Leslie is a busy, professional woman. When she decides to outsource the lovemaking part of her marriage, both she and her husband get more than they bargained for.
After reading "The Last Fembot," I was excited to pick up another piece by KT McColl, hoping it would be just as entertaining. I wasn't disappointed!
Rick and Leslie are a married couple whom I found a little difficult to like in the beginning. Leslie is a workaholic, more than a bit rigid, and quite possibly asexual...or so it seems. And Rick? Well, he's a bit of a putz. Their sex life is in the tank; Leslie loves her husband but just has no physical desire for him. She commences to become proactive in preventing dishonesty should Rick decide to stray, so she hires a service to see to her husband's physical needs, if not some of his emotional needs as well. The dreamy girl from the service takes matters, and Rick, into her own hands, showing the needy husband a few new tricks. However, Leslie doesn't get what she bargained for. While she had hoped for a reprieve from a sex life, she discovers in reality that she is more than curious about the shenanigans of Rick and the hired girl.
I read plenty of erotica, much of it disappointing. I've come to believe that a large portion of it is simply a narration of a schoolgirl’s fantasy...like reading a teenagers diary at times, lacking any real imagery and often lacking any notable writing skills. But not with McColl. This author succeeds in combining steamy erotica with substantive social commentary. The author brings real human elements into what is also a horny read, causing the reader to take pause and reflect on what they might really want compared to what they think they want. And McColl does all this with slick and intelligent prose.
A quick and entertaining read about a wife who decides to outsource the couple's sex life in an effort to free her from the grind of the lackluster and dull lovemaking experiences she shares with her husband. But the hog eats the butcher when the wife later finds herself enchanted by what's going on behind closed doors...specifically her bedroom door.
McColl's smooth prose and gifted writing make for another fun story!
This reminds me of a "Be careful what you wish for", but perhaps in a cuckquean setting. 1st part is from the husband's POV and part 2 continues with the wife's POV. Enjoyable read.
My only minor "complaint" was I had formatting issues, but I'm guessing that may have been on my end going from smashword mobi to my kindle reader.
