Con and Grace used to be lovers, you know in the way Romeo and Juliet were, and things were great then.
But then the parents found out, and a surprise incident also happened - which also caused them to break apart.
Years later, they meet again after Grace is threatened by a stalker, and creepy photos. Con obviously assigns someone else to the job, because you know, old bitter feelings.
But soon he has to get involved, because it's just become more personal and he's opened his eyes - lo and behold - he still loves her. And now he'll do anything to make sure she's safe - along with his family involved, the security guys and making peace with their past.
I loved being in this story - it is so much more than the s---y cover. There was anger, wit, banter, and then there was emotions, and chemistry - which is a must requirement in romance regardless of a HEA or not - and because they were Grace and Con - I thoroughly enjoyed spending my time with them for all those factors.
The side characters are also so damn adorable, funny and cute -that I desperately want their stories now. Alright? Morgan has done it again, that's why.
And those plot twists and ending - damn got me all spinning and twisted like no tomorrow - and I was so there for it.
I was actually so in it for the damn story that yes I skipped most of my sleep for this - so imagine how damn wowza it was.
Can't wait to read more by Morgan.

Grace comes back home, Con is less than thrilled she is back. They were high school sweetheart that ended in a bad breakup, orchestrated by her father and she left town. It is second chance romance full of secrets, pain, stalking, healing and reconnection. Good read that draws you in with suspense and steam.

I am always a fan of the second chance romance trope. Con and Grace obviously had history and it did not end well. As much as I understand Con being angry with her because of how things ended I also thought he was acting like a heroine usually does. I feel like it would have been better if we didn’t see his POV first hand. I am not a fan of knowing the hero’s feelings throughout the story. I think it would have been better if this book was written in the heroine’s POV only.
We do not get the full picture of what happened in the past until later on in the story which adds to the suspense to continue reading. While there are things that I was not a fan of I know it was a personal preference and other readers may enjoy this type of story.

This was a wonderful romantic suspense. To finally read Con's story was wonderful. The raw emotion and development of growth of both Con and Grace was very well done and the sensitive topics were handled with care. The author did a wonderful job of weaving this second chance romance with the suspense of a mystery. I absolutely recommend this series!

Second chance romances are one of my favourite tropes to read and Morgan delivers the perfect one with Devilish Intent with some twists and turns that you will not see coming. Con and Grace's story will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and your heart stop beating at times.
Con's life is thrown into hell when the one person that shattered his heart years ago and he really has not healed from it, Grace. walks into his company. She looked somewhat scared and when she told him what was happening, Con, being the man he is, takes the job. Will he be able to put the hurt that she caused all those years ago behind him? When her life is in danger, will Con take matters into his own hands or leave it to the other men in the company? Can he keep his heart out of it or will it take over what his brain is telling him? When he gets a lead, how will he deal with the information?
Grace loved Con back when they were younger but things did not go as planned. She is back home and newly divorced but has a stalker leaving her pictures on her car. She does the one thing that she knows will be difficult and that is to ask Con Quentin for help in finding who is doing it and why. As time passes she gets more pictures but then she sees her life flash before her eyes she is more determined to find the person and why. Grace still has feelings for Con but will he ever be able to put the past behind him? When she almost loses her father, should this be escalating to her being in more danger? When the lines get blurred, can Con Grace rekindle what they had? When she is given news that hits too close to home, how will she react?

So glad to finally get Con's story!!
This was very angsty for a while and dealt with the miscommunication tropes kind of or the withholding information for a while trope. Which I usually don't like but the angst and everything built up to alot of steam between Con and Grace. There's a few moments of steam but again they took a bit to happen since the had issues with each other.
The bad guy for this one I should have seen coming but I didn't originally. It wasn't until something happened that I was like "ooooooh, alright I should've seen that coming in". Usually it seems pretty obvious but it wasn't until sometime in the last 1/4 of the book that it got revealed. The ending was a little quick though so i wish there had been a bit more build up to the final conflict.
Con was everything you expect of the strong silent type and opened up alot when Grace and him finally got to together. We actually got to see him interact more with the other QSG guys and that was cool to see. Especially since there was an update on everyone's lives. Grace was great and can't wait to see how she's gonna interact more with the other QSG girls. Held her own and was strong just like the others.
I'm also interest to see if Sienna and Sophie will get their own books and end up with someone else in the QSG world. Again loved this and want to see where else this world is gonna go.

I was so exited to read this story because we finally get Con's story and I always wonder what his back story was and like always Morgan James didn't disappoint bringing the perfect romantic suspense full of twist and turns.
Con never expected to see the one person who shattered his heart back in town but when Grace comes asking for his help old feelings surfaced and old memories come back to hunt him.
Grace's life hasn't been complete since he walked away from Con. She has so many regrets for her pass decisions and now years later after her divorce she is back in town trying to rebuilt her life only not everything is as plan and now her life is in danger by a stalker.
Con and Grace's story is bumpy ride, they tried to fight the attraction between them and old wounds are open. Truths are revealed and there is a mystery of who is really stalking Grace. Their love is in danger again and Con will do everything for the only woman he has ever love.
I really enjoyed reading this book and definitely recommend !!

Devilish Intent is the sixth book in the Quentin security series by Morgan James. This is my third Morgan James book to read, and they keep getting better and better. Devilish Intent is 274 pages of terrible lies, heartbreaking truths, anger, love, laughter, and tears. I am such a sucker for a second chance romance, and Grace and Con's is one of the best I've ever read.
When you know, you know. Conner knew from the beginning that Grace was the girl for him. Gracie's heart only belonged to Conner's, but sometimes life throws curveballs. The path that seemed so inevitable becomes a tangled mess of lies and heartbreak. Fifteen years later, Grace returns with truths to tell, fences to mend, and a possible stalker whose intent on upsetting her new life. Good thing Conner Quentin owns a security agency.
These books are so much fun to read. I can always count on a great love story, an exciting mystery, and characters that will linger in my heart for weeks after I put the book down. I don't know when MJ decided to become a writer but thank God she did because she's so good at it. Five stars for this book, five stars for this series, and five stars for this author. This is the sixth book in the series. They can be read as standalone books. I haven’t read any of the other books and I wasn’t lost at all. Connor and Grace were school sweethearts. They planned a life together. But then something happened and ruined everything. Now fourteen years later Grace has come back. Someone is stalking her and she hopes that Connor and his company will be able to help her. Connor can’t believe she is back. Seeing her brings everything back. He can’t turn her away but he can’t help her himself. The anger and hurt are still there but he doesn’t know everything. Grace hopes that eventually Connor will let her explain what really happened. Maybe just maybe they can have a second chance. Grace’s stalker is getting bolder and bolder. Will Connor and they guys be able to keep her safe? This was a fantastic second chance romance. I sucked it right away by this book. The character is this series and fantastic. I have put the other books in this series on my TBR list. Great job Morgan. This is the first book by Morgan I have read and I look forward to reading more by her.

Morgan James provided me with an ARC in return for an honest review. This is yet another 5 star hit for Morgan James. It introduced us to a couple of new characters and also had our favorites from prior books featured in the story. This book's main protagonist is Con. This story was great to read from beginning to end. Reminded me of the movies I saw as a child where we booed the bad men and cheered for the good. The end was a little surprising to me in that I did not forsee part of it coming but was appropriate and fit perfectly with the story. The men of Quentin Security are definitely some of my favorites and their ladies are all very interesting characters. This book made me laugh, cry, cheer, boo and I couldn't stop reading it. I had to keep on and know what happened next. If you like romantic suspense, with a little mystery, a lot of hot men and beautiful women, then this is a must read for you. Thank you again Morgan James for another 5 star read and for providing me with the ARC. All opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Morgan James is not only one of my very favorite authors but she truly a queen when it comes to romantic suspense. Don’t get me wrong all her books are truly amazing. I honestly cannot think of one that I have not loved .Devilish Content is the second book in her ( Quentin Security Series ) and is Con and Graces story .It’s raw , emotional, and utterly intriguing. I guarantee that once you start you will not be able to stop . I made the mistake of starting in the late evening and ended up reading into the early morning hours .but totally worth all the sleep I lost .If you are a fan of second chance romances , that are steamy , angsty. Suspenseful, emotionally charged . With many twists and turns and two awesome leads main characters that will grab onto all your emotions and pull at your heartstrings. Do not miss this phenomenal series

Connor & Grace!!! The story I have been most excited and nervous about. Connor is literally everything this man’s feeling run soul deep. There is way more to Grace then I ever thought possible the amount of love these two have for one another is unmatched to say the least. Their love is the kind of love that buries itself so deep in your soul there is no way to remove it once someone damages it. But let me tell you there is so much more to their story than what meets the eye. Just when I thought I figured some things out this author hit you with another doozy that let your heart in pieces. These two would do anything and everything for one another. I would have to say their story is by far my favorite of the series. They are fantastic!! Another amazing read!

This is the sixth book in this amazing series and is Connor and Grace’s journey. These two were high school sweethearts until Connor had his heart shattered. Now 15-years later Grace is back in her hometown and goes to Connor’s office needing help as she is the target of a stalker. The push and pull between these two is intense and the chemistry is undeniable. Can these two get a second chance at love? This is a well written story which has suspense, intrigue, danger, twists, emotions, mystery, communication, and love, which leads to a riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

If you have not read the Quentin Security Group series by Morgan James you are seriously missing out on something great in your life. This book about Connor and Grace is heartbreakingly beautiful. Young love torn apart in such a tragic way. Then almost 15 years later their paths cross again. But there is so much animosity, so much hurt. They way that Morgan weaves their story had me sitting on the edge of my seat. The suspense made me want to rush to see what was going to happen, but the incredible storytelling wouldn’t let me. It gripped me and I had to read every word. Seriously do yourself a favor and get this whole series!

As always I first have to say that I love Morgan James’ books. I received an arc of this book to review. Con and Grace’s story did not disappoint. They were in love as kids but circumstances tore them apart. They reconnected because of other circumstances and fell in love again, even though people were trying to keep them apart. There was one part that I wish had been addressed more, but beyond that, this was so good!
I’ve read some of the books in this series, now I just need to read the rest.

I’ve been super excited for Connor and Grace’s story. The woman who broke his heart, and also started his new path. I always wondered what really happened, and man is it a doozy. Grace comes to Quentin Security for help with a probable stalker, and doesn’t know what to do.
Connor is devastated, and drowning in the past. I loved watching their second chance unfold. So many untold trusts, misdirection, and then twisted over time history has happened to them. You’ll love reading this story. Their chemistry is super hot, and the intrigue is interesting. They definitely had a hard won HEA.

Omg this is another great book and its part of the Quentin series if u haven't read it u should and she is an amazing author I can't wait to read the next book who enjoyed as much as I did

This was emotional! The pain Con was in when his past came back. Love how the guy was the one hurt and had to deal with the heartache.
Grace also had heartache, but Con does not know the whole story, you will cry so better have tissues on hand.

This book was amazingly written like the other books in this series. All can be read as standalones but recommend reading all of them. Finally get Con’s story of why his heart is closed off. After 15 years Con and Grace’s paths meet again after a bad ending. When truths are learned, feelings are finally coming out. Very highly recommend reading this book/series.

Con and Grace's story is a great 2nd chance journey. Their past comes into play more than either of them would prefer. Though things with them ended on a sour note before, they find their way back to each other. Their journey is exciting and dramatic and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

FINALLY! Con’s story has been building since we find out he’s such a brooding personality. Once the story finally comes out though it became such a fun HEA! Grace and Con were so worth the wait! Five stars!

This story has a lot of action,thrills,danger,suspense and romance thrown in keeps you turning the pages until the very last page looking forward to reading more books from this author thrilling

OMG! I loved it!!
I loved the suspense!! The photographs left behind followed a chain of events that ultimately brought everything to a close.
Ok... what did Grace and Con have???
One more thing,how about audiobooks!

Another good Quentin Security read. This is a good 2nd chance romance with the suspense expected in this series. Good read.
