Book 6 in The Manhattanites

For fans of ABC’s Revenge and VH1’s Celebrity Rehab comes UNCENSORED, a full length stand alone contemporary m/f erotic romance on how two wrongs can make a right.

(Content Warning: The detox of a wealthy heiress and an ego maniac leads to dirty talk, hate-fin’g, exhibition, bondage, jealousy, paddling, excessive wetness, forgiveness and love.)

Sobriety is in vogue this season when Debauchery magazine founder Vive Farnworth trades in her Park Avenue mansion for a halfway house. Enjoying “therapy” on a tomato farm she relearns how to live. Her focus on fruit soon ripens when a new roommate moves in. He’s dominant and challenging, and she swears his orgasm-enducing body looks familiar. Then again, her memory is one gin martini blur.

Stripped of his Olympic gold medal, Roddick “The Grunt” Beckstrong was the #1 professional tennis player in the world until a certain news outlet exposed him for doping to enhance his performance. After losing custody of his son to his ex-wife, along with sixty-five million dollars, he’s out for revenge against the owner of the tabloid that ruined his life—Debauchery.

To destroy his nemesis…he’ll entice her mind, seduce her soul and satiate her body’s lust. Then he’ll publicly humiliate her! Falling in all-consuming love along the way wasn’t part of his plan, but it happens. When Vive learns of Roddick’s motives, she ups the ante with the one thing he hadn’t obliterated, her heart. It’s a vengeance that he never saw coming. Whoever stays sober the longest may win something their fame and fortunes never gave them before—a chance at happiness.

This is not a story, fiction, novel, just piece of paper telling u what vive's going on. It only cover 1/4 of the book, the rest are the old one which I had bought, read before.

Yes, I m disagree this kind of marketing strategy, u ask your reader to buy your book but it only cover a few of pages then the u resell your old one said it's bonus book? WTF, I M STUPID BUT NOT THAT MUCH.

I love the story of fOUR, lex, Blake, traddy n vive. They may be rich but they are hurt in different way, they maybe success but inside they are just crowd. Happy to know their story, glad that they get what they deserve, people they love, family, best friend n HEA.

3.5 Stars!

Two people who have more in common than they realize can't stop their instant attraction, even if it's forbidden. Vive is going to a tomato farm that is also a halfway house, she is serious about her sobriety this time. Rod is a famous tennis player who has lost it all due to a scandal and is at the halfway house trying to get his life together, and get a little revenge as a bonus.

This is a tale of insta-love and revenge. It's funny, sexy and has just a dash of angst to keep it interesting. My only complaint is I wish it would have been longer. But, a little Avery Aster is better than none at all!

"Whoever stays sober the longest may win something their fame and fortunes never gave them before—a chance at happiness."

It's Vive's book...it's a short book but I really enjoying it, although I wish it was longer. It's really refreshing seeing other side of Vive, the sober one. It's really touching the truth about why she's addicted to booze and pills, it's all to numb her pains, after what she's been through, I get it why she needs to be numb.
Vive on the way to sobriety met one hot tennis player who's trying to do some smear campaigns against her for revenge, well it's sure an exciting story. Firecracker Vive and playboy Roddick, definitely there's fire there and a lot of hotness.

As for the book, it's another fun hot sexy book by Avery Aster. Although once again I wish there's more.
If you're looking hot fun short book you must try this one.

**My thanks to NetGalley and Avery Aster for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is a sexy as hell novella that finds Vive Farnsworth coming out of rehab and into a half way house where she finds her happily ever after.

I managed to read this novella in an hour, but i am a fast reader.

As a bonus story, you also get the first Manhattanites book Unscrupulous as a free read, which is great unless you have already been following the series and have already read it.

I was a little disappointed that this was such a short length novella, and felt that Vive was getting a little screwed over in the book department, especially as Lex and Taddy both got full length books.

On the whole though it is brilliantly written in the authors dirty, fast and witty way. Just a little too short for me.

"Uncensored" is Vive's story.
Vive's trying to stay sober after her rehab, so she moves into halfway house. That's where she meets Roddick Beckstrong, a tennis player.
Rod lost everything - his son, his career and his money. Now he's recovering from his addiction. But he also has another goal - to destroy Vive Farnworth, just like she destroyed him.

I liked this one! It's a short, insta-love kind of story.
Vive is... cool. I liked her and it was nice to see her sober. Story of her life is a sad one, but finally after many years of numbing her pain with booze and pils, she decided to finish rehab. As for Rod, he's hot, sexy and really, REALLY quick with voicing his feelings - seriously, that moment dumbfounded me for a moment.
Overall, enjoyable story if you want a quick read.

4.5 stars. I love all things Vive and this was no exception. So glad to see her getting her life straightened out and finding a great guy in Rod. This book started out with Rod wanting to get revenge on Vive for publishing a true story about him, therefore "ruining" his life. Once Rod gets to know Vive and how she is changing her life, he really changes his mind about her.

These 2 have instant can't keep my hands off you chemistry...which I loved. This book had the same great ornery humor as the rest of the books in this series and when the gang is together....so dang funny. This was a short & fun insta-love book....I just wished there was a bit more to it....because I always want more Vive. Very glad she finally got her HEA...she deserved it. Fun read.

I just love reading about the Manhattanites. Vive is as interesting as any of them. After a stint in rehab and then going to live at a half way house Vive ends up with the one guy that is determined to ruin her. The problem is she isn't really to blame, but Rod doesn't know that. I have to say I had major tears when Vive gave her final prayer for Hedda (little spoiler ) Together two imperfect people find a way to become a completely perfect couple. And the saga continues with Poppy, can't wait for her book

REVIEW: UNCENSORED is the seventh installment in Avery Aster’s adult, contemporary THE MANHATTANITES erotic, romance series. This is Debauchery magazine founder Vive Farnworth, and former tennis star Roddick ‘The Grunt’ Beckstrong’s story line. UNCENSORED can be read as a stand alone without any problems.

Told from dual first person perspectives (RoddicK and Vive) UNCENSORED focuses on revenge and betrayal. Following one year of rehab Vive Farnworth is about to enter a half-way house for further treatment. Enter Roddick Beckstrong-former tennis pro whose career was destroyed when a tell-all tabloid article in Debauchery released information about doping and drugs.Roddick will enter rehab at the same half-way facility as Vive, and devise a plan to destroy her career. What ensues is a quick build up of sex and love when two people come to terms over their acts of betrayal and revenge.

UNCENSORED is a very quick read; an erotic look at insta-love between two people whose lives were destroyed by drugs and alcohol. The premise is fast paced; the characters are passionate; the romance is virtually non-existent. If you are a fan of Avery Aster’s THE MANHATTANITES series then grab a copy of UNCENSORED to peak into the lives of Roddick and Vive.

Vive Farnworth is the founder of Debauchery magazine and she has spent her life making sure that her magazine lives up to that name. After years of partying hard and living life on the edge, Vive realizes that it is finally time for a change....too bad that some mistakes can't be forgotten as easily as Vive would hope.

Roddick "The Grunt" Beckstrong was the #1 professional tennis player in the world until a story written by Debauchery magazine exposes just how he made it in the tennis world and send his career straight down the drain.

Rodrick's career is over...Vive is ready to put her past behind her. The real question is can Rodrick forgive and let Vive enjoy her new found sobriety or will he decide to break Vivi the way she broke him? Read and find out!

I am voluntarily read this advanced review copy of this book.

This book is a stand alone with no cliffhanger. I have read every single book in this series and I must admit that it has stolen this Ex-New Yorkers heart. Rodrick and Vivi were great! They were like a bundle of heat, passion and romance that I just wanted to read over and over again.

The reason why this book did not get 5 stars from me was because it was short and I felt as though somethings happened in both Vivi and Rodricks life that I felt needed a little closure. I felt that Vivi did something in her past and I wanted to know what happened overall...Did she know where it was...Didn't she want it back? Rodrick I felt needed to really accept his part in past mistakes. The great thing though is that after reading all of the books in this series I know this will not be the last that I hear from Vivi.

Listen people this book may be short but what it lacked in pages it fully made up in emotions so strong that I was crying my eyes out. Great job Avery Aster, I can't wait for more!

Simply put this was sex, sassy, entertaining and hot as sin. We have two people who are recovering from addictions and they clash. One wanting revenge for the other ruining their life and the other lost as to what the anger is about. vive is just as wild, sassy and honest as ever only now she’s sober. She has no filter and that makes her so entertaining and refreshing. She is now out of rehab and at a halfway house to continue her rehab. Here she meets the very angry Roddick. he is bound for revenge after vive’s magazine ruins his life. Never mind his actions are what precipitated it all. Two sexy honest and wild people thrown together after time in rehab and we have a kettle to explode. And when they explode wowza. Cold showers are needed.

What makes this more fun is vive has no clue what is up Roddick’ s but. He is angry but she can’t for life of her figure out why. When she finds out it helps to solidify a decision. As Roddick gets to know the sassy Vive he sees a different person than he thought she was and is feeling bad about his desire for revenge. he does do the right thing but damage is done and these two have to work out there feelings in order to move on and stay sober. the attraction between them is through the roof and sizzles the pages. The story is fun and sassy with some sexy undertones and just keeps you in the moment with them rooting that they will end up together in the end. It is a wild sexy ride.

This is the 7th book in The Manhattanites series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading in order.

Vive and Rod meet for the first time at the farm. I say this term loosely since they are both recovering addicts who have had a lot to deal with over the last year. Vive has great friends who want to help, and that makes all the difference.

Rod has had his life torn apart. Nothing is the same. He can actually say he has hit rock bottom, and lost everything. When he comes face to face with his adversary, however, he is not sure at first how to react. They both are hiding secrets that can change the course of the future for both of them.

I felt like this was the best book in the series. It had such depth. The characters had to really lose to win. It was a very powerful story, infused with humor and heat. The sexy times are really hot! Great add on for The Manhattanites series.

This book was something that I've waited for, for so long now! And it didn't disappoint. Although, this book was only a short story (only took me about two hours to read it), it gave me so much happiness. I have now read every book in the Manhattanites series and Vive has always been a bit of a mystery to me. Now, I finally got my answer to everything I have ever wondered about her and to know that she finally got her happy ending just makes everything so much better.
This story was fast paced, full of sexual tension and it never got boring. I have said it before, I absolutely adore Avery Aster's way of writing and I can't wait to read whatever comes out next!

Short, sweet, and oh so sexy! That is this book in a nutshell. If you're a fan of the Manhattanites however, it's so much more than that. This is Vive’s defining moment and the turning point in her life. This book manages to be outrageously provocative while still pulling on your heart strings. The characters are over the top, yet still remain very real, honest, and wonderfully imperfect. They draw you right into the story and you just can't help but become invested in their lives. You find yourself rooting for them. I truly enjoyed every word of this book, and I would highly recommend it anyone looking for an absolutely riveting read.

Vive’s magazine, Debauchery, wrote a career ending story about Rod and he wants revenge. Vive has decided enough is enough and has gotten clean and sober and is now at a half-way house/tomato farm to adjust to her new way of living life. She is immediately taken with her housemate, Rod, and doesn’t know the damage her magazine did to him. What happens when Vive realizes what happened? Can Rod forgive her? You will have to grab your copy to find out what happens next.
This is a short story of revenge, forgiveness, intense passion and some steamy, toe-curling, erotic sex. Having not read the entire series, I was still able to follow along and enjoy the story.

I just love Avery's work!!! *bows to the master of the Manhattanites*

This little book for sure spiked emotions between giggling, loving, tearing up and fist pumping I just fell in love!!

Viv is finally clean and falling for someone she doesn't even remember destroying but booze will do that to you. It figures she gets clean and a bunch of other BS turns up to hurt her some more but she being Viv takes it in stride.

This was a short but great story tying Vivs loose ends and helping to give us closure in her life.

Bravo Avery!!!

Hang on for an exciting, sexy, crazy spin with Vive. She is always over the top and now she finds herself on a tomato farm/half way house as she finishes her rehab. She is reunited with her treasured dog, Hedda Hopper, which uplifts her spirits. Then a sexy tennis player lands in her lap, Roddick. What she doesn’t know is she damaged his career, well her magazine did. Roddick is looking for revenge so he never expects to find love. Can he prove to Vive that he is worth the risk? Will Vive finally get her own happily ever after? Will she let herself actually have one?

I didn't expect this one being so short, so novella. For a drama girl, she did have some background to have so little and no digging into her childhood to the end. Anyway, I quite like the characters, it felt a bit different than the previous ones.
