until it's too late.

There comes a time in the book that Jack has to make a choice between what his father wants and what is the "right" thing to do and.....I'm sorry you are going to have to read the book to find out what that is.

I'm going to leave you with a bit of hint about this book.....make sure you have tissues close by!

5 Hot, Intense, Heart-Breaking, Unexpected Stars!!

Okay I left this book for a few days so I could calm myself down and not scream LIFE IS SO DAMN UNFAIR AND I HATE IT!! every time I saw this book! *sobs*
It didn't work I am still fukin heartbroken

Whyyyy? why oh why did that have to happen??!
I hope Beautiful Rose can mend my broken heart, can't wait to read it ..
Seduce is a prequel to Beautiful Rose..this is Jacks story, a story of change, heartbreak, love, loss and healing..

"Love fucks you up, which is why I didn't do relationships. Relationships lead to love and being in love opens you up to the possibility of being hurt. Love rips your chest open and puts your heart out there to be broken."

Jack Falcon is a 25 year old business man and playboy extraordinaire, for him women are mere objects to be used for his pleasure..He doesn't do relationships and he thinks he is better unattached, that is until he meets Belle..she changes things, and he can't stop himself from falling..

Belle is young enigmatic and she sees right through Jacks hard exterior. He has his reasons for not being involved in relationships, his past is always clouding his future. Living in a dysfunctional family can make you think that you don't deserve the best or that relationships will fail and you will screw up no matter what..the apple doesn't fall far from the tree blah blah and so on right? But not everyone follows in the footsteps of their parents..

"It was like she saw right through the fifteen years' worth of barriers I'd built up around myself to the real me. The one I never showed anyone."

Jack is drawn to Belle, he doesn't know what it is about her but he just cant let her go..no matter how hard he tries..
But when Jack is called to have dinner with his best friend and his wife, he is shocked to see his angel, Belle is there as well, the women he cant't get out of his head..is his best friends sister-in-law?!
He finds out her real age here and things begin to get even more complicated..

This book had me hooked and I couldn't stop until I had finished it, I thought it would be a straightforward player falls in love and changes and so on..I was sooo wrong because this story blew my mind. I love being surprised and shocked but this nearly killed me!!

I really enjoyed the journey and how Belle changed him for the better..Time heals all pain..Will time heal Jack? We will be finding out soon..

I was provided with an advanced electronic copy of this book from the author in return of an honest review. This review will be also posted on Smokin’ Hot Book Blog.

This amazing book totally blew up my every expectation and purely rocked my world! It was the best way to spend evening and night, I could ever dream of. Highly passionate and sensual as well as heart breaking Seduce, have done something incredible to me and my insides! With a hint of great humour and spectacular sensuality, this book is like the greatest mix of romance novel as well as pure entertaiment.

This story will touch you in the most intimate way and change you into blubbering mess. Seduce is like ocean when the strom’s coming: Dangerous, unpredictable and dark. There’s nothing you can do to prevent inventible, because you can only observe and feel.

This story reminded me of Tangled by Emma Chase, or should I say the first part of it is a little bit like that book. In extremely funny and amusing way we follow story of Jack Falcon. Arrogant, rich, handsome and extraordinary man, who’s full of himself. He likes he’s scotch just fine as well as line of willing women that fall to his feet. So why shouldn’t he live a little and have fun?

But this story isn’t just about playboy who finds his match and changes his way. It’s a lot of more.

„That much was true. I’ve seen what love can do to people.”

Missy Johnson created heart wrenching novel that made me shed tears. There is nothing better in reading that being enchanted and mesmerized by a story which becomes so close to you and your heart that you feel it pulsating in your veins and Seduce made me feel like this.

Seduce is captivating, seat gripping novel that is absolutely beautiful and heart shattering. Reading it is torment but in the best possible way. I couldn’t stop reading until I’ve finished, until my heart broke and tears flew easily.

Well, I have so many more things to say! But unfortunately I can’t just spoil you this book! So you’ll have to read it by yourself.
Seduce is phenomenal and breathtaking experience you have to feel by yourself. This intense and passionate story is pure perfection. There aren’t enough words in every language to describe this book without destroying suspense and other emotions.

"Being in love sucked. Things were much easier when I was just an asshole. I took what I wanted without caring how my actions affected others. I'd rather hurt myself than risk hurting her."

This book sucker-punched me right in the gut and I never saw it coming. They say all good things must come to an end and sadly they do in this book. In the beginning I found it very hard to like Jack Flacon. He's a complete d*ck. He uses women and disregards their feelings as easily as breathing.
"Every woman seems to think she can change me, that she has something all the other notches on my belt didn't have."

description
When Jack meets Belle, this ladies man is reformed and becomes Jack 2.0, a loving, caring one-woman man. I was delighted in seeing Jack brought to his knees when he fell in love with Belle. "She stood out from every other woman I'd been with or wanted to be with." I liked Belle right away she was sweet, bold and just what Jack needed to set him straight. Even though he appears to be the embodiment of a cocky, smart and sophisticated guy, Jack is very insecure in his relationship with Belle. He constantly fears that he will not be enough for her, or that she'll grow tired of him.
"No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get the idea of hurting her out of my head. No matter how pure my intentions were, it would happen."

description
I read tons of reviews before reading this so halfway through there was a huge knot in my stomach because I knew some sh*t would hit the fan. Trust me when I say it hit the fan big time. I felt like one minute I was skipping in a field, smelling daisies, happy and enjoying this book, and the next second the ground beneath me opened up and I fell in a pit full of scorpions, snakes and other horrors. Why Missy Johnson? Why could you not allow me to remain in my field happily smelling the daisies? I won't say much about the plot, because there are little surprises along the way as you read. However, I will say that I enjoyed this immensely and I absolutely cannot wait for book one. This was an excellent prequel that provided great background for Jack's character and build up for this series.

"Everything that is beautiful is caught up in you,
I'm so into you baby, that this is what I wanna do,
These feelings make me nervous, its something so new,
But I'm into you darlin' and I'm gonna see this through
Everything that is beautiful is caught up in you"

Meet Jack Falcon…

“Girls were checking me out like they always did. At least I didn’t have to go through the hassle of wooing one of them, pretending to be someone I wasn’t. I already knew I was taking one home with me, I just wasn’t sure which one it would be. That was the beauty of being an attractive, rich bachelor who was regularly in the news: all I had to do was smile and the panties started dropping.”

Isn’t he charming? This is the egotistical and jaded Jack I was first introduced to in the beginning of the story. Jack is the CEO of his father’s company and makes millions every year. He’s Britain’s most eligible bachelor and the ultimate manwhore. He screws women and leaves them without a second thought. He gives more respect to his cat Mr. Jeffries than he does the women he sleeps with. He works hard but parties harder. The partying and women all stem from having a loveless relationship with his father and being abandoned by his mother. He’s angry and fears intimacy. Truthfully, Jack doesn’t like his life. He’s a mess. His life is a mess. Then he meets Annabelle Gale while eating at a diner one night. She captivated him the moment he saw her.

Belle is not what you see is what you get. She is a mystery to Jack and to the reader. At first, Belle gives Jack the run around. She does to Jack what he’s done to so many women: she sleeps with him and then disappears. Now Jack has come to think that Karma is pissed at him. Jack’s been seduced by Belle and now an unfamiliar feeling has arisen: want. He wants her bad. There is something about this girl that makes him want, no - NEED, to chase her and make her his. Yet he’s the one that’s been caught by the beautiful girl with the free spirit and feisty attitude.

I barely knew this girl, yet the thought of never seeing her again made me angry.
Fuck, I did have feelings. Who knew?

But Belle is keeping a secret that would make things extremely complicated between them. And once this secret is revealed, Jack must decide how to proceed. It’s a delicate situation that could make his life hell. But hell is looking good every time he’s around her. They end up developing an intense relationship where they both fall hard for one another - even with the complexity of the situation hanging over their heads. And, to make things even more complicated, Jack fears he is going to ruin her if she stays with him. Jack continues to struggle with his issues. He wants to give Belle everything but doesn’t know how to let go of his inner demons that plague him every day.

This story is told from Jack’s POV and what an interesting and well-done POV is it. Jack describes himself in a bitter yet humorous tone as the ultimate womanizing asshole. I loved him immediately. He is suffering from emotional issues that cause him to be cynical about life. It was obvious that his life felt empty and that he needed someone to love him hard and to show him what he’s worth. And that’s exactly what Belle does for him. Belle accepted him and understood him. Belle’s fun-loving and laid back personality made Jack’s head spin with want. And her sexiness made his head spin with need. She’s the female version of Jack and exactly what he needed in his life. The chemistry between them is fierce. And the sex between them is sexy as hell. There is no doubt they get each other and belong together. So, even though the odds were against them, there was no way they could stay away from each other. They needed each other like they needed air to breathe.

Unfortunately, Jack has a way with messing things up. I anticipated something was going to happen for most of the story but then, suddenly, this story took me in a direction that struck me speechless. First I was angry and then I was a blubbering mess. My heart was shredded.

I don’t want the reader to go into this book anticipating something the entire time they read. Just go with the flow and meet Jack Falcon. You won’t be able to stop yourself from falling in love with him, even with all his flaws and asshole ways. Underneath the façade, you will find that this man is definitely redeemable and a loveable hero.

Seduce blew me away with the clever writing and the surprising twist. What starts out as a humorous and cynical story turns into a passionate, shocking, heartbreaking, and beautiful tale about two people from different worlds that fall madly in love. I was mesmerized by Jack and Belle’s story. They made me swoon and melt with the intensity of their relationship. I was taken aback by the emotional turmoil I felt. And the sex in this book is off the charts hot and spicy. This book isn’t perfect. There are flaws that stuck out to me but, in my opinion, not worth mentioning. I highly recommend reading this prequel to the Beautiful Rose series. I’m stoked to read the next book, Beautiful Rose.

Where to begin with this one, I am not exactly sure? I have got to be honest and say that the first 84% of this book, I was kind of scratching my head thinking, "Hmmmm, why so popular?" I was having a very hard time with Belle's age, and through most of the story I thought Jack was an an egotistical, pompous, perverted, jerk! Needless to say, I wasn't that emotionally drawn in, and certainly not very invested in this book. Sure, the sex was hot, and the author is a great writer but I just couldn't get over the age situation. Then lo and behold, I hit 84% and the whole tone of the book changed, and I was literally biting my finger nails and speechless..(except for a few choice swear words!) Missy Johnson finally grabbed my attention with her wicked writing skills, and my emotions were in for a ride of their lives. I must have gone through at least two boxes of kleenex, and all of a sudden I developed feelings for Jack that I didn't even know I was capable of! I am now kicking myself in the arse that I didn't wait to read this until the next book is out! My impatience struck again, and I just had to read this now! I now join all of the others waiting with their breath held for the continuation of Jack's story. I can't wait to see what life will throw at him next!

I don't want to say too much about this book and what went on; as I feel it is one of those stories where it should be experienced first hand rather than told about it. All I can say is to be patient with it, even if you end up bored while reading the first bit of the story just remember that it does pick up and grab your attention without letting go!

Poor Jack. *sniff*

I admit I didn't like him at first and the writing was a little choppy for me. But it got better and better as the pages went on. Now I can't wait to read book two.

Readers Beware: You will experience heartbreak.

I enjoyed this prequel, but I found it to be lacking depth or just more in the scenes between Jack and Belle. I'm not sure if it was because it was an all male pov of the main character Jack Falcone or not. I found scenes to be a bit choppy and not explored enough. Could be a case of it's not you it's me...

Overall, I did like the main character Jack Falcon and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for him in the novel Beautiful Rose to be released in November, 2013.

Jenny: Wow. I’m sat here trying to formulate words to tell you how I felt about this book and I just don’t know where to start. It certainly gripped me and took me on a ride and a half that’s for sure.

To be honest, when I started reading this my first thought was felt quite similar to Tangled. It started out quite witty and Jack’s inner monologue was a bit reminiscent of Drew, but then..…..well, that’s where any similarity ended.

Seduce is told from 25 year old Jack’s POV and wasn’t he just the womanising, egotistical bastard Gitte? But I’m also guessing that like me, you kind of loved this self-centred jerk.

“Even if they hated me, it wouldn’t stop them wanting me.”

Oh sigh…why do we always fall for these arrogant fictional bastards? Jack held little or no regard for anyone other than himself. He has his work, his mates, gets drunk on a regular basis, and beds anything on two legs, goes to sleep and wakes up and does it all over again.

“There was a reason I was so popular with the ladies, and it had plenty to do with what I packed below the belt.”

The only thing Jack seems to care about as much Jack is his cat Mr Jefferies – I loved this relationship – if that’s what you call it by the way. Seeing Jack with Mr Jefferies is when you got to see the heart of Jack, though it really is buried deep under years of cynicism and emotional issues due to the abandonment he still feels after his mother left him when he was nine.

“No matter how bad things are for you, how can you justify leaving your children in an environment you can’t handle yourself.”

I’m still quite gobsmacked over this book. It certainly took us through the paces, wasn’t anything like I expected and I’m still trying to get my head together. What about you Gitte? Have you processed your thoughts yet?

Gitte: Hell no I haven’t Jenny. I can’t stop thinking about it. And you are spot on. It was not what I expected. To be honest I think Jack says it best himself:

“Really, I’m not as bad as my reputation makes me out to be. In fact, I’d go as far as to describe myself as a decent guy. I just have no interest in a relationship that extends beyond a quick fuck when it suits me. I really don’t see how it’s my fault or a problem….” – Jack

Yes he’s a man slut, actually he’s quite the stereotypical fictional bad boy of the hour. However, you can’t blame the poor bloke. His childhood sucked leaving him with deep emotional scars and he’s never had that stable female role model in his life to soften him as his Mum left the home at such an early age.

“How could I blame her for leaving? The answer was I didn’t, I only blamed her for not taking us with her.” – Jack

Saying that though, if he’d had a Dad that cared, was a decent human being and had taught him mutual respect that in itself would have been enough. So yeah, I actually really liked Jack despite his whorish ways hahaha. Oh and yeah Jenny, I LOVED his relationship with Mr Jefferies, those moments showed his vulnerability and his heart. No doubt!

Jenny: I had no idea what to expect going into Seduce. The synopsis intrigued me but the twists and turns that ensued, the reveals through the book..well, they literally blew my mind and I had quite a few WTF! moments.

Jack is completely and undeniably emotionally shut down. He pretty much goes through the motions day in day out and until he meets Belle, he thought his life would go on that way.

“People who were satisfied with their lives depressed me.”

In Belle, Jack found a woman who accepts him. Who understands his quirks, his sense of humour…well, she just gets Jack. And for Jack everything about Belle resonates with him. His feelings towards this woman are unexpected and foreign and throw Jack for a loop that’s for sure. She tests him in every way.

I adored Belle. She was caring, direct and passionate and she was more than a match for Jack.

“She was treating me the way I treated everyone else, and I didn’t like that.”

But Jack is an expert at messing up. It’s what he does best and you end up anticipating throughout the story, the moment Jack will to do just that.

“Was I that fucked up that I’d sabotage the best think in my life?”

I’m so mindful not reveal anything about this story so as not to ruin other readers’ enjoyment of Seduce because you really do need to experience this book blind.

All I will say is READ THIS BOOK BEFORE SOMEONE RUINS IT. There. That’s it. So go forth and smile at the humour, gasp at the shocks and surprises, experience the passion, intensity, emotion and steam factor of Seduce, but please do it all before you hear about it from someone else.

There were a couple of timeline and continuity issues throughout the book but these did not hamper my overall feelings in regard to Seduce. Gah, I am still trying to sort my head out on this one. I really liked it, it tore me to pieces and I’m still picking my heart – and my mouth – up off the floor.

Gitte, do you agree about others not spoiling this book for readers?

Gitte: Absolutely Jenny, I wish with everything I have that readers get to experience this story without it having been spoilt! The WTF moments….well they grab you by the throat and come out of nowhere.

As you said Jenny, Jack doesn’t believe in love for the reasons of never have experienced true parental love, to love and ultimately be hurt in return as a child leaves deep scars and feelings of abandonment. The love that shapes us and teaches us what it feels like to receive it and how to give it is so very important.

“Love fucks you up, which is why I didn’t do relationships. Relationships lead to love and being in love opens you up to the possibility of getting hurt. Love rips your chest open and puts your heart out there to be broken….” – Jack

Then Belle happens….and the emotional journey of Jack begins; and what a journey it is. It’s filled with humour, passion, self-discovery, hope and raw emotion! A must read for sure!!

He sees Angel (aka Belle) at the diner and is blown away by her. Something about her catches his eye.

After finding she has a flat tire he takes her home. He comes back to the diner the next day to see her and she winds up coming to his house. Their relationship progresses from there. He finds out something about Angel which is shocking but he's so in love with her he can't stay away.

In an effort to please his father he has to wine and dine a colleague's daughter. He makes the mistake of not letting Belle know what he's doing. She finds out and runs off. It ends in a disaster that somewhat shocked me.

Overall it was a decent, quick read. I do feel that because it was short many parts were rushed so I didn't enjoy them as much as I would have liked.

4 Really Surprising and Thoughtful Stars * * * *

I was drawn to this due to the blurb... sexy, cocky guy... full of himself... British and hot... finds his comeuppance when he meets the "one". Thinking this should be a quick little novella of fun... I dived right in.

Started the read and enjoying the man's POV...because you all know that is a huge bonus for me :)

Anyway all of the usual is happening; snappy dialogue... silly situations with the women being all over themselves for him... we learn the necessary back story of tragic up bring... no love ... mother leaves due to horrific, cold father... older brother leaves because he will not follow the path the father wanted... all of these elements are perfect, the story is breezing along and then he meets her... and just like in the movie, The Godfather like Al Pacino... he is thunderstruck....

He interacts with this girl, Belle... just this beautiful, fresh, dewy girl... yet not so innocent. She was someone who had a clear eye.... had experienced a pick up line or two... and was equally as taken with him. They, of course, fall and fall hard for each other. The sex is hot; there is actual moments of tenderness and loving.

But as I read this, I see signs that things weren't going to be easy.... I felt things were going to go bad... there was going to be some type of miscommunication or something... and those type of things did happen but I have to say... to this author's credit ... I had no fucking idea of what she had in store for me....

So here is where I tell you if you want to read the prequel to Beautiful Rose - Do at your own risk... but the risk is so worth it because I may be a mess right now due to this book and her talent... but I am also so primed and ready for the next part... because I will be bringing to the table all that this gave me and I think my read will be richer for it.

So in the end I say, Well Done, Missy Johnson.
