A quick read in the life of the Beta pair How Willow took care of her mate Bries first shift (too cure for her own good) And the glimpse of Alpha Edward's pov
The novellas in the Redwood pack series are some of my favorite stories. I love revisiting my friends and seeing what they are up to after their happily ever after. Thank goodness nothing earthshakingly terrible is happening in Beta's Haven, just the everyday trials that we all face. Jasper is feeling stressed, overworked, and like he's letting his family down. Something I'm sure we can all relate to. Willow kidnaps her mate for a hot rendezvous at a cabin in the woods. One of my favorite scenes in A Beta's Haven is the brief look we get at our pack Alpha, Edward, as a grandfather with a soft heart hiding under his tough exterior, second only to watching Brie's first shift. What a sweet little wolf pup she makes! I truly enjoyed this quick look into Jasper and Willows life.
Read all of the redwood pack series. Jasper the beta of the pack. Is over worked and tired. However jasper is not ,Maddox, the omegas twin. North is Maddox twin. There's some bad stuff happening to the redwood pack. It's nice to see willow and jasper get a little time out. This war has got to end I'm getting bored with all the fighting
Jasper has lost himself to his tasks. As a Beta, He has been so buried with pack work that he is exhausted. The exhaustion causes him to be distracted and he had a scary accident. Willow knows that she has to step in to help her mate or they could loose themselves. She talked to the Alpha, and Kade, to make a plan. The time away strengthens their bonds.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!! This sweet novella gives Jasper and Willow a moment to breathe and reconnect, and it’s everything. Seeing Jasper finally relax and enjoy being taken care of was such a treat. Their love is steady and strong, and this story highlights the quieter moments of Pack life.
A great little short story on the stress of being the beta of the pack. How everyone comes together once they realize Jasper is struggling. We get to see how the redwood pack can get along with their beta.
I love this series Carrie Ann Ryan is amazing 😊 I love how the mini books gives you what you're missing or pieces of stories you've already read to tell you how those characters are doing a couple years later
Read in the box set Vol 5. To me of this was a sweet little read but very bittersweet and extremely sad as I have already read Fighting Fate. Nice how Willow asked for help to help Jasper.
This book is a short catch up to see how these characters are doing. It’s a nice way to keep up to date with different members of the pack. Great performance.
In this one it was so good to read some more on Jasper and Willow especially since I had the pleasure to read on how they met and mated. I really enjoy when I am given more from a author on characters you have grown to love from the life they give them in their novels. This one was even more delightful because it dwelt more on them and the love and aid of a family and not so much on the war that is going on that endangers them all. Jasper is becoming burnt out but too proud and stubborn to see how it is also a real danger to him and others. The love Willow has for him is so awesome no way does she stand by on sidelines and keep watching this happen. So calling on his family which is now also hers they come up with a plan to enable him to be kidnapped by Willow. From there you see how heated love can help heal the weary and restore balance to a very lovable Jasper. This is also a breath of freshness because a little lighter than most of the novels in this series novel ideal of hers to make it so, but still intense enough to satisfy anyone's hunger for love that explodes. Those readers who have read and loved previous ones will eat this right up. Those who haven't will find this a teaser snack and will need more to satisfy their hunger for more of the Redwood Pack. Be advised light clothing might be in order from the heat that rolls off the pages though. Received a arc for a honest review.
I received an ARC of 'A Beta's Haven' from Fated Desire in exchange for an honest review!
I'm a big fan of the Redwood Pack series from Carrie Ann and I love the novellas that follows each couple after their book has ended!! Carrie Ann's Redwood books are excellent and 'A Beta's Haven' is no exception! I read it in one sitting and really enjoyed it.
I loved Jasper & Willow in 'A Taste for a Mate' and this novella let us see how great they are together.
The story follows the timeline of the main books and gives us a wee glimpse into the stress and pressure the war with the Centrals is putting on the whole of the Redwood Pack but on Jasper in particular ~ and how this has filtered into his relationship with Willow and their little girl...
Willow is concerned about Jasper and the toll taking care of the pack is taking... so, in an attempt to help him she kidnaps him and they escape for some long overdue time alone!!!
Though it's a short read, it was engaging and fun, with the heat and passion that we have come to expect from Carrie Ann's books!! As ever, family members popped up through the story - can't wait for Logan and Cailin's book!!!
This novella set between books six and seven of the Redwood Pack series is a fantastic glimpse of one of the beloved pack couples.
Beta of the Redwood Pack, Jasper has spent his entire adult life dropping everything so he can take care of others, all without complaining. His mate Willow knows that Jasper needs a break, even if it’s just for a weekend. He just might be in for the ride of a lifetime, if Jasper just lets go and lets his mate call the shots.
This fast paced novella is quick and fascinating look at a time out of not only the war with the Central Pack but also the continuing needs of the entire pack. The author brings this quick read to life with vivid images that capture the imaginations and of course the enchanting characters that captured the heart of the reader in A Taste for a Mate.
I love these wonderful little stories that continue to give the reader glimpses of the wonderful characters of the Redwood Pack. They bring the reader closer to the characters are actually make the reader more emotionally invested in continuing to read the series to find out just what happens with this intriguing werewolf romance series.
Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION’s Bewitching Bella – Charity: *eARC received from the author in exchange for an honest review
One of the greatest things about the Redwood series is that Carrie Ann hates to say goodbye to her characters especially when they have more to say, hence…NOVELLAS!!!! I love that we get to revisit our favorite couples and see how they are doing.
Jasper is tired and overworked, not that he would ever complain or want any other "job" in his pack. He loves that he can be the Beta his pack needs, but it’s taking its toll on him. That's when his wife Willow steps in and takes over a little. By doing so, she gives her husband the break he needs.
My favorite thing about this novella is that we get to see Edward - the alpha of all alphas - get wrapped around his granddaughter’s little finger. We get to see a softer side to the man that holds more power than anyone in the pack.
I love Carrie Ann and I love the Redwood Pack and I am so happy that we got to have a glimpse into Jasper and Willow's world again as we near the end of this series.
"A Beta's Haven" by Carrie Ann Ryan. Book 6.5 in the Redwood Pack series.
This is a short novella taking a look at the life of Jasper and Willow, the main characters from book 2 "A Taste for a Mate", after they have mated and now have a 2 year old daughter named Brie.
Jasper is the Beta of the Redwood Pack and has many responsibilities. But recently, those responsibilites have been wearing him down. He hardly gets to spend any time with his family but he feels guilty if he's not helping his pack.
Willow sees that Jasper is spreading himself thin being the Beta of the pack. He needs help and Willow will do anything she has to in order to help her mate. Even kidnap him!
This novella is short, sweet and to the point. It's a sneak peak look into how Willow and Jasper are handling mated life with family and outside responsibilities. It can be read as a standalone for a quick paranormal romance fix but would be enjoyed more if you have already read the rest of the series or at least have read their original story first.

So I will admit it. Jasper is the reason I fell in love with this series. His book is what got me hooked, so I was super excited to see this novella in the works. Being a fan of the series, I had no doubt that it would be hot, fun, and show more of the amazing connection WIllow and Jasper share. What I was not expecting and what made me over the moon happy were the glimpses we saw of his sister Caitlin and her *fingers crossed* future mate, Logan. Yay!!!! If you are a fan of this series, you are going to want to one click this novella to tide you over until the *insert sad face* last book of the series comes out. It does contain some spoilers of past books because it is in chronological order.
It was nice to get a little glimpse from Jasper and Willow. Since their book was the second in the series, it has been a while, though they do play small parts in most of the series. Due to Jasper's duty and their adorable daughter Brie, he and Willow do not get to have "adult" time very often. For wolves, who need the connection, it is a little bit more stressful. Willow enlists Jasper's family to lighten the burden of being the Beta and takes him on a short vacation. While there is still danger from the Centrals and Caym, they needed it. I am looking forward to the next book, but am a little sad to see the series ending. I have really enjoyed all of the Jamensons! Some sexiness goes on too! ;)
NUMBER OF HEARTS: 3 1/2 REVIEW: Jasper needs to learn to slow down a little and his perfect little mate is the one to show him how.
This was a short and sweet novella that give us a look at one of the favorite couples of the Redwood Pack series. I enjoyed this story but I think little Brie stole the show for me. She is too cute.
If you are a Redwood Pack fan you will enjoy this novella.
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of the book from Fated Desires in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

One of the things I like best about this series (besides the super hot Jamenson men) is that we get to go back and reconnect with earlier couples in novellas set between each full length book. Jasper and Willow are one of my favorite couples. They are suffering from overwork and underplay. Jasper especially as he has yet to learn he cannot do it all. Willow is determined to teach him to delegate and if the reward is time for some smoking hot nookie who is the loser?. This is a fun look back but also speaks close to home for me. Looking forward to Logan & Cailin.
I have been following the Redwood Pack Series since it started and my all-time favorite Jamenson has been Jasper. I loved Willow and Jasper’s story so I couldn’t wait to read their novella. I couldn’t wait to catch up with them.
A Beta’s Haven is a short, extremely heated view into Jasper and Willows life now. This novella shows how their relationship works and why they are perfect mates for each other. With screaming hot love scenes, hilarious scenes with little Brie, exhaustion and a fight with a Central this short was packed. I can’t wait for the next book!
As I love the couples/characters in this series, it is always fun to check in with the couples through these little novellas. Jasper and Willow are such an awesome couple. I love how they are as a family with Brie. However, Jasper was spread to thin, but not willing ask for help. However, Willow knows what her mate needs. However, she doesn't know how to fix it before it is too late. Can she help her mate? War will not stop the Redwoods from living, what else are they fighting for? Great quick read, love it!
These novellas are perfect in between stories that endear you even more to the characters. You really feel from Jasper as the Pack Beta who is going above and beyond to care for his Pack.....but at what cost. Here is where he learns a lesson on delegating as his family and Pack step up to help him and Willow so that he can care for them all as their Beta. In this novella we learn the value of family in all its iterations and what responsibility for others really means. I enjoyed this story and look forward to what is next.
As always Carrie Ann Ryan delivers another amazing book to read. This was such a sweet short story between Jasper and his mate Willow. Willow helps Jasper finds the balance he needs so he isn't spread out in so many directions or exhausted. With help from family, Jasper and Willow get away for a few days.
I always enjoy reading the Redwoods Pack series. I am looking forward to Logan and Cailin's book. Can't wait.
