Book two of the Yilmaz chronicles follows Change in hiding! The following year plus after leaving Lance and everyone else behind for their own good, Change or Nicole as she’s now known is fighting with moving on while trying to learn to better control her gifts. Introducing Andre, her friend, her protector… little does she know her past is about to collide with her present yet again. How will Change face what’s ahead this time? Spice level: 3.5.

Amazing! This picks up right where the first leaves off. It has so much going on. I absolutely loved Andre. He is a dream come true. In the first book I loved Lance and his amazing caring side. This one he just rubbed me wrong at times. But Change was amazing. I love how strong and caring she is with everyone she loves. It still has a ton of action and drama. It is still a very emotional roller coaster that is felt throughout the story. The story pulls you in and doesn’t let go. It is extremely well written and developed. The descriptions, personalities and the spicy scenes really blend together in such an amazing story. It had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation. Then we get to the end and boy what a cliffhanger. I am so incredibly ready and excited for the next book. This is definitely a must read.

Oh! I was so happy when I got this book! It was just as good as the first one if not better! The Court’s Criminal picked up right where Lost Legacy left us. Like book one, I couldn’t put it down. Kat Bethel knows how to drag reader into the story, and I love it! In the first book I fell in love with Lance, but in this book, I was not very happy with him. I loved the chemistry between Change and Andre. I think I’m giving my “Will you be my book boyfriend?” card to Andre in this book. This book is action packed and full of twists and turns and let’s not forget the spice!

The series has been a rollercoaster of emotions. I am so excited for the next part. This series will be in my lifelong re-read section because it’s that good! SPOILERS- I was sooo nervous she’d choose Andre over Lance but I just love Lance so much. Andre is cool, but he is no Lance Christos. This author does smut perfectly, and I mean the “I need to change my underwear” perfectly. But also, the magic in the story is so unique because it’s used in a way that hasn’t been done before and I love it.

Ok so this book is really good, I think probably better than the first. We pick up right where we left off, she’s on the run and in hiding. I don’t want to give too much away but she finally finds a place where they can’t find her. And let me just say as much as I LOVE Lance I’m soooo team Andre. BUTTTT I’m hoping in book 3 it becomes a whychoose and she gets to live happily with them both 😁🤞🏻 because let’s be honest…yummm 🥵🤤🫠. She becomes a completely different person and I think becomes who she was meant to be. There is. I thing bad I have to so about this book EXCEPT the ending has me so mad. I was extremely pissed off when I read the last page…it just ended and felt so unfinished and I NEEEEEEED the next book. I was really hoping for some kind of resolution where I THOUGHT the ending was going. But noOoOo it just freaking ends! So now she needs to hurry up and finish book 3 because I don’t like it. 😂 it was exactly a cliffhanger but it was.

I loved this book more than the first I think! The emotional roller coaster ride Kat Bethal kept me on was insane. The new characters brought to life in this installment were just as lovable as the ones in the first, if not more 🥵
The passion, the drama, the romance, the new found friendships, the steam 🌶️ - need I say more?
The plot in this installment of the series thickens and intensifies the whole story. I hope we get more of the new characters’ backgrounds because I have so many more questions I need answers to!

The first half of this book took my heart in it's hands and was constantly squeezing all emotions out of me. The ending of book one had so much left unsaid and this book did the same, but the second half was a real ride. Change had become a new person and is on the run, she is being guilted by everyone she holds dear. I felt so sorry for her and so proud she was standing her ground, no matter the cost. Lance broke my heart and made me angry. Andre was a nice distraction and I loved how he was so kind to Change. I can not wait for book 3

I was not ready to get so attached to this series!

I was just minding my own business, and then Kat comes out of nowhere and gives us not just one, but TWO incredible books!!
I can honestly say already that this series is going to be on my all time favourite series list and that I’ll be buying all of the books ASAP!!

The only reason I am not giving this book a 5 stars is because it could use one more round through editing just for a little bit of polishing.
But overall, this is a 5 star book! 🤩🤩🤩

Heat level: 3/5. Now that I went back and read book 1 then reread what I started, things make so much more sense. I still can't believe I did that lol I'm still more team Andre than team Lance right now because Lance has made some dick moves in this one and I want to junk punch him repeatedly. He also needs a taste of his own medicine. Which I guess he got when *turns to character* she called HIM not you! I suspected one of the plot twists but not both. That was wild! I can't wait to see what the ending will bring to her story.

Absolutely LOVED this book. Our FMC is a total sassy badass and I t thoroughly enjoyed the scenes between her and her male counter parts (extra spicy dom goodness). One of my favorite lines in the whole book is “…already filled so many holes in my life; what was one more?” But spicy aside, the world building this author does makes me so happy! I felt like I was a part of it. That is a big plus for me because I love detail.

Could you change and become a new person on the run? Your whole world blaming you and making you feel guilty. Your heart will be broken, fall in love with new friends, and I hear that some people skip Spice Scenes. I Skip to Spice Scenes sometimes. If you're more like me Kat Bethel Always brings Scorching hot Spice you need to read.

I am Excited knowing this is book two of a five book series, "The Yilmaz Chronicles," because there is so much, I would love to learn about the new characters. If you liked "The Lost Legacy" you will Love "The Courts Criminal" and if you're new to this Adventure I would Experience the first two books Now because Kat Bethel's third book of "The Yilmaz Chronicles" will be here for you soon.

I'm loving this series, Change is a feisty heroine, Lance (because he's the real OG) is my book lover and the books have this amazing way of juggling drama, angst, romance (we mean smut too obv), humour and action!
It follows smoothly on from book 1 to continue Change Yilmaz and her destiny.
Holding out for book 3 to hurry on out because 😍😍 SO BLOOMIN GOOD.

Chapters 16-21

Wow,Wow these last couple of chapters has ups
and downs,flashes and heart rate rising moments.

I CAN'T WAIT to read the third book,
the synopsis for the third looks Amazing!!!


Chapters 11-15

Just when we thought Change/Nikki's
life has settled,
another blast from her past
has found her,and the plot thickens.

Heart rate rising moments
are like a tennis game
during these chapters.

I'm sad to see it end,but can't wait to read more


Chapters 6-10

Well what do we have here is Change/Nikki
setting down roots,but it's not who you think
it's with.

Two hospital trips yikes,but
there was a good nurse at home.
Someone from Change/Nikki's
passed pays her a visit.

Most of the chapters had me giggling
at most parts,
there was A LOT of
heart rate rising moments though.

I CAN'T WAIT to read more
