Beta werewolf Declan Schroder knows Rachel Gentry is his mate. The hard-as-nails female is more than he could ask for—intense, clever and sexy as sin. There’s only one problem. Rachel is human and fears his kind. She’s receptive to his advances—their sexual chemistry is impossible to deny—until an attack by a rogue werewolf threatens to destroy their newfound bond.
As Declan’s mating heat rises, he knows he’ll do whatever it takes to claim Rachel as his own. To keep her he’ll have to love her from dusk to dawn, introducing her to pleasures she’s never known. Loving a big, bad wolf is wicked and dangerous, but not in the way she’s bound to regret.

This book was very good! 4+ stars! The story mostly focused on the main couple, Declan and Rachel but you got a chance to catch up with Jackson and Chloe too. As well as get a glimpse of what's to come with Shane. I can't wait for his book.
There wasn't a lot of miscommunication and running away from your feelings to create conflict. That annoys me. I enjoyed this book very much! Highly recommended. Happy reading!!
Spoiler free review: Where do I even begin? The romance was great, the book was short and to the point without too many unnecessary obstacles for the couple to overcome, which I honestly prefer much more to the lengthier romance novels that just drag on. I didn't expect to enjoy it this much, but I don't remember the last time I'd sat down and read for three hours straight to finish a book.
Better than the previous book. Declan, the pack Beta doggedly persuades the skeptical and feisty Rachel that they are mates. Rachel also happens to be BFF to Chloe the pack's Lupa. But there are evil b*tches out to get Chloe and Rachel was caught in between.
The storyline is quite straightforward with very obvious enemies and not so many of them unlike the Alpha and Omega series. An enjoyable read. Now we wait for the next book......
Rachel Gentry is the BF of Chloe the heroine from the first book. Rachel has a deep fear of all things paranormal and when Declan Schroder beta of Jackson Donovan's pack starts to pursue her, she's totally freaked out. But she is attracted to this gorgeous man/wolf. Declan knows that Rachel is his mate, but she's human. He's certainly got his work cut out for him.
While I enjoyed Declan and Rachel together, the sex was really hot and steamy, the underlying plot needed more detail and felt as though it was glossed over a bit. Once again this like the first book is a very quick read. Three and a half star read for me.
I wish there was a way to do 3.5 stars. LOL I enjoyed this book but it felt like it ended a bit abruptly... that said, I will be waiting for the next!!
This is the story of Declan and Rachel. We met them in the first book. We also learned that there are people who want Chloe dead. Chloe was in book one. While enjoying a girls night they, best friends Chloe and Rachel, have an intruder who wants to kill Chloe. Rachel immediately goes on the defensive and starts hitting on the intruder with whatever she can find. Chloe hides behind the couch and starts to change but she’s too slow. The intruder bites Rachel in essence changing her to a werewolf. Chloe does manage to kill the intruder (yay Chloe). Declan had been trying to “woo” Rachel slowly. He felt a pull to her when they first met but thought she couldn’t be his mate because she was human. Soon though, they started to dreamshare. This is what werewolf mates do when they start to recognize their mate. The story goes on with Declan and Rachel trying to deal with the “change”. There are sexual scenes that may offend some readers.
The last book I read put me in the mood for werewolf shifter romance again, but I've already read most of the popular ones, so I picked this up to try it out. I realized about 20% in that I've already read something by this author and wasn't a fan. Alas, that remains true with this one.
Lots of telling, which made the romance seem very insta-love. Like that part had already been done before this book started. But nothing in this book really explained why the human heroine would have the same fated mate feels as the werewolf hero. They also never really had conflict so never really had to recover from it. These meh feelings were also how I reacted to the sex scenes. Just meh all around, really.
There are sooooo many parts of the first book in this one, that’s it’s basically the same thing. Change the names, change some details here and there and boom ! you’ve got yourself a second book in a series. A strong woman gets turned into a ball of mush, because apparently you become weak when you confront your fears. Yeah, I can’t really say this one was good since again, pretty much felt like the first one. With any luck, the one will be interesting if it ever gets written. Let’s also hope it gets proof read and edited because yeah, this one wasn’t.

Book 2 of “The Wolf Den” series. Can be read solo but the plot anchors from book one and the epilogue sets up book three. Recommend reading in order, though I did prefer book two over book one.
Good world building, character development those simple plotline it developed well. Plenty of romantic sizzle. I ranked it for stars, I found it and enjoyable, read. I imagine the 3.8 average is a result of the more simple plot line, what you see is what you get no significant twists or turns.
9/10 Great carry over arc. While this can be read as a stand-alone it is best read second in The Wolf's Den series. A wonderful quick read that is better as a bath or long trip read. Cannot recommend this as a pick-up/put-down. Can't wait to read the next one.
Rachel has been afraid of the supernaturals since her fathers death. Her mother has always told her terrible stories about them and has made her fear what she doesn’t know. Since then she has avoided them at all cost. But when her best friend turns out to be a werewolf she is pushed into the path of Declan, the Beta of the pack and her destined mate.
Declan is very sweet, funny and devoted to Rachel. He wants to make her happy so he does his best to treat her like a queen once he gets her to stop fighting him about everything. It was nice to see him pushing for the relationship whereas Rachel just wanted to avoid him at all costs. I wish we could have had more of them without all the pack drama. It seemed that their relationship would often get pushed to the back burner when the pack needed them.
There was a nice build up of the sexual tension between Declan and Rachel that was fun to read. I liked how things would interrupt them or Declan would wait thinking that Rachel wasn’t ready. When they do have sexy scenes they are really hot and often creative. Declan was also very romantic and loving with Rachel even when he was ‘rough’ with her. There was always this underlining love and affection for her that made all his actions seem sweet.
This is the second book in the series and while it is a stand alone, it would be best read in order. You meet pretty much all of the characters in book 1 Marked, which is based on Rachel’s best friend and the Alpha of the pack. It is also in that book that Rachel and Declan meet. There is also some world building and background given on character’s that is helpful when you read this book.
Just as a heads up, there is a pretty big teaser for the next book and I am very excited about it. I don’t know a release date or title but I am hoping soon.
Rachel is a strong woman who must deal with becoming something she has learned to fear and loathe - a werewolf. Bitten during an attack, she will turn at the next full moon. I felt sad for her - between her lonely life& alcoholic mother,Declan is the one who protects her even though she's scared of becoming like him.Nice intro for Shane,a little mysterious, looking for a mate that doesn't seem to want to be found.
My issues with Changed: the pricing and editing. The price is too much for what's offered. Not much world building and Declan coddles Rachel with "my sweet girl," a little creepy imo. I only mention the editing in relation to the price- I could forgive misplaced words if I had paid .99-2.99 but not $6. It's funny but the epilogue had everything I wished the book had. I still plan to read A. hunter's books,I just hope Shane's story is better. 3.5*
I enjoy a good paranormal and this one didn't disappoint, it has a unique angle on wolves and mating and a mystery to keep you intrigued. I thought the characters were great Declan super sexy and Rachel is perfect for him, Declan is sweet and loving when he's with Rachel which I love. Rachel is my fav though she's tough as nails, no nonsense rough chick who just wants to be loved. I love these two characters together but like anything nothing is easy...Rachel is human and Declan isn't but the unimaginable happens and Rachel is lost in how to deal with her new life. Love the pack members especially Chloe and Jackson. Thought the story was very interesting kept me reading. Would love to read more total cliffhanger but I loved it.. ...4 stars
Been patiently waiting for Declan and Rachel's story since I've read the first book-Marked. They have that certain undeniable chemistry and I was itching to know the story behind Rachel's dislike and fear of the werewolves. And how will Declan prove to her his worthy and convinced her to get passed it. HAHA.
It was a lot sweeter and sexier and much better than the first book. Altho there's something a lil off with this one. I kind of like how it started and was excited every time they got a lil hot with each other but it seems there's something missing. I mean it was hot and sexy but I felt like the writer can give more. Or was it the lack of convo/banters between the MCs. Anyways, it was still a good read. Loving Declan here. XDD
PS. Excited for SHANE's story and how will he be able to get his newly found BLIND mate. Yay. SHAAAAAAAANE. XD
I am very much enjoying this set of stories. I like how the underlying trouble and flow through story doesn't get in the way of the romance. Rachel did not come across as annoying through her stubbornness not to have anything to do with Werewolves, mostly because her period of denial is not written about but referred back to. This helped the story because it made it more realistic but didn't slow it down more than it had to. And Declan is just a whole load of yumminess although for me, he doesn't quite meet Jackson for that Alpha hotness.
Storyline was excellent!! I can't wait for the next installment. The only negative I can find in aline hunter's books are the editing. In almost every book that I have read of hers I keep coming across sentences where it looks as though she wasn't quite sure how to say something, or was in the process of correcting it but didn't finish. A few times I actually wasn't sure what the sentence was actually supposed to say. Other then that I always enjoy her books.
This was a fantastic story, I loved it! I loved Declan, he is an awsome alpha male, strong, sensitive, funny and my favourite all growly! I loved Rachel, she was strong, funny, forgiving and loyal. The story line was fantastic and I loved the secondary characters, new & old! I'm so looking forward to book 3, Shane & Luna's story(I hope there book is next)!!!
This story was missing about 1/4 more to it to make it a full Hunter tale. It's pretty light and quick reading and the gist of it happens by 60% of the kindle. A lot of stuff even figuring out the bad guy/girl and a fight to determine the alpha all happens 'off camera'. The H/h has chemistry but this series is no where near the excellent Omega series and really seems more like filler.
I finally finished it and I am so glad about that. I have never read a book that NOTHING happens in the story... I mean nothing. So boring.
Sigh.
I really like this author but this series has not been very great for me. I didn't feel anything for the characters and really didn't care what happens to them.
Quick and enjoyable but nothing really happens in these stories. If you liked book 1 you will like book 2. Declan was very patient and sweet with Rachel and as usual the sex was hot. I'm looking forward to Shane's story.
