Author's Note: Although Tempted was originally a stand-alone story, reader's enthusiasm inspired me to write a second part to Jason and Lucy's story. Twice Tempted gives readers a look into what happens with Jason and Lucy after that crazy first week.

I got this book (novella) for free on Amazon and I have to say the thing I HATED about it was that it wasn't longer!!! Elizabeth Kelly I want more!!! Sadface... Lucy and Jason deserved a full length book because I wanted to know more about them. About their pasts, their friends and their family.
Anywhoo for a freebie this book was really good so if you got an hour or so to spare download Tempted and see if you want more. I sure did...plus did I mention its free?
So I just found out that there is a second book called Twice Tempted and I am so freaking excited to read it and see what happened next.

An excellent freebie short~~~I like that we get both POV's. Lucy isn't the 'perfect' lead female body type, but is comfortable in her own skin which is refreshing. Jason's reaction to an overheard insult concerning her is awesome. There's a continuation. I want it;)

This was a short hot read... totally free on Amazon...

Lucy hates her boss... he's a rude asshole... But, what she hates the most is how hot and bothered he makes her feel... the fact that she hasn't had time for any hook ups or bed sheet tossing in the last 6 months since he came to the company isn't helping her sexual frustration...

But that's all about to change... on a late Friday night after a long day of work... they both end up catching the same elevator on their way out... what neither of them could have imagined was it turning out to be quite the ride...

PLEASE IGNORE SOME NEGATIVE REVIEWS, GIVE THIS TRY!


One of the best things I've ever done was ignore a couple of the negative reviews. Though there were quite a few of 5 star reviews, I admit I almost did not get this book. the negative reviews somehow influenced me. Seeing it was free I decided to get it, and I can't tell you enough how glad that I did. This is so cute, short but fun read. it's not anymore erotic than a lot of books out there that have become a blockbuster. Having read some of those, this one is baby play, sure some scenes are kindle circuits melting hot and may have to be read in an air conditioned room (lol) but boy, it's engaging!

The heat, spark between Jason and Lucy is way off the charts, I love that the heroine is smart, calm and cool and described in looks like just an average looking girl most of us can relate too. Unlike so many heroine in most books that are either too beautiful, slim, tall and too sexy. etc. but whiny, weak and clingy. Lucy is a breath of fresh air, might be weak in the flesh but who wouldn't, with a great amazing hunk, sex on a stick like Jason. Their dialogue, bantering back and forth is a tease and definitely a turn on. It's a regular office romance where they tried to ignore each other, fight their desire and strong attraction but failed miserably when one night they got trapped in an elevator, alone. And wow, was that hot?!!

I was disappointed, almost sad even that it was short, that I wished it was a full length novel, and to my delight, it had a 2nd book and my gosh, it was even hotter! Their feelings went way beyond just casual sex, deeper and meaningful and they fell in love. Please read this and the 2nd book, I promise you won't be sorry. This is my first book of this author, it is so well written and I know I'm going to read more of her books.

This was a hot little read that doesn't waste time getting right to it. It all starts when Lucy gets stuck in an elevator with her gorgeous boss that she thinks hates her. Turns out he's overcompensating for his lack of controlling his attraction to her. You know how elevators are, small confined places that get warm quickly, with two over sexed people in there it doesn't take long. Chemical reactions aside Jason and Lucy realize that there is defiantly something here. Next thing j you know he has her begging him and asking her how she's gonna want it, on the floor or up against the wall. Lucy being mostly incoherent at the time Jason takes charge of most of the decisions and he likes to steal her panties too. Now that the hottest sex she's ever had in her life is done she, of course, is mortified with her lack of control. Not to mention the fact that they have to quickly dress and he looks smooth and polished as usual and she looks like she was rode hard and put up wet. Thoroughly tussled she burns out of the parking lot breaking land speed records dreading her next day at work. She's worried about how inappropriate it was and the whole thing in general she's afraid of what will happen if other people find out. Jason doesn't let her lack of enthusiasm at their coupling dissuade him and he isn't really concerned about impropriety. He ambushes her in the copy room, and the restroom and his office with the door open and then later, well you get the idea. He was relentless and she loved it, even though she fought it ,of course she had to have some sense of pride. They were wild and rambunctious and it was great, left you wanting more.

I loved this story! It was a great read. Lucy is always in control. She never lets her guard down that is until a steamy encounter with Jason in a broken elevator. I loved watching Lucy give up control and submit to her true desires. She shows just how weak she really is and having a man take control could really change everything.

The office has a bet going on who can bed him first. No one invites Lucy to join the bet because they don't think she has what it takes to win. They snicker and talk around her. Each one sharing their own plan to seduce Jason.

This was a great short story and a page turner. I loved how Jason knew just what to do to get Lucy panting. If you read erotic, Elizabeth Kelly should definitely be a must read. The emotion is strong and the sex is hot. What more could you want from a short story?

This novella was a lot of fun to read. Jason is Lucy's boss and has been attracted to her for months, but instead of acting on his feelings, he basically treats her like crap. Lucy is not ignorant to his cold attitude and when she's trapped in an elevator with him, she's not afraid to voice her displeasure as well as her pleasure. Jason admits he treated her badly because of his attraction and then proceeds to seduce Lucy. Poor Lucy never had a chance against Jason. She had no idea what to do with his confident, domineering attitude and it was quite comical and super hot all at the same time. He surprised her constantly with his devilish behavior and quick tongue. Although their relationship was very sexual, I felt that it felt natural. They had a really consuming connection. I just wish the story was longer.

I enjoyed this novella. For a short story, the characters were pretty well developed. Some of the circumstances were a bit hard to believe, but I think the fact that I was pulled in anyway says a lot. The chemistry between Lucy and Jason was impressive. I liked how I got to watch Jason morph from single-minded jerk--in Lucy's eyes--to a guy who takes in stray cats.

My only criticism is that it could really use more editing. The concept is fun, but the repetition of certain key words and phrases in some scenes drew me out of the book, and the punctuation needs work. Creative dialogue tags abound, as well.

Overall, I'd recommend for a fun, short read.

This was another fun, short freebie. (I've been catching up on them) I liked the characters and the story line. This is more centered on the 'activities', but there was enough emotions and a little meat to keep me interested. The ending was sweet, if not a real HEA, and I liked it too. There was humor, plenty of sparks and good emotions. I wouldn't mind reading this again for a quick pick-me-up read. A one-sitter and pretty much for any time. A good surprise for a freebie. Enjoy

A great, quick read with smutty fluff.
Lucy´s boss doesn´t like her, so she avoids him in return, trying to supress the feelings he stirs in her.
Then one night they both get trapped in the elevator - and the feelings can´t be ignored any longer.
Great UST (unresolved sexual tension), temptation and smutty fluff.

Great short story about Lucy and Jason. They start a torid office affair. What I love is that Lucy is smart, confident, beautiful and a size 12. :) Even better is Jason's attraction to her. Love it. Love the chemistry between Jason and Lucy. Love their banter. :)

Would love to read more books with characters like Lucy and Jason.

Lucy has had a crush on her boss since day one -- as have most of the women in the office, who have a bet going to see who will be the first one to get Jason to bed. Lucy was excluded from that bet, since her waif-thin mean girl coworkers don't think he'd be interested in her plus-size curves. However, when Lucy and Jason are trapped in an elevator together, sparks fly, and they're both interested in more than a one night stand.

Tempted is a novella, and suffers from some of the common novella sins (like one-dimensional supporting characters). However, the plot is paced appropriately for the length, and the smoking hot romance makes up for any other sins the author might make. Tempted is a fun, sexy romance and definitely worth a read.

Normally I don't really read romance — everyone staring at all the grim shit I read says, "Oh you don't say???" — but I read this because of a potential work thing. Nothing wrong with romance, but we like what we like. And this definitely does what it sets out to do by hopping right to the frisky business, but in a way that makes sense for the circumstances. I can see why people like Kelly's books. Anything I didn't care for is a ME thing and not a writing quality thing.

Wow! Such a super steamy read! I truly liked it. Two stars mean "it's okay", that is I am just used to these kind of stories; still, a nice read (although literally almost every page is sex).
