I didn't buy this book when it was first released, I was way too cool. Besides, I had better things to spend my money on at the time. But when I saw that it was being re-released I bought it immediately. It is a terrific book of photos from the mid 80's Hardcore scene in New York. And it's full of photos of my friends, so it holds a lot of nostalgia for me, especially page 31 and 131.

great pictures. i love this era and wish i was apart of it. i started going to cbgbs for hardcore shows around 2001 not nearly the same. such a crazy time but every picture is so awesome! we just got the re-issue of this book in the mail this week! RECOMMEND!

Great look into the people and faces that made up the early NY hardcore scene. Some interesting insights by some of the key players of that era. Great photography captured the gritty reality of early 80's NY.
