Sent to a Fantasy World and Now All the Men Want Me: Volume 2

Rate this book
Life in another world isn't so bad.
Evan has found true love, a group of knights who all like pestering him, a cat-boy best friend who loves cake, and even a job. Okay, so maybe there's still the demons in the dark forest to worry about... and the ultra-powerful demon lord. There also may be bandits sweeping through the surrounding lands, headed straight for the kingdom.
But that's okay.
Evan has his men, his coffee, and the best group of friends a guy could ever ask for. That is, until a stranger arrives in Bremloc, one who has his eyes set on Evan.
And life, once again, gets a little complicated.

**Confusing feelings/review alert**

Okay, but like... this book was cringey af and the romance is sooooooooo disgusting, and unrealistic?
I just can't see how you could be inlove with 3 men (soon to be 4-5) at the same time and those said men, have NOT AN OUNCE of jealousy?
Sure Maddox goes all "possessive mode" from time to time, but it's always fake news. 💅 he's a gushy GUSHY man inside. (gross)

My face the whole time reading this:

Side note: The word SWEETHEART 🤢🤢🤢🤢 I know it's meant to be tender, but holy hell, DISGOOSTINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

The love interests just "know that Evan owns them" or some airy fairy shit that doesn't make much sense, especially when it's not really mmmm yet, it's more like.....
mmm/m ??? because one guy is always getting him seperately?

(I'm not even a jealous person, and I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND HOW YOU'D BE OKAY WITH THIS??? And that one dude is half wolf/demi-human, and would have super sensitive hearing and Evan is his "mate", but he's okay with listening to his mate getting his ass DESTROYED just down the hallway??? hmmm no. no..)

This is one of those confusing reads where I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK but I can't stop?????
And I LOVE THEM and this crazy unrealistic cosy crap??
And I lowkey want them to be happy and keep railing each other??

I want these two extra men to come in and see how that works, because anatomically, I don't think the human body can take 5 dicks at the same time, I have never tried, and I'm no doctor, but I do doubt these logistics...🤭🤭🤭

I was a little bored with the whole "opening a cafe" plotline, cosy books are not my thing as I need plot and stuff and scenarios to keep me interested..
But there was some kind of action, story reveal towards the end of this book and I AM READY TO KNOW MORE. 🐀🐀🐀🐀

I love returning to Evan's magical world where his three suitors defend, protect, and shower him with all the love and affection possible. Having his knight, physician, and wolf at his beck and call is so much fun as each relationship deepens, progresses, and moves toward such a loving place that I loved seeing develop so naturally.

Another great aspect of this wonderfully fantastical story is the ever-expanding lore of this world. There is political intrigue, complicated histories, and many unanswered questions that leave me curious as to who the potential final suitor for Evan is. You meet his latest suitor and I thought he made quite an entrance while maintaining his air of mystery.

Overall I loved this entry and all the silly moments peppered throughout. Kuya and Sawyer are so dang sweet that I love every scene with both characters. I love how each relationship adds something unique and meaningful to Evan's harem. Their underlying motive is to protect their guy and Evan is so lucky to have so many willing suitors. I cannot wait for the next installment!!!

my brain is too scattered to write a review, but i do have a couple of things to say.

read this. well, start with volume 1 first, but damn read this series. think the title’s dumb? well, it’s actually a joke. what joke? read the book to find out.

but first, let me ask you a question. what’s better than a boyfriend?
5 boyfriends, correct.
(warning: this parentheses is the only serious part of this review. if anyone’s worried about this, relax. it’s done incredibly well and it couldn’t be better.)

this series is incredibly sweet, funny, spicy and clever.
you don’t need anything more from a book, so go read this.
i swear it’s a fun experience and i’m absolutely not going crazy because i feel like i completely overlooked a fundamental clue to understand how things are going to go. i promise i didn’t write two pages of notes with important stuff trying to solve it. i definitely wont reread these two books until i understand what’s going on. im behaving like a totally normal person, not a crazy obsessed one. it’s not like this is so good that it will haunt you when you’re not reading.

btw i solved everything in sons of the fallen while drunk, so i know what to do lmao.

also, why do i keep calling these jokes reviews?

I have been waiting for this book for SO LONG (7 days). Listen I know that’s not that bad, but every day hurted. After reading the first book and falling so hopelessly in love with it, having to wait any length of time was agony. I am NOT being dramatic. But rest assured, I didn’t die from my heartbreak of having to wait, and I got to jump into this book as soon as it downloaded on my kindle at midnight. And this author did not disappoint me. This book was so extremely good, and I actually might think that it was better than the first one. There was so much crazy stuff in this, but I’ll get to that in the minute. Let me tell you about the book first.

Btw you can’t read this book without reading the first one. It is impossible. You’ll be major confused. Read volume 1 first then come back to me. Love ya!

Okay here’s the juice.

We pick up on this book roughly 2 months after the first one ends. Evan is getting his cafe ready for his grand opening, and he’s just a little ball of anxiety. He’s nervous that nobody will come to his cafe, and the ones that will come, will hate his food. So yeah, our new business owner is a little nervy. Thank goodness he has so many people that love and care for him, and they do their best to calm him. These people include all the knights he’s friends with, Prince Sawyer, Kuya the cat-boy, and his very hot partners Maddox and Briar. Evan has so much love surrounding him. And in this book, he gains some more. We get to know his third love interest, Lake, as well as some new friends he makes. It was so fun.

The sex in the last book was great with 2 partners. Add in a third, and it’s just amazing. With Evan having three partners (as of right now), we get such a variety of sex scenes. Not a vanilla moment in sight. It’s all deliciously dirty. I’m going to explode once Evan reaches his 5 partners. I can’t imagine how much dirtier it can get.
(Remember this is a why choose romance).

We get introduced to Evan’s 4th love interest towards the end of the book. Nothing dirty happens with them yet, Evan basically just tells the reader that he’s the next one, but I am so excited for that man. He was very hot. Very very hot.

This book has a lot more surprises in it than the last one. It’s also mostly toward the end, but it was so wack. The ending was also cliffhanger-ish. I still have yet to figure out what’s going on, and I haven’t had a decent night’s sleep since. When I first finished the book, Martina and I were texting at like 2:45 am (that was my time) and we were like what!!!! is!!!! happening!!!! I’m hoping the next book will shed some light because I need to know thank you!!

PLEASE read this book. It’s so sweet and so funny and so sexy and so cute and so magical and GAH. I’m so in love with this series and so very thankful Evan was sent to the fantasy world.

P.S. if you happen to figure out what’s going on at the end, for the love of god send me a direct message. Kisses!

Still not crazy about the title of this series, but it didn’t stop me from loving this book. Such an amazing array of characters throughout, with some suspense/action and plenty of love between the MCs. Can’t wait for volume 3!

I wished Evan spend more time with his man before he recognized them as one of the man from the prophecy, I need the tension first before the romance but it all happens too quickly for each man, I Need the relationship builds into something more satisfying when they finally get together.
Also I'm not sure on how I feel about Lupin revealing about Evan actually comes from this world, he was not a commoner it literally erased the relatability of Him as the main character and the concept of isekai, Evan turns out to be someone Special after all.
I still need more time with lake, because I barely find the chemistry with him and Evan.

Second read through in audio: oh Evan! I love him and his men so much! I loved listening to the audio to be back in his world again! I cannot wait for book 3! Highly recommend this series!

So happy to be back with Evan and his men! This is the second book in this amazing all male reverse harem (that must be read in order) and it was just as good as the first one. Evan was his amazing, clumsy, hilarious, lovable self. He has all his men wrapped around his little finger and his happiness is everything to them. I love the devotion that they show to him.

Maddox and Briar are amazing and so good (eventually) about adding Lake to the mix. In this one I have a really hard picking my favourite member of the harem as they are all so amazing and love Evan so much. Maddox is so protective of him. Briar is so loving. And Lake is so quiet. I love that Evan takes care of them in his own way with his cooking.

In this one we meet who I’m fairly positive will be the fourth member of the Harem. He is super intriguing to me and I absolutely cannot wait to find out more about him in the next book. I also have some theories on a potential number five and am so excited to see where Evan’s story goes next.

I have no idea when the next book will be out but I will be counting down the days as soon as I find out. Also excited to read some other books by this author as well.

Fun fact: there are 124 mentions of muffins, 60 mentions of cookies, and 64 mentions of coffee in this book, so you can probably guess the main plot of this book 😄

I really enjoy the Bremloc world, and while I could probably point out a few flaws if I tried, for once, I am just going with the overall feeling of enjoyment in my review and rating.

Crossed the line into too much fluffy, sugary grossness for me. The bakery plot line didn’t keep my interest and the smut was just not smutting. The relationship between all the characters is not working for me, I need a less cosy and more tension, even in a light book like this. Kuya the cat-man was still my fave character. Going to end this series here before more dicks are added to the pot.

Maddox, Brair...AND LAKE

I think I may be one of Evan's boyfriends because I am very invested in this series now?? He has me wrapped around my finger. Love you Muffin Lord!

Pleasantly surprised we are getting a legit plot outside of falling in love. The little cafe is so cute, I'm obsessed with Sawyer and Kuya, I would read a book just about them! I'm hoping we get more Lake in the next book, he's a precious baby girl.

These men love each other so much it has me SICK. Their PET NAMES? How does this man have THREE (at the moment) boyfriends and AMAZING COMMUNICATION? Talk about sexy! 🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀

Outside of the mushy gushy main characters, I'm really vibing with the supporting cast. All the knights have such fun banter and the bakery staff being found family is so sweet. (heh a pun)

The plot twist at the end got me too. Let's see what happens to this little Muffin next.

More cosy goodness from Evan and his men. Opening a café was one of Evan's dreams and it has become a reality. Everyone loves him and he now belongs with his found family. But there are dark forces at play threatening his new home. And more boyfies to add to his sweet harem. My heart felt so much for sweet soft Lake. And, my dudes, there's nothing hotter than a rogue with shadow magic... Evan is learning more about his family and some secrets have come to light.
I need November to arrive NOW.
Another buddy read in which Cedes just waits for me to catch up.

"Hair like gold and eyes like emeralds . . . You may not be a prince, but you're far from a nobody, little treasure."

what i love so much about this second volume is that it had all the same qualities as the first-- it was just as silly & ridiculous & fun, while also punching you in the heart at times because evan's voice just had that effect; it all felt the same, and gave me so much comfort that i've found to be a familiar feeling with most of all this author's works that i've read. yeah there were some lines that felt more awkward in its attempts at humor than most & i felt just a tad disconnected from the story around the first quarter of it, yes to both of those.

and yet..... i ended up loving this sequel so much more.

kuya has always had my heart, and lake's character caught my eye from the moment we first meet him in volume one so character-wise, this ensemble cast are picture-perfect. some of the new characters, like miles & rowan, make the story shine even more and i'm very excited to see more of the latter since he was the one behind that quote i inserted above, sharing these words to evan himself. his character adds more chaos & adventure that made the plot feel even bigger than i expected in a story that's majorly something for comfort's sake, and it was all so utterly charming.

i have much more words to say about my feelings for this volume, it really surprised me in a way i'm grateful for so i'm hopeful once my sleepiness is absolved, i can share just how much.

also like....i feel incredibly relieved that i ended up loving this sequel a lot because the cover itself is an absolute beauty so i find it really promising in showcasing how much potential this story has, it's very sweet.

Trash, absolute trash. I sometimes love trash, but this is an exception.

There is no main character more idiotic or helpless than Evan. His whole personality is being clumsy and baking muffins.

Being clumsy, to a fault, is not cute; you're just an idiot. Watch where you're walking. It's not funny, it's embarrassing.

I've never left a review like this. I've never hated an MC like this. I feel personally offended by this author and this story. Evan is basically a useless female MC. She's utterly incompetent and boring AF. It's all the reasons I abandoned hetero romance books.

I only finished this book out of hate. Never again.

These books are so much fun and I can’t wait for the next one. I loved meeting the fourth love interest, Rowan. I hope we don’t get a repeat with Maddox and Lake when Rowan joins cause I think that would just be really repetitive. I’m also praying that she doesn’t make the fifth love interest Onyx and that’s how the war between the kingdom and the demons ends because that just seems so predictable and boring but I guess we’ll see. Sawyer and Kuya better get a happy ending and Cedric better die or turn out to not be related to the crown or something so Sawyer can take over. The mystery of Evan’s parents is super interesting and I wonder if Evan’s dad was who the king thought he was. Evan, Briar and Maddox’s relationship developed nicely and Lake folded into the mix really well. Overall I really enjoyed the book and I can’t wait for the next one.

I love cheesy romance, I love smut, I love a dumb as hell main character. However, this book somehow has all three without being the least big enjoyable. Every word spoken by the main character is a level of cringe that should be studied by scientists. I saw every plot twist coming an agonizing number of pages before the main character put any of it together. All of MC’s love interests are hot, capable, highly skilled men who are somehow besotted with (and sharing?) a guy who refers to himself as “muffin lord”. If this is supposed to be satire on the genre then I did not get it. I feel insane, I hated this, will not be continuing the series.

Enjoyed it just as much second time around. The audio was great

I knew it!

Okay, it hasn't been explicitly said but it's clear why Evan is so at home in Bremloc and honestly, I think Prince Cedric knows or suspects. It's why he attacks Evan so much.
Men total now to 4. Although 4 is going to be interesting. I'm still convinced who 5 is.
I love this world and all of the characters. I adore the found family aspect and the growing bond between Briar and Maddox

4.5 stars rounded up from me. Looks as though we might have found another possible 'harem' member in this instalment, but love how the current quartet look out for each other and are falling ever more in love with one another. Evan's personal life continues to flourish as does his coffee shop and reputation as a baker and all-round nice guy; he accepts everyone as they are and will not stand for any bigotry or ignorance.

Kidnappings and political intrigue aside, Lupin keeps appearing like the proverbial bad penny and finally gives Evan some information on his background which seems to tie in with the fact that quite a few people including the King himself, and the Demon Lord too, say he reminds them of someone.

Still loving the found family type situation Evan finds himself in with nearly everyone he meets, but most especially the knights, and of course, I still think Prince Dickhead must be in cahoots with the kingdom of Haran, they're apparently behind all of the recent trouble. What a condescending snob he is, and such a complete and utter pillock.

Another great installment about Evan and his men and the world of Bremloc. The beginning is pretty much Evan living his dream and loving on his men. And even though I enjoyed it, it wasn’t until after the 50% mark that I was really into the story. I wish we could have gotten more development with Lake, but it’s slowly happening.

I know we are all probably clued into what the “secret” is for Evan’s parentage, but I’m ready for that reveal to happen. I also like Rowan and can’t wait to see how he shakes things up. The fifth love interest will be most intriguing for me I think and I’m looking forward to see how that plays out.

Honestly, as much as I love Evan and his men I am sooooo invested in Sawyer and Kuya. Like, I need them happy and together forever. So please, please, please find a way to make that happen.

Anyway! Kinda mad at myself because now I have to wait until November for more, but I’m hoping it makes me miss them.

1 thing every reader of this text walks away knowing is that the MC is just a TINY nerd who loves COFFEE and SWEETS and is so CLUMSY. 🤪

The tropes are troping, and not in a fun familiar way, in a lazy repetitive way. The MC’s POV went from earnest and awkward in the first book to beyond cringe in the second.

I am a little bit curious about how some plot points will turn out. But ultimately I don’t think I’ll finish this series, at least not any time soon.

This book showed me the harem genre is not for me, I didn’t think it was, but I thought perhaps I could still get a good laugh and enjoy the fantasy adventure. I was wrong, and that’s okay.

If I loved the first book, I absolutely adored the second. Just as referenced multiple times, the story is inspired by the Isekai-harem genre, just done so, so much better.

Trust me, I'm fluent in anime and poly relationships. And I'm telling you, this series is more than a gem, it's paradise itself.

4.25/5. Little wonkier here and there, little more repetition, but I’m still living for it and loving it as I do. This is just pure, unadulterated joy. It’s fun and it’s sweet and it’s spicy and it’s fucking GOOD. So, it’s a book of joy. And I love to enjoy whatever joy I can find. Onward to the next one!
