Key To It All

A Betsy Butters Book

When American teen detective Betsy Butters has only weeks remaining in her Swiss boarding school, Château Mont Blanc, she is more concerned with recovering art and other valuables stolen by the Nazis in WWII than in studying for final exams.

Quite by accident, Betsy witnesses something off campus that is the catalyst for her quest to discover the truth about what is going on within her school.

Inspector Bernard of the Swiss Federal Police is alerted to her concerns, and she enlists a school mate and off campus acquaintances to help find explanations for her nagging questions.

While Betsy concentrates on her personal detecting, professional investigations are underway in several countries and threaten to expose criminal activities involving the person that Betsy is investigating.

As the final days of school approach, the threats to Betsy intensify, and she realizes that she might have more than one adversary. Encouraged by this sign that she is onto something really important, Betsy risks everything to expose the truth before she leaves Switzerland.

What she discovers shocks and amazes everyone.

As a teenager in boarding schools in Switzerland and the U.S., Jenifer Rubloff learned from the people she met and the friends she made about different cultures, customs, religions, and cuisines. When she sat in her school study halls, on many nights, she’d play “what if” with her imagination about what could happen in her school with only a small tweak to reality. As an author of fiction, Rubloff twists reality to share her experiences and fascination with how people and events can be interconnected.

Jennifer Rubloff's Betsy Butters Series is the perfect gift for any girl who has ever dreamed of being either Harriet the Spy, Jane Blonde or the most popular at the moment EJ12 - Growing up I loved reading the books where the girls were spies and solved all the crimes that the adults couldn't figure out. We readers, relished in their many adventures and dangers. Jennifer Rubloff has re-captured those many moments with her Betsy Butters series which follows now 14yr old Betsy Butters through her knack for spying and solving crimes as well as her ability to juggle school. In Key to It all , Betsy along with her best friend Nancy are sent to Geneva to take some exams needed for them to continue at their Nestle Chocolate smelling boarding school . Whilst there the girls witness some dodginess happening and it involves their school caretaker Robert. Soon the girls will find themselves embroiled in a case of stolen WW2 artifacts and expensive paintings. Can the girls find themselves out of this case alive and in one piece as to quote Betsy "Being Abducted once is enough to last her a lifetime".
