Paranormal romance is not my usual genre but I loved the vibe of this one so much I couldn’t resist! If you’re a fan of supernatural, true blood or the books hush hush imagine all of those things mushed together and you have this book!
For a while there I wasn’t sure how I felt about Brielle and Azra. She is such a strong FMC and he is well him but I ended up loving them together! This was a slow burn but baby when they started burning they were on fire!!
For this being the authors debut novel I was so impressed! There were twists and turns and that cliffhanger oh my goodness!! I devoured this book and can’t wait for the next one!

I loved the overall premise of the book and even though I knew it was going to end of a cliffhanger, I gasped at the end!

Loved Brielle and Azra together, can’t wait to see more of their story! The supernatural aspect of the book was fun as well and I’m curious to see where it goes in the next one.

I’m going to preface this with: I read a lot of horror/thriller with the occasional high fantasy/scifi. I only read romance as a mental break to ease my soul from heavy things.

Fantasy romance was not on my list. I don’t know why. I’ve just never picked any up.

And then I read this book….
When I tell you.. I genuinely wasn’t expecting so much spice!!!!! I wasnt! 🤣🫣

Honestly.. It was so refreshing to see that our FMC was so damn mean. Haha! Most of the time in romance, even the fluffy ones WRITTEN BY WOMEN the FMCs are so submissive, and dumb. Our girl here was cussin everybody out and gave MMC a run for his money.
WE LOVE TO SEE IT!
That Cliffhanger? Jail. 🤣

Takeaway: I had a lot of fun reading this! If you want something that has a lot of funny banter, soft southern goth vibes, some spice, enemies to lovers? This is for you! I’d say it’s like Buffy the vampire slayer, and supernatural with romance elements!
For a debut novel Lexes did such a good job getting me immersed in this world and I can’t wait to read more!

just ok for me. very reminiscent of ACOTAR, but with less character development/building, world isn’t as fleshed out, ect.. very insta lovey. i think this would’ve benefited from being longer. with fantasy i feel like they need to be at least 350 pages so we can actually be invested in the characters/world. because i’m definitely not invested nor do i feel like i really *know* anything. with that being said, i thought it was a fun quick read and i’ll probably pick up the next book in the series bc i’m still intrigued. this was a debut and i feel it has potential to get good in the next few books.

Reminds me of Supernatural

This story reminds me of watching Supernatural. There's hunters, vampires, deamons in meat suits, and Nephilim. Brielle Corbin is out for revenge for her mother's murder killing any vampire she comes across. One day someone new comes into the bar and she can't stop thinking about him. Azrael is looking for someone that Lillith is on the hunt for sending her deamon children to the human realm searching for this person. There is a war coming between the fallen angels and deamons. There is also a war between fallen angels and humans. Azrael, his sister and brothers are scarred from part of their grace being removed as they fell from Heaven. When the deamons are killed their smoke leaves their meat suit like Supernatural. If you loved Supernatural you will love this story.

3.5? 4? I enjoyed the story, but had a hard time with all of the grammatical mistakes I saw. I had to stop paying attention and just try and go with it. I liked all the characters. It did end on a cliffhanger so, of course, I have to read the next.

First and foremost, I am so grateful for receiving an e-arc copy!

I am a big paranormal romance fan, so let’s just say that this book was right up my alley. It was definitely giving me the same vibes as Supernatural/Winchester Brothers with a female lead which I freaking loved.

Divine Wickedness follows the story of Brielle who hunts vampires and comes from a long line of vampire hunters. Along the way she meets Azra who piques her interest from the get-go and he soon flips her world upside down. She discovers things that she never thought were possible and faces reveals she never expected.

Lexes L. Saia did an amazing job with her debut novel which had unexpected turns and twists as well as a cliffhanger that left me wanting more! I absolutely loved Brielle and Azra together and I just couldn’t get enough of them. I am excited for the sequel and will definitely be reading it!

ARC Review- I saw the author posting about this book on social media it peeked my interest so signed up for an ARC.
Quick summary- We meet Brielle who has lost everyone except her step brother and best friend. She spends most of her time hunting down vampires (she comes from a line of hunters) who she blames for her family’s downfall. Just when you think this is the plot, in walks Azra to shake things up a bit and man does the plot thicken (in a good way)
I will not say anything more as that would ruin it.
What I will say is, this is a strong book for a debut Novel. I read this book in one day and could not put it down.
I need book 2 NOW because that ending…. Ughhhhh it was perfect.
I can not wait to read more from this author.
She has a bright, successful journey ahead of her!

This is a great breakout novel for the author and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to read the ARC. The story really drew me in and kept me guessing with every twist. The book released today and I already can’t wait for book 2!

Brielle is a wonderful kick-ass heroine who balances working her regular job and also protecting her town from vampires. Then there is Azra, aka Azrael, a fallen archangel who is the definition of tall, dark and broody 🤤. Ugh and the chemistry between the two of them sizzles right off the bat, and when they finally give in, whew baby it’s worth the wait 🥵. Highly recommend when you’re looking for a quick spicy read.

Overall, it was definitely a good book. It didn’t necessarily have me hooked to the point I couldn’t put it down, but I did enjoy it.

I am slightly confused with the whole “I suddenly have powers thing.” Was the necklace not only a protection thing but also a kryptonite type thing? The necklace was ripped off and suddenly she had powers? Not only that, but she knew how to use them?🤨 Yeah Okay.
And what the fuck is up with Caroline? No way Andrea knows who she really is. Caroline was burned to ash and Andrea grew up with Brielle.

I’m intrigued though, so I’ll read the next book when it comes out. Fingers crossed I remember!😅

Pretty good, but ends on a cliffhanger

So my friend purchased this for me, because it is Supernatural based. Supposed to have Demon Dean vibes. While I don’t see those myself, I did enjoy the book.
Although, I feel a bigger proofreading needs to be happening. It has many run on sentences, grammar and punctuation mistakes, and a few other issues.
I give the book 4 out of 5 stars. It is a slow burn romance, which probably 2 out of 5 levels of smuttiness. Good character development and easy to follow story.
I look forward to the next book.

Oooh how I've missed fallen angel books. This was a short and fun read. Honestly just very entertaining. There isn't a lot of world building and the world isn’t as fleshed out so just very easy to read. The love is kind of insta-lovey which I usually don't like but their banter was so funny and I ended up liking them as a couple. I appreciate that out FMC was so strong and skilled. She was not to be messed with. I am looking forward to reading the second book and hoping the author expands on the lore.

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars. This was my perfect book. I absolutely loved it.
A paranormal romance with excellent Spice. You will be obsessed with the characters. The FMC is amazing. I loved the vampire hunting supernatural vibes. Great writing, Great plot, Great spice,.... addiction making cliffhanger. I cannot wait for book 2 and I ran to amazon to buy a physical copy for my bookshelves! A New favorite book!

I bought this book because I love the Supernatural TV series, and was promised this was that vibe. it was, that being said not a good version of it. this book could have been awesome if it were longer and more heavily edited. the pacing is atrocious. the last fifty pages or so are decent but all happen way too fast, where as the first 150 pages slog on with very little important information. the concepts were there for this, I was left feeling very disappointed at the end though.

This story is about a fallen angel and the 'human' he plans to trade for peace in his realm. Best laid plans and all, you know things don't usually work out you intend. I really enjoyed the characters and the author's style. I was a bit confused at the beginning but all became clear by the end. I'm also hoping there will be more in this series. 4.5 stars from me.

Wow! This book captivated me from the beginning. There are some unexpected twists that made it so much better! It does leave off on a cliff-hanger though, so be prepared for that. I love how the story is told and how great the characters are. Cannot wait to read the next book, which I'm immediately jumping into! Definitely one of my top 10 reads so far.

A bit bummed tbh, I was enjoying the characters and plot intro at the beginning and then it all just started kinda going cheesy/completely unrealistic. It was like whiplash, went from a sort’ve enemies to completely in love within the span of an hour and then I felt like I was just playing catch up from there on. Really liked the concept, just was a bit bummed with execution.

This book was a TikTok find. Saying if u like the world of Supernatural and Dean Winchester this one is for! I got a lot of SPN vibes for sure, I enjoyed it! And am still not over the cliffhanger ending!
