A very early Taba text - extremely abstract, making an argument against behaviourism and for learning as a process of becoming and meaning making. Felt indulgently obtuse - though some of the arguments are the same as Dylan Wiliam has been making as frontpage TES articles against prescribing best practice without sensitivity to individuals and context.
