A chance airport layover creates the perfect atmosphere for a passionate one night stand for Jocelyn Wade and Jared Wyatt. They never expected their worlds to collide again a few days later. But now that Jared Wyatt has seen the spirit under the CEO facade, he's willing to fight for what he's discovered in Jocelyn, the person she locked deep inside years ago.

This is a wonderfully well written, extremely steamy romance! The characters and the romance was completely realistic and relate-able...pulling you into the characters plight. I found the story heart warming as well as romantically blistering making Next Move a fantastic erotic read.

I received this copy of Next Move from Ellora's Cave in exchange for an honest review.

Oh holly hell. This was one sexy read. I mean take one hot take charge soccer coach and a no-nonsense business woman who is used to leading the way and sparks really start to fly. After meeting ans spending one night together Jocelyn & Jared don’t think they’ll ever see each other again. Little do they know that circumstances will through them together just a few days later.

Being set in a small town High school sports & the town Chamber of Commerce rule the show & since Jocelyn & Jared are the leaders of each they are forced to work closely together. Jared want’s Jocelyn and doesn’t hide the fact, but Jocelyn insists that she “doesn’t do relationships”. So one sexy pursuit begins.

Over all its a pretty short read but its fun and sexiness makes up for it. If you are looking for a short steamy story to pass the time this is a great choice.

I’ll leave you with a couple of my favorite quotes from the book:

“And I thought you wanted to fuck. Can you handle it, babe?”

“The bed didn’t break, but its on the other side of the room. That counts in my book.”

“Debbie Hester, leaning over Jared to offer cleavage and well-tanned legs for his viewing pleasure….She should do something about the cellulite. Meow. So bellow you, Joci.”

My first thoughts about this book? This novella reads like a movie. It has a brilliant flow and is very well put together. Garie employs fluid descriptions that bring the scenes to life. Everything is brought forward in a very vivid way, while remaining completely natural and realistic. It’s a brilliant balance. Garie has pulled everything together to create a yummy, heartening story that keeps you on your toes.

Garie has developed some intriguing and very strong characters. I appreciate that bothe the male and female leads are strong individuals. Garie proves that you can have an alpha male without having a subordinate female. I also love how the characters interact with one another. They’re real people with real world issues and it shows. No one is perfect. In fact, learning disabilities and family drama play a large role in this novella making everyone all the more human.

This novella is hot & racy. It’s a brilliant way to spend an afternoon. Above all, however, it has a real story behind it that keeps you captivated.

Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Review: I found it hard to relate to the characters. I believe they should have been more developed.

The story line flowed very smoothly. I did not realize I was done with the book until I hit the end with nothing else to read but the author bio.

The only way that I can describe this book, is with a sport analogy. It to me was like watching a basketball game between two of my favorite teams. There was some witty and colorful humor with lots of sport analogies thrown in to feel like your emotions were part of the game.

I was so much engaged with my senses that I had to read this book in one setting.
The dialogue flowed to keep me in tuned to the characters and worked well with the settings.

I just could not become the character. They felt they were the team out on the court instead of me being a part of their team, I was seating in the bleachers.
I for that, give this book 4 star.

Quote: “Oh Lord, he’s luscious. Jocelyn clasped his outstretched hand, holding it longer than necessary. Her eyes swallowed him whole from his too-long black hair to well-worn roper boots. The in-between stuff wasn’t bad either. Faded black jeans molded to long, lean, well-muscled thighs, a black t-shirt strained against corded biceps and ice-blue eyes twinkled in amusement at her blatant inspection of his assets.

With equal bravado, he looked up and down her body in obvious appreciation. Those piercing eyes burned into her and sparked a flash fire in her womb. Her nipples and toes tingled.”

Jocelyn is a single mother, strong woman and Chamber of Commerce CEO. She has no time for a man, until one night with a stranger named Jared shows her she can shake off the shackles of her life. Once back in her town, she attempts to forget the night of passion, but at her first meeting she is faced with Jared. Jared is sure he is done with women after a disastrous marriage with an ambitious woman. Jocelyn proves she is more than the ambition that appears on the surface, and he thinks maybe he has found the lady for him. Will she be happy to see him in her hometown or will she shut him out? Jocelyn thinks she has no room for a man. Jared is determined to find a place in her life. When the pressure is on from outside influences, will Jocelyn and Jared give up on a future or will they fight for each other and their small town? I love, love, love Next Move. I could not put the book down as the romance sizzles from the first page. Ms. Garie sucks readers into the world she has created and makes them wish they could become a part of the story. The writing is superb. The characters are both wonderful and realistic. I highly recommend Next Move and Ms. Garie. Next Move is about Jocelyn, a strong-willed single mother who has a very important role in the community. She’s a leader and she knows how to command her people. Because of her responsibilities, she keeps her needs the least of her priorities.

Then, she meets Jared, a man who knows how to take control. With all the baggage Jocelyn has, she decided to give herself one night off. One night with no strings attached and burned passion with Jared made it unforgettable.

The book started so strong that it instantly caught my attention. I like how the book was straight to the point. But from there, it went into downward spiral. I don’t know if it’s because of the politics part but maybe how it was put into the book. I can think of other issues that can make the relationship of Joce and Jared struggle but politics is not a big factor to spice up the book. Nevertheless, I like the heat and passion between the two. Both of them came from a relationship where they were the ones who’ve been left behind so it’s nice to read two people pass their fears and eventually find themselves ready to love again.

An unexpected layover, an accidental switch of suitcases, and agreement to not talk about work and one hot, steamy night. That’s how the book starts and it only gets better from there.

Jocelyn is a type A person. Headstrong, determined, and doesn’t take no for an answer. She’s a mom, a daughter and a CEO. She has no time for anything else. Jared is a no –nonsense, take charge Soccer coach.

When they come face to face with each other at an event in her town and she learns he is the new athletic director at the high school everything changes. She doesn’t want a relationship, she doesn’t have time for a relationship but Jared does. He wants her and he will stop at nothing to get her.

This is a love story between two people who have been hurt in the past. This book is hot, steamy and leaves you salivating for more. With characters you’ll love, a story that’s engaging you will have no other choice than to love this book.

Sabrina Garie scored a goal with this book.

I enjoyed reading Sabrina Garie's Next Move. The story involves a Jocelyn, single mother who is also the support system for her brothers and aging father. Jared, a high school coach with relationship demons that would seem to make him the wrong man for Jocelyn. I like the way the characters seem real. They do not just fall into a relationship, they have to work for it. I really like that one character realizes they have not learned to speak the same language, and have been saying the same thing without knowing it. This is my first story from Sabrina Garie but will not be the last.

This is how an erotic novella should be. A hot couple with a strong story-line. Jocelyn meets Jared an has a short fling with him. A short time later, Joci finds out that she will be running into Jared, a lot.
Joci is a very strong woman and Jared will teach her that sometimes even a strong person needs to lean on the one you come to love. I felt their connection from the first pages and I loved their sizzling scenes. I will definitely be reading more from this author, Sabrina Garie.

This story jumps right into hot and just gets hotter! The hurdles that Joci and Jared overcome make this a true romance. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves their romance novels and enjoys watching the couple overcome any and all adversity.
