This was an easy read and that is exactly what I wanted. Didn't take me long to read either. It was written in the 1940's and I appreciated that. The book is no big deal but it held my interest and actually took a slight sinister turn that I had not expected. Can't even remember where I purchased this book second hand. The author was able to write descriptively enough that I had definite pictures in my mind of the setting and the characters that were lightly entertaining.
