Shiloh Trudell wishes she were an ordinary girl. But for as long as she can remember, she has seen otherworldly creatures that prey on the innocent, including her classmates. With the body count rising, Shiloh resolves to learn more about the deadly curse on the town of Ravenwood, as well as the ominous shadows that seem to follow just a few steps behind Trent Donovan, local hottie and Shiloh’s current crush. For reasons, she can’t explain she’s inexplicably drawn to Trent and the haunting world of Craven Manor. The dark secrets infused within the town have long tendrils, mostly affecting its teenage residents. And they’re not the only ones hiding something.
I was so incredibly disappointed by this book. I enjoyed the first book. It left off on a big cliffhanger and I immediately obtained this one to continue. But instead of starting out where we were left off, the story just randomly went back to normal life. Except apparently it was normal life from a few weeks prior to where the last book ended. But now there is suddenly a new love interest that we know NOTHING about, the missing girls (including the BFF) have mysterious reappeared as a small footnote, and the huge cliffhanger from the birthday party is just ignored. Like it never freaking happened. I read about a third of the book before I realized I had no idea what the hell was going on and the author was clearly never going to fill in the blanks. It felt like I had missed an entire book somewhere. I even spent like twenty minutes researching the series to see if I had, in fact, missed a novella or SOMETHING. Nope. Just terrible plotting...
Book 2 in The Spell Bound series is even better then the 1st book. You finally get the answers you've been waiting for. What's going on with Shiloh and her witch powers, why Esael the demon wants her so badly. What her mother Darrah is all about and her ain't finally returns to help her Although their are more secrets yet to be revealed. Trent finally comes to terms with the haunted manor after his mother appears to confront Darrah but I don't want to give that away. So let's just say after Darrah puts Shiloh through bell no sixteen year old should endure especially from their own mother Shiloh decides it's time to end it all and that she does. What becomes of Darrah I guess we will learn in book three. As for Trent and Shiloh it's clear they belong together but will they be? Yes their both in love with each other. It never goes very far or even really gets a chance too even though the whole book you'd wish they'd finally get their s*** together and figure it out. Shiloh has become more powerful also but has along way to go and now her friends know she's a witch and was institutionalized. What's school going to be like for her? And the big revealed mystery Madison and what really happened to Shiloh friends. You'll have to read this book to find out those answers. So if you liked the first book you'll love this one. Me I can't hardly wait to read book three. I just love Sherry Soules writing although I do think she needs to find a editor who doesn't skim the books and fixes mistakes. That annoys me and I came across a lot more then I'd like, plus a good book like this should be perfect . No mistakes. So please next time get a beta reader, get a editor who reads and cares that it's perfect you as a author Sherry deserve it with as well written as this book is. the storyline is awesome .
Those if you who have read these books should also read her first book Lost in Starlight. I think it was a very good book.

Those if you who have read these books should also read her first book Lost in Starlight. I think it was a very good book.
The Cover: I really like the cover for Shattered Silence. A blue-eyed lady, with her face covered below her nose, in front of a broken glass. Silhouettes beyond of a wooded area, trees, possibly a house in the trees. Dark and shadowy, building excitement for an awesome story.
The Plot: What a way to get back into Shiloh's story. Things ramp up pretty quickly as Shiloh continues to learn about being a witch, as she interns at Craven Manor and her and Trent spend more time together. Shattered Silence had me holding my breath, hoping not to disturb the angry spirits. I literally had goosebumps and was telling Shiloh not to go up the stairs! The storyline to Shattered Silence was very well written, moved along at a great pace and kept me reading late into the night (and jumping at the things that go bump in the night)
The Characters: Sherry Soule creates great characters that you can relate to. Being the odd girl in high school, the weird one, different. I can certainly relate to Shiloh. Also, the uncertainty in herself, her relationships, and the issues with her parents. I like the mystery around Trent. You kinda know why he is such a badass, but things seem to be changing about him as well. I would love to see Ariana get more of a side kick role as Shiloh continues to develop her powers and kick demons asses.
Is It Worth Reading? Definitely! I really enjoy a good escape from reality and once again Sherry has put together an awesome adventure with a haunted house, a teenaged witch, and a badassed hottie. What more could a girl want? I highly recommend the Spellbound series to readers of YA Fantasy and Paranormal and thank Sherry for sharing this amazing series with us. Shattered Silence gets 5 out of 5 crossbows.

Shattered Silence is Book Two of the Spellbound Series. Much like the first book, it pulls you in from the first page. It’s a book you simply can’t put down.
We get to continue on a journey with 16 year old Shiloh Trudell. She has always had the gift of Sight, especially when dealing with creepy little shadows, but only recently does she discover her true abilities in magick. She has to focus on improving those skills to take on what has become inevitable. The day is quickly approaching for her to fight the demon—the demon who has a hitlist for the town’s teenagers. All of this seems to revolve around Fallen Oak’s haunted house, Craven Manor, which has recently reopened to undergo renovations. Not only is she dealing with the normal tribulations of being an outcast teenager, and now the added addition of demon hunting, but Shiloh has also been drawn to Trent Donovan, the heir of Craven Manor. In her heart, she knows she’s not the only one hiding a dark secret.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series by Sherry. She does an amazing job of making the story come to life; I felt like I walked beside Shiloh in her journey, rooting for her every step of the way. The connection she has with Trent is indescribable. It pulls at your heartstrings. They have this remarkable chemistry, this pure passion for each other. You find yourself falling in love with these wonderful characters. I love that we get to see Shiloh continue to grow and strengthen in her abilities and in her confidence. She matures through the book, realizing what’s truly important. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this book……well, the whole series for that matter.
You never know what to expect from a book two in a series, but this one grabbed you from the very first page and never let you go.
Shattered Silence picks up right where Beautifully Broken ended. Sherry Soule had me feeling as if I was right in the book with Shiloh, living the life she is stuck with. I love that the connection with Trent is still there and still as strong as ever, but I have to say I feel there is more to it than what has been shared with us so far.
In the first book, the reader realized how bad Shiloh’s parents are, especially her mother, Darrah. In this book you get a better understanding with why Darrah is as she is. I am not giving her a pass, she is still a mother and every child, especially a teenager, needs her mother, but it did give me an understanding where I could go Oh, Yeah, I see. Darrah still have not gotten what she deserves, in my opinion.
With some series each book can be a standalone story, in this series I highly recommend that you read the books in order. Each book, so far, is amazing and I highly recommend that any paranormal lover read this. I would consider this a MUST READ series. Sherry Soule might have just become one of my favorite authors.
