Soul Mates 101 #2

Brett and Hannah

Rate this book
In book two of the Soul Mates 101 series, Hannah Ray Mason is the daughter of country music legend, Lorna Ray Mason. After finishing her freshman year of college, she’s looking forward to a fun summer relaxing around her pool with her friends. What she doesn’t expect is to fall for her hot landscaper, Brett Adams, who just finished his junior year at the same university.

Tired of his no-strings-attached dating with much older women, he’s ready to find his first girlfriend, but Brett has dating rules he refuses to break. Finding himself in Hannah’s path, he repeatedly protects her from trouble while denying her what she wants most, his love.

After a series of events, their friends are brought together by friendship and romance. The strong bonds forged among the group are tested by love, jealousy and tragedy. Happiness may come too late for Brett and Hannah when a twisted mind wants his hands on her, and Brett soon learns that accepting someone’s love isn’t a guarantee you get to hold on to it.

A scene in this novel may be triggering for victims of physical assault. Brett and Hannah is for mature audiences due to descriptive sex scenes and harsh language.

Brett and Hannah 1st and 2nd Editions (Soul Mates 101 #2)by Scarlet Wolfe

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 2nd edition of this book and the second in the series but the first and second books are not related and can be read as standalone novels.

Hannah Ray Mason has lived a charmed life and lived most of her young life in the spotlight of her Mother, a country singer superstar. Home for the summer before returning to college, she plans to spend the summer with her friends lounging around the pool until she sees him.

Brett attends college, but during the summer he works for a landscaping company. This summer though, he is given a high profile client and is to work on the yard of Hannah's famous Mother. Hannah will prove to be a heavy distraction in his job and his personal life.

At first glance Hannah comes off as a pretty rich girl, that parties a bit too much and needs to be rescued frequently. Luckily, Brett happens to be around every time Hannah needs help. Brett spends a good amount of time pushing Hannah away because of her social status and her age, and ultimately gives up and gives into Hannah. Their relationship isn't without drama though and honestly I welcomed it, because just a love story is boring, you needed something out of the norm to grab your attention and the author delivered. There is no cliffhanger, but the next book will follow another character from this book! This was an easy and enjoyable read geared towards anyone 18 and over due to sexual content and some violence.

I would like to thank the author for the opportunity to read and review her book, I am never disappointed in Scarlet's writing, if you haven't read any of her books, now is your chance!

This is the 2nd edition of of the book . Brett moved To go to Vanderbilt and he meets Hannah. Hannah is the daughter of a Super star country star. He keeps trying to push Hannah away but what Brett doesn't realize is their chemistry and their developing bond is stronger then any force he is use too.
Hannah was in lust the first time she seen Brett working on her landscape at her parents house. She continues to peruse him but He continues to push her as far away as possible. This book was awesome the way Brett was fighting the chemistry that was so obvious to everyone but him. But Then Brett gets smart. And Wow this book has amazing Suspense, So much drama, And even sizzling steamy scenes that kept you interested and hoping for the best out come.
I Think the first book in this series is still my favorite. But Brett's charming personality was totally hard to resist. Which made you want to read his story. I loved Hannah's quirkiness too!! I Have always been a big lover of Any Soul-Mate series. And the first 2 books definitely delivered.

Have you ever wanted to be with someone but there are so many obstacles in your way that it makes you question your decision? That is where Brett is in this story. Brett is a landscaper hired to work the backyard of a famous country singer. Little does he know that he is about to meet the girl that will change his world. Hannah is younger than most of the girls that Brett dates. Worried about the lifestyle Hannah leads as the daughter of a country legend, the fame and the age difference Brett tries to resist at first but can’t stay away from her. Hannah knows that she and Brett are meant to be together. This was a cute and charming romantic story with a startling twist near the end. I enjoyed this book and not only the main characters but the interaction of all the other people that made up this story. This was a great addition to the series and I can’t wait to see whose story is told next.

I loved reading the little snippets about Brett in A Week For Love To Bloom and i'm really pleased that he got his own story. Brett is now landscaping for the summer for the Masons and he lives with his friends. He has only ever been attracted to older women and doesn't do relationships but he doesn't expect to feel a strong attraction to the Mason's daughter, Hannah. She's nineteen and is everything he doesn't go for. At the start, he has a big issue with her age and tries to stay away from her but there are a lot of situations that occur that bring them together. Brett can't resist her and they both give in to their attraction. It's obviously no smooth sailing as Hannah's parents are famous and extremely wealthy and that causes problems as well as some situations that push Brett and Hannah to the limit. I don't want to give too much away but it kept me gripped and i absolutely loved where this book went. I loved both characters and their story was explosive in places. The Soulmates 101 #3 is based around Dylan and Taylor, Hannah and Brett's close friends and you get to see snippets of their story coming together in this book. It gives you a thirst for the next book which i will be reading straight away! Awesome story and loving this series!

Brett and Hannah's love for each other was undeniable and although they were tested they found their way back to each other's arms. This was a great 2nd novel to the first. I really loved getting to know Brett after reading Lauren & Justin's story. I can't wait to read about Dylan & Taylor in book 3! Well done Scarlet Wolfe!! It's official, I'm hooked on this series!

OMG THE DRAMA!

Dear Lord in Heaven. How did I make it through this book? Poor, hard working, devilishly handsome yet certifiable Brett falls for rich, spoiled, famous and ridiculous drama queen Hannah. He is her knight in shining armour, but then decides he can't be with her. But then he changes his mind and wants to. But then she doesn't want to get hurt again. But then she changes her mind and wants him. But now he doesn't want her and pushes her away. But then he does want her... do you see where this is going? And that's not even the first half of the book!

OMG THE DRAMA! (Is it ok if I repeat that in frequent intervals?)

Once again, the characters fall for each other faster than the speed of light. Once again, they oh-so-conveniently keep finding themselves in the exact same places. As if Nashville is some sort of trailer city with just ONE club/open bar/party at a time. And once again, we have competitors, best friends who hook up with best friends and fill in the blanks (and basically push the plot forward) - even Jim, the twist that binds everything together (though of course, ripping our heroes apart first) is Hanna's father's best friend.

Yes I know you think there is more to the plot than what I have said, but really, there isn't. Frankly I had a lot more fun reading about their friends' interactions (because, you know, they aren't STUPIDLY CHILDISH!) but I can't bring myself to write anything more than that. It isn't worth it. This book was 304 pages of pure, blood-boiling, Class-A drama. Every second page, there was an outrage, a misunderstanding, someone changed their mind, someone snapped, someone tried to make someone else jealous, someone got stubborn... What a fucking infuriating read! Matt was right, things are bat shit crazy indeed!

OMG THE DRAMA!

I have no idea how I stuck through this book. It felt like it was written like an essay for school, and surely every single character felt like they were still going to school. I feel such fear and trepidation to even think I was even half as annoying and dramatic as these kids. And since this is the 2nd part of the Soul Mates series, I can't but note the similarities with book 1, most important of which is... it is the guy that ALWAYS has to take the blame and apologize, even when the girl screws up big time.

OMG THE DRAMA!

What fracking twisted complex does the author Ms. Wolfe have to believe that is reasonable or, worse, healthy? What kind of example is she setting for the younger female readers?! "Hey girls, even if you are the one who absolutely royally are to blame, if HE doesn't come chasing you, he isn't worth it"?! And then they wonder why the rest of the world sees American teens as bitches, bimbos and bat-shit crazy!

OMG THE DRAMA!

This was okay - reads more like a short story chic lit trash book, but it was enjoyable enough. I wouldn't recommend this though as I was skipping pages at the end even during all the dramatic events. Probably because the lovers fell in love too quickly and I found myself bored with the remaining story and was not surprised with the "mystery"
