Menage for Mankind #1

Married to the Trillionaires

Rate this book
One hundred years after the decision to outlaw childbirth and move to a more humane form of procreation, the earth has very few females left. Most of those are unable to become pregnant, due to a faulty system. Trillionaires Bill, John, David and Steve band together and bid on an auction for one of the few “breeding females” left. They plan it out as coldly as they would any other kind of business deal, knowing that down the road, they will eventually sell off any daughters born of the union.

April, a young woman sheltered from the outside world, is told by her father that he needs money and will be selling her at an auction to the highest bidder. He does his best to protect her in the auction, but she has no choice in the matter. April goes into the situation with a positive attitude, not expecting to fall for the men so quickly. When she finds out her plans for the future of her children, she must decide if her love of the men is stronger than the love of any children she may bear.

Lads, this time I met my match...I really did. Sometimes, if you're me and thus an idiot, you decide to read something that looks legitimately awful because it has a hilarious cover. And I really, really need to write this down because I wept literal tears reading it. I howled with laughter, I sobbed from mortification, I cowered in fear; I felt every emotion possible.

This is the worst book I've ever read. Hands down. No contenders. But it is also amazing.

The plot is very simple: a 21-year-old woman, after getting a degree in Creative Writing or whatever, reconnects with her dad only to be told that he's selling her in an auction. Why would he do this, you might ask? Not because they are in dire straights or starving to death or being forced to by some apocalyptic, fascist government; but apparently because he's remarrying and his new wife wants more money to get nicer things.

That's it. That's the reason.

At first, this woman, April, is upset upon hearing this; resulting in one of my favourite lines ever in literature: She jumped up from the table and ran into the woods, where she felt safe. Wow. Abrumpt, succinct, character-building poetry. Katniss Everdeen who?

But then she reconsiders: Her father had given so much to her over the years. Did she really have a right to balk at what he was asking her? Hmmm. Do you have the right to balk at being sold as a sex slave because your parent gave you a completely mediocre upbringing? Idk, vote down below.

Anyway, our plucky heroine pulls herself together and goes back in and tells her dad (this is a real goddamn quote), "I'll do it, and I'll do it with a good attitude. I want you to have the best life you can have, Daddy. If that means marrying Jane and selling me to a group of strangers, I can deal with that." Yes! Exactly, April! I concur, a good attitude can fix any situation, even when you're being sold into literal slavery.

She gets sold to a group of four friends who all happen to be hot who also all happen to be trillionaires. Their names are all so white and bland I honestly kept forgetting which one was which; Bill? Steve? ...John? Was one of them named Michael? Not that it matters—like Ken dolls, they were all the same, just with different hair colours.

Oh, except, one of them (Steve?) is black. Did this young black man have any qualms about bidding on a human person in an auction? Silly question—no, and it is never brought up, stop asking. Steve (?) also happened to be the most violent and emotionally distant of the men. We love harmful stereotypes!! (There is also a scene that I literally wrote down because I was shaking from overwhelming emotion when April looks at Steve's dick and says, "It's even brown down there," and he says, "I'm brown all over, baby." I'M LOSGING MY MIND AHAHAFH GIRL WHAT COLOUR DID YOU THINGK)

So anyway these four guys buy April for five trillion dollars and like, immediately assault her and consent is thrown out the window and we're off to the races!! There's a lot of She couldn't take them all on her first night. Could she? and Holy crap! There was no way he was going to shove his cock in her butt! (these are both exact quotes) and the repeated use of the word man-part which I swear, I have never read anywhere else, and never want to read again—m a n - p a r t.

Maybe you're thinking, Wait, did you just say five trillion dollars? That is a lot, holy shit, why did they pay so much? Okay, yeah, so here's what I've been saving for the end. The créme de la créme.

This book is set three hundred years in the future. Yeah! And apparently, there are a) next to no women left who are below the age of 60 and b) literally no women at all who are able to bear children. So mankind just collectively shrugged and said, "We'll just be gay!" (because yes. Sexuality works this way. Shhh.) But not our trillionaire boys. Nah, they said, we're gonna throw 5 trillion dollars so we can collectively share one of the last women capable of giving birth on this Earth of ours. And we'll get our money back ten-fold by selling all our daughters once they're born!

Okay, so, that's that. But the best part for me was definitely the fact that, because this book is set in ~the future~, sometimes there were random details thrown in like this was Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century. For example, apparently everyone wears jumpsuits all the time; there are tubes you stand in to dry off after taking a bath; the cars fly!! None of this has anything to do with the plot, but I love it. I hope one of the guys' last names is secretly Jetson.

That was super-duper long but I needed to justify reading this by cataloguing my experience. I conclude with the most inspirational quote of our time:

"All you have to do is lay back and enjoy while it fucks the bejeebers out of your twat."

Goodnight!!

This is probably the most ridiculous book I have read in a long time. Apparently in this world inflation is beyond ridiculous, millionaires are barely scraping by and all woman are old and unable to produce children. Of course aren't they lucky some "religious" groups decide to keep having children the old fashioned way and they have fertile women. Also lucky these "religious" people are willing to sell their daughters to the highest bidder(s). The dad in this book is so concerned for his daughter he limits her buyers to 4, wouldn't want to overwhelm her now would we! And April the daughter is so meek and mild that she just goes along with Dads plan, I mean how else can he support her future stepmother? The 4 generous friends share her so well, and the stupid girl has 4 hours of sex per day (or more) starting on her wedding night! Yup all Virgins look forward to that!

For me, this is a book written for profit, without love or care - not for the reader or the characters. I deserve better and so do they. The Hs were a product of their society, but the h was a sweet young girl, and their treatment of her was disgraceful. They had not concept of her as a person, she was just a commodity for them. The bedroom scenes were not at all steamy, just sad and sick. And I like steamy scenes that push boundaries - but as a reader, it made me angry. No, no, just no.

Personally, it's a 'meh' read. The blurb alone made me 'one click' the book because it sounds promising. I was wrong.
*SPOILER*
For the first 10% of the book we learn about:
A: The 4 heroes - we are told how good looking and rich they are. Very generic heroes and we read their kind all the time. We met them at a time that defines the real bond between the four of them - money - or business. I still like them though, they are men/characters I can easily see and their action is believable with regards to the created world they are in.
and B: the Heroine - we met her within the hour that she just finished the last and final exam on her academic education and is looking forward to her idea of a good future. We learned that she is raised in a very close and sheltered community. That at 21 or 23 she's a virgin and never been kissed. Then her sole parent told her that they've been financially suffering almost all her life and that he is auctioning her to pay their debts so he could get marry again. I was glad she was upset but then within the next hour she decided 'go through it in order to give her dad a good life'. I don't know exactly but something in that phrase/reasoning does not set well with me.
Then for the next 20-95% of the book we watch the h do a marathon sex with 4 men within the next 4 hours after losing her virginity. Like I said, the way she was used at a time where her physical body should be protesting was my big issue with this book. Also the supposedly innocent and sheltered h started using f word and pussy all on her own is just jarring. Jarring, not because I am censuring the use but because it's way out of character - SHELTERED upbringing, hello?!. Other than that, this part of the book dedicates itself to its genre to the T.
The last 5% of the book was a good - yet predictable - end for the book because it addressed the relationship of the h and the Hs in a satisfactory manner. Glad the h finally found her backbone.
Note: The epilogue is a cliffhanger for the next book, nothing to do with the characters on this book.

The menage has good sex scenes. Tho the progression of the storyline is a bit quick. I mean, she's a virgin from a religious group who was raised with high morals & her Dad just Sold her to the highest bidder!! She is pretty much fine with everything from the beginning. So that always gets me upset, when I think they should be saying No really Loud!

Then I remember that it is a FANTASY!! And then I am okay. I mean she's having a good time. Right? :-) Good time is had by all!!

Since I skipped through a good portion of this book and I think with valid reason I can't honestly say I read 100% of this book so there for I won’t claim that I have and I can honestly say I am glad it was a freebie. Seriously, what was this author thinking?

Ok, so four men want sex and a wife, ok, then go out a WOO one don't buy her like some piece of meat. Oh, and it gets better they can recoup their money if they sell their daughters. If I had been April and found that out, they would have been castrated by the next morning. And let’s not forget the father who put her on the auction block just so he can support his future wife in the lap of luxury, really? How is any of that OK?

Today we have woman being kidnapped and/or sold into slavery and prostitution and then someone goes and writes a futuristic book where auctioning off women is okay, wow the author brought a whole new meaning to the words "Sugar Coating" with this sick ass bull shit story.

This book is one I will gladly give back to Amazon.

There are no longer any women of reproductive age in the world except for a small backwoods population that sticks to the old way of living off the land. One of those girls has just completed college and her father decides that he wants to remarry but his new wife requires lots of money to be happy so to solve his dilemma, he decides to sell his daughter to 4 trillionaires.

The scenes were hot but unfortunately very unbelievable. Within the first day of the guys buying her, they all have sex with her. If it were my first time and I had no knowledge of sex, let alone with 4 men, I'd be utterly terrified. And then they all take her in one night. Um...she was a virgin. After the first day, she's hooked on sex. Who gets hooked on sex after 1 day??

So, while the story was hot, it was unbelievable.

In the new world, it is hard for a woman to get pregnant and have children. Most women, which are few, are old and unable to have any more children. Then four trillionaires purchase a woman barely out of school to share between them. That is it. That is all there is to this novella. It is what it is..

If this is the future all females should kill themselves. The world is dying anyway, so why suffer through sexual slavery, potential abuse and watch your children being sold. Not to mention not having friends and being unable to leave your house. No hot sex can make up for this, it's a depressing read.

4 mouth watering hunks. wouldn't you want some of that?

I can imagine having two men love me at the same time but to have four seam like sensory overload. It is an amazing fancy though and it may be just what it right for someone else so I'm not knocking it. All I can say is, if it floats your boat, go for it or just enjoy the mouth watering hunks in this story.

Married to the Trillionaires

This was an interesting and uniquely written book. I recommend anyone with an open mind a love of slightly erotic but definitely hot sex scenes. A HEA with drama.

It's just sex. They never do anything with her except have sex. The only one who treats her slightly decent is bill and she claims to fall in love with them. Makes no sense.

Do not recommend.

Married to the Trilllionaires (Menage for Mankind #1) by Ella Mansfield
D-, inferno, mild kink, menage, futuristic, 95 pages

In the future...April has been raised in a "religious" community, where things have continued much as they are today. Namely, women are giving birth to babies. Outside of these isolated religious communites, women are done with the pain of child birth. Eggs are painlessly harvested and fertilized. Unfortunately, no one realized that more boys would be born than girls and that the girls would be born frail and weak and worst of all-*gasp*-sterile. So it turns out that the girls from the religious communities are in high demand. And that their parents are greedy enough to auction the girls off to the highest bidders (yes, that's right, bidders-plural). After all, who else is going to repopulate the earth?

April's father is looking to get remarried and has decided that the best way to get the money he needs for his new life is to auction April off. Although he is kind enough to set some restrictions. She can only be sold to a group of four or less men (bless his heart, five men just might have been too overwhelming for the little virgin) and that she must actually be married to one of them.

Bill, John, David, and Steve decide to pool their money together so they can purchase April. Then they set up a very formal business arrangement, contract and all.

This was a short quick read that I didn't think I would like, because I don't read a lot of sifi. Trillionaires Bill, John, David and Steve band together and bid on an auction for one of the few “breeding females” left. They plan it out as coldly as they would any other kind of business deal, knowing that down the road, they will eventually sell off any daughters born of the union. He does his best to protect her in the auction, but she has no choice in the matter. April goes into the situation with a positive attitude, not expecting to fall for the men so quickly. When she finds out her plans for the future of her children, she must decide if her love of the men is stronger than the love of any children she may bear. This was a good story in the first book of a new series to me the sex was hot as hell and although the men really did treat her like a sex object they really come to care and love her. I would have liked a little more back story on each of the character's in this story and although this book was set in the future it was not over done and I was glad of that. April was a little to naïve for me I felt that she should have asked questions at least and I am glad that she left when she realized that they had planned to sell her daughter's. I am glad that this story had a happy ending and I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

A short very hot ménage book. Must be read with caution, as this is nothing compared to what our live is today here on earth. This story takes place in year 2310 so they are way ahead if us. Here many are trillionaires instead of billionaires, there are very few women and most of them are sterile. So breeding females are a rare commodity. Most of the population apparently wears jumpsuits, there are flying cars, a dry area after you have showered which will leave you dry in just 3 seconds.

The story in this book, well there is not much story too it, but the sex it hot even though it's just regular sex scenes. It seems that the men only cares about sticking it into her and coming up with excuses for spanking her a little and nothing else. But I did enjoy reading the book a lot and will be reading the next book.

Hot and steamy sci-fi tale, a great premise that could have benefited from more character development. The central 'virginal' character starts off very 'wet' an not in a naughty way. She simply accepts the fact she's being suddenly sold off to four strangers despite not being informed about it before.
Sex scenes are good, but taking four guys in a row as a virgin would probably make you more than a little 'sore'. The book gets better as it continues, as she develops more of a backbone, but the ease with which she turns from a virginal shy person to a raging nymphomanic needed sex every couple of hours is difficult to believe.
All in all, a fun read. Good, frequent, steamy scenes, but light on character believability and development.

My problems with this book didn't come from the unbelievable premise (that I knew before starting to read it), but that 10% into this book I wanted to puke.
So let me get this straight... A man sells her daughter so his new wife can have all she wants and we are suppose to what... understand that? And a college graduate accepts that so her father can be happy with this new woman?
Probably this could be a pillow book for all those communities who still see women as cattle. Disturbing! This was suppose to be a fantasy reading and instead let me with a sour taste.

Interesting short read in the future when there they had done away with natural childbirth and instead used egg and sperm to grow babies in the pod. Unfortunately it looks like the girls grown in the pods no longer had eggs to harvest. There are four trillionares that get together and buy a woman who was born naturally and has can give birth (because her family was part of a 'religous sect' that believed in nature).

This book was different for me but I liked the story line. The story did drag alone and I became bored for a while. The book wasn’t spicy enough; I would have liked more with four men anyway. Will I read more from this author? I might try one more to see if it gets better. If not I will have to find something from someone else.

A good story

This book was a good story of a woman auctioned to 4 men in a futuristic world where women are virtually non-existent and most are infertile. I enjoyed the premise but most of the story was just sex and more sex. I felt bad for April as she was literally just used and then suddenly all the men claimed to love her.

April is sold off as a breeder by her father so he can support his new wife in a grand style. April meekly goes along with it. The four trillionaires also plan on selling off any girls from their union as breeder's. They jump on the virgin immediately after purchasing April. I skipped through some of the book. I'm glad I got the book for free.

This was a good quick read. I was happy to see the boys grow to care about her more than just a "breeder"/sex slave. I would really like to read the remainder of the books in this series but will wait until the price changes as I'm reluctant to spend $3 on an e-book that is way less than 100 pages.

Okay read

This book was alright. The storyline was interesting enough with the last woman on earth type feel to it. I wasn't a huge fan of how the men seemed so selfish. You would think they would rather cherish the woman they all wanted verses railing her like a five dollar hooker.
