Decent story.

I've enjoyed both books in this series so far. I do have to admit I'm losing some interest. The writing style is almost too stilted if that's the word I'm looking for. For example, the sex scenes don't really flow well at times. Otherwise, it's an interesting plot. I'm not too invested in the romance but curious enough to keep reading to see what happens next.

The story continues for Elle who is now dating Ivan.

Elle is a little exasperating and to be honest both male leads are as bad as each other.

So Elle and Ivan continue their relationship, although admittedly with bumps. Oscar and apparently Paul watch on. And so we get more of an insight into Ivan. He's got some secrets... or more accurately he's got some choices he could make and he chooses to make decisions that leave Elle in the dark. He'll regret that.

Then something happens. No HEA yet, although we do have questions. My primary one is why hasn't she just settled on James. My secondary one, what's with the dogs. Still loving the whole British thing though. Waitrose this time and LIBOR. It's how I know we're moving in classy circles. See some of the reviews that complain about British slang, I'll say that yeah, because this involves banking we're definitely seeing more (like the idea that Oscar's bank isn't a retail bank, for example, let Nat West, more Coutts) but still its authentic and as someone who reads both American and British books I find it's better to have them authentic to their cultures rather than weird hybrids (which are usually poor research).

Would have said 3, but it left with a good cliff hanger

Things I hated about this series:
- Spelling/grammar mistakes
- Main character
- Unnatural dialogue that never flowed
- The jumpy writing going from place to place which actually made me feel stressed at one point because it was moving so fast
- The ridiculousness of the story:
-- Three billionaires working in the same building basically in love with her and competing for her? Yeah, sure.
-- Russian Mob? Yeah, sure.
-- Convenient deaths of antagonists? Yeah, sure.
-- Randomly spending 5million on her flat a few months into the book? Yeah, sure.
-- Her random and oh so clever iPhone recordings? Oh come on. Just no.
- The supposed love story with Ivan which was utterly ridiculous - how many times did he put her in harm's way or betray her trust or whatever just for her to keep going back to him within minutes?
- I think the main character is actually a sociopath. Rifling through Dascha's things and taking them all days after their death? Her constant changes of mind with Ivan? She started to really freak me out.
- "I hugged myself with glee" - phrase needs to go

Things I liked about this series:
- She is the greatest lawyer who ever lawyered even though she just came out of trainee lawyering. I mean at some point I was just reading this for the lawyer bits which seemed about as realistic as someone writing a John Grisham novel having never met a lawyer, read a law book, or indeed read a John Grisham novel.
- Erm. I have nothing else. Apparently there are two spin off books written from Ivan's and Oscar's povs. God help us.

I loved this book couldn't put it down. After bringing a lot of new clients to the company Elle received a really nice raise. Oscar reached out to Elle to apologize for what she had seen between him and Darius and hoped that they could still be friends. Ivan & Elle started seeing each other, but it seemed that every choice that Ivan would make Elle would be very upset with him. Ivan had invited Elle to accompany him to a function and when they got there she saw Oscar arrive with Dascha Ivan's ex who immediately insulted Elle. Elle received bad news from home about her mother and she noticed that Oscar was more compassionate then Ivan. Ivan was going to a business trip to Russia and promised to return to be with Elle on her time of need, but Elle notice that something was wrong and they finally told her that Ivan and his men were missing.

Ivan!

Ivan, Ivan, Ivan... I don't know if I need to say more than the man's name. If you read book one then you know he captures the readers attention pretty fast.

The second installment of A Very Corporate Affair will give the reader a more thorough picture of Ivan.

Elle is still on top of her A game. This woman is on fire and not just with the men in her life. Her professional career is taking off like crazy.

Can't wait to start book 3!!

This story just gets better. Can't make my min up about Ivan and I'm for team Oscar but with the unexpected surprises so far, I think James re-appearance may put both their noses out of joint. Ivan has dark secrets which may come back to bite Elle. Kidnaping, death treats steamy sex.........On to book three.

Wow what a wonderful read, Elle is such an amazing character I really love her strength and how she is able to deal with everything thrown her way. I am a bit sad for Oscar but I do see how she can relate to Ivan so much. Wow the cliffhanger was so unexpected although I knew there was something waiting to happen. So glad I have book 3 so I can immediately start reading.

I must admit I had doubts that this book could possibly be as good as the first one but it was, if anything it was better. Now I'm left anxiously waiting for the next one, luckily I don't have to wait too long.

A wonderful story continues, Elle is a strong and powerful woman who does not recognise her own strength. I'm hoping she gets back with Oscar as there is something about Ivan I don't like
