Diverse books, such as this, are always a treat. Not all children are white--or, even black, for that matter--so it was nice to see Hispanic children and Asian children in this book as well. And, it's always nice to see a parent spending time with thier child and being so caring.

I really like the idea of this book but the final product feels a bit rough.

The text starts off straight into examples, which felt abrupt both times that I read it. Time Together: Me and Dad could have used a generic opener like "There are many ways I spend time together with Dad" or even just reused the "Moments big. Moments small. Time with Dad is the best time of all." text from the back cover.

I also hate to say this, but I'm not sure Pascal Campion's illustrations here are the best match. Not because I dislike his art (I follow him on Instagram and think he's great) but because he has a very fluid, sketchy style. And the illustrations for Time Together: Me and Dad are especially sketchy even for Campion's signature style. Pairing this art with the opener-less text makes the whole thing feel unfinished.

Such an excellent topic for a picture book: Celebrating everyday moments of closeness between the narrator and her father.

Simple language, relatable scenes, graceful pictures -- reading this book, it's enjoyment time.

FIVE STARS and thanks to author Maria Catherine and illustrator Pascal Campion.

This is a book about the precious time a child spends with his or her dad. Page after page is filled with illustrations of special moments that take place between child and father.

I was captivated by the simplicity of the design of this book. A scene is presented with just a few words, but that is all it takes to reach the emotions of the heart. As I read this book I couldn't help but think of my own dad and how special he was, is, and always will be to me. I really believe that this book presents a message that we should all cherish our moments with our loved ones rather than wasting them and taking them for granted. I honestly think that this book is for young and old and would make a great gift for children as well as a wonderful Father's Day gift.

I rated this book 5/5 stars and highly recommend it.

Time Together: Me and Dad is one of the cutest children's books I have seen in awhile. The illustrations are gorgeously done. I mean, GORGEOUS. When a children's book has artwork that intrigue both parent and child, you know it is a keeper.

This book is definitely meant for younger readers, preschoolers. My baby girl is two years old and loves to read books so I would love to add this to our growing collection. It would be excellent as a Father's Day gift.

Little ones will appreciate reading about activities with daddy and parents will stay interested by the artwork and quality time that will ensue. Hard to go wrong with this one!

I received a copy of this children's book from the publisher via Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

I really thought this book was great. Told in very simple language and vivid artwork, this book shows different ways dads and their children can have a great time while spending quality time with one another. I think this would especially be great for Father's Day. Another thing I liked about this book, is there aren't as many books on the market today that focus on a father's relationship with the children. Every book always seems to have the mom but not the dad. This was a refreshing change.

At first I was hesitant to share this with my daughter as her father isn't in her life. However, once we started reading those fears dissipated. My daughter and I both adored this simple, beautiful and (wonderfully) diverse story. The illustrations were beautiful of father's and children of all races. Any book I'm forced to read six times at the requests of my three year old must have done something right.

The powerful illustrations in this book almost render the words unnecessary, though their simple structure elevates the simplicity from quaint to touching. Children will easily relate to these rambunctious and chipper kids and their exciting partners in crime: their dads.

Diverse and open to interpretation, this is a wonderful selection.

Maria Catherine's "Time Together: Me and Dad" should be a must-read for parents and young children. The easy verses and colorful illustrations hold everyone's attention, whether young or old.

Add the companion book, Time Together: Me and Mom, and you've got the makings of a fine addition to your child's "read it again" library.
