Clayton “Jet” Smith has enjoyed acting the part of rock star god bad boy since his breakup with rock goddess Valerie Quinn. He’s racking up quite a score playing the field, and he has no plans to settle down anytime soon. His biggest problem these days is meeting his obligations, because he’s so busy having fun, he forgets the important things.
To help him out, he hires recent graduate Emily Brinkman to be his personal assistant, and he quickly finds a fire burning in his belly for her. There are two problems, however. The first is that Emily is engaged to be married, a fact that leaves Jet unfazed. The second problem isn’t so easy to surmount, though. Emily is disgusted and unimpressed by both sides of the man.
Will Clay find a way to persuade Emily to try him out, not just for one night, but for all time?
Feverish moves the Bullet story forward. You don’t want to miss this one!
Jade C. Jamison writes steamy contemporary romance that’s full of heat, heartbreak, and hard rock. Known for emotionally raw rockstar romances, sizzling billionaire stories, and unforgettable second chances, Jade delivers passionate stories with fierce heroines and brooding heroes.
When she's not writing, she's jamming to metal, sipping strong coffee, or spoiling her pets and family. Whether set in small-town Colorado or on tour with a band, her books take readers on an intense, romantic ride—one story at a time.
“Jet and Clay are just two different sides of my personality. No, I don’t have a split personality, but the sides are sometimes distinctive. Clay? That’s me, the real me, who I am at the core. Jet is Clay on coke. He’s got brass balls and doesn’t take shit from anyone. He’s the only guy you’ll ever see onstage.”
I won’t deny it – this is the one I was waiting for! I fell for this bad-boy in Bullet; his double persona on and off the stage just did it for me. The Clay I love, and the Jet I worship did not disappoint. In-fact he exceeded all my expectations!
I now know the man and the rock star!
I know what makes Jet tick, and I know deep down that Clay is that sensitive young man who has been burnt not once, but twice, and is absolutely terrified of falling in love again. Considering how he’s been living his life since his split with Valerie Quinn, he’s not even sure if he wired that way anymore, as he reverts back to his man-whore ways. Everyone wants a piece of Jet, the lead guitarist of Last Five Seconds, and he’s more than happy to give it to them.
When the lights and music go out, Jet believes the neighbourhood is experiencing a power cut, until he clocks the final notice from the electric company, and comes to the realisation that he is actually crap at the mundane day-to-day living. With a pile of old mail strewn across his desk and boxes of paperwork in need of filing, his housekeeper, Mary, advises Clay to hire a personal assistant.
With an advert in the local paper, the résumé’s start to filter their way in, but after one failed interview, Clay is adamant he needs someone who also knows the rock/metal industry.
“Just because he doesn’t know who Alter Bridge or Sevendust are doesn’t mean he would be a bad personal assistant.” “Yeah, it fuckin’ would. What the hell would we talk about? <----- LOL! Gotta love this guy!
Then…in walks Emily Brinkman. A graduate with an MBA in business, and a fan of his music. With a few quick fire questions, Clay is sold. She’s perfect! There is just one problem, she’s hotter than hell and engaged. Oh well… Clay is more than happy to keep their relationship on a professional level, yet his alter-ego doesn’t give a shit if she’s engaged or not. She’s smart and cute, and keeps him in check. But more importantly, she is nothing like the other girls he has been spending his time with, of late.
Emily’s fiancé, Bryce is globetrotting around Europe in the summer break, so she has no choice but to find an apartment of her own. The problem is, Clay lives in an expensive part of town. To help with this situation, Clay offers her a spare room, after all, he doesn’t need all that space, and it makes perfect sense considering they will be working together. Emily begrudgingly accepts his kind offer.
When Bryce distances himself from Emily, she knows something is greatly amiss in their relationship. She really likes Clay and loves what he does, even though he’s a slob around the house, lives on junk food and keeps her awake playing music and watching porn late into the night.
Then… everything changes when Emily’s relationship is thrown into disarray. Clay is there to help pick up the pieces, while Jet wants nothing more than to help her forget the douchebag boyfriend. There is just one problem… as their relationship escalates into ‘unprofessional’ territory; Clay and Jet become one of the same as they both fall for the sweet graduate who has her life-plan mapped out. He just hopes she is willing to forego old habits and take a little detour in a new direction…with him.

I am throwing up my horns, people!
Feverish…? More like, ‘Spontaneous Human Combustion.’ I’m burning up over here. Clay/Jet is one HOT rock star!
Clay and Emily's story had great pace that made for another ‘believable’ romance between two people looking for something more... He is the real deal, ladies! Jade C Jamison reigns supreme as my undisputed literary rock star goddess. I absolutely love this series, and I love Jade! \m/
Even though Feverish pushes the Bullet story forward, Clay’s book is very character driven. Don’t expect much interaction from other band members and pivotal characters in the series, because you won’t find it. That is what I love about these books, like Ethan’s story in Rock Bottom, you could potentially read them as a standalone, although I wouldn’t recommend it. Start at the beginning with ‘Bullet’ and savour this musical journey with characters that will rock your world.
Mmmmmm I'm feeling a little feverish... I knew I loved Jet, I loved Jet when he showed Val what a real man was like....loved him when he proved to be the sex god he truly is. But now I'm not just hot for Jet, I'm head over heels in love with Clay. This book shows you a side to Clay that you only have a small glimpse of earlier in this series. You know Jet is a good guy but he's a sexy rock god out to have fun, live hard and f#ck harder. Clay is caring, sweet and sensitive and believes the only way to protect his heart is to hide behind his Jet persona. But he finds it hard to hide his behind the mask when it comes to his new PA. Emily starts working for Clay with the prejudice that he's a spoiled rock star, but soon sees the real man inside the rock god. Emily's "fiancé" or rather douche boy, creates an obstacle for these two to deny the insane chemistry between them....but that only last so long. Once explored there is no denying the physical connection they share that quickly grows into something much more. This book was sexy, fun and heartwarming. I love Jade's characters and Jet was always one that stole my heart. So glad to get his HEA!
Awwwwwwwww!!! Oh my sweet love and holy hotness!! This book is sooooo amazingly beautiful and just hot!! Fills your heart with happiness!!! Seriously the exact perfect recipe of bad boy hot hot hot and incredibly sweet and lovey tenderness!!
I loved Jet in Bullet #1. I really felt for him when Valerie left him and was excited to get to know him more in his own book! It became apparent at the beginning that Jet had two sides to him. Not only did we get ‘Jet’ the rock star guitarist in the heavy metal band, Last Five Seconds, who was cocky, full of life, confident, sexy and full of tattoos and piercings. We also got ‘Clay’ the normal guy underneath the brashness who was caring, thoughtful, protective, giving and sensitive. Clay seemed to hide behind ‘Jet’ when he couldn’t deal with his feelings but sensitive Clay was always lurking just under the surface of his bad boy persona needing someone to love him for who he was, both sides of him. When Jet hired Emily to be his personal assistant I don’t think she knew what hit her! There was a lot to him and what she saw shocked and intrigued her. Emily came across as professional, cool and intelligent but as we got to know her, a quite naïve, sweet and trusting side began to show. The two of them together had a great connection with each other which made for a lot of sizzling sex scenes; I’m fanning myself just remembering them! I did feel frustrated at times, wanting them to communicate better but a bit of frustration often makes for a good book so I will forgive them! “I know you said you were engaged. Clay will respect that…but if you want a real man who’ll treat you right, Jet doesn’t give a fuck if you’re engaged, married, or a nun.” I also loved the relationship between Jet and his housekeeper, Mary. Their affection and respect for each other was clear and really sweet. I was a little disappointed that although the end was brilliant and how I wanted it to finish, it did end quite abruptly. I would have liked to have known a little more than how it was left, but that’s only my opinion because I’m a sucker for a gushy Epilogue, so I will just use my imagination to continue the story (unless we get a Novella?!). The next book in the series will be taking us back to Brad in the days before Valerie came into his life, titled Fully Automatic (Bullet #4). I can’t wait!
I think Jade C Jamison is my new author obsession. The woman is a freaking amazing writer and boy does she get hot and sexy across well! Having loved the first two books in the Bullet series I was so ridiculously excited waiting for Feverish.
I have to say the book rocked, literally!!! Feverish is exactly what it was. Clay "Jet" Smith's story was the one I was secretly waiting for and I wasn't disappointed. Having had his heart crushed by unreciprocated love twice before Clay was happy simply living on an emotional diet of music and porn that was until Emily Brinkman came into his life.
Clay's disorganised life gets the better of him and he eventually agrees to appoint a PA (oh, if only I could get a gig like that) to sort his chaotic life out. In walks Emily, fresh from graduating with a BA and waiting for her fiancé to return from Europe, Emily accepts Clay’s offer of employment and settles in to working for a rock star. Despite Clay’s obvious attraction to Emily he respects her boundaries but does offer her “Jet” his sexy bad-boy persona should she ever need him.
This book was a nice, uncomplicated read which focussed on two characters getting to know each other and themselves. Clay and Jet were truly special and Emily’s relationship with both characters was captivating. What I did love about Feverish was that Jade didn’t rush through scenes, especially the sex scenes which built with delicious abandon. I loved that there was a HEA and nothing was left unanswered. Bullet #4 brings more of Brad but in the meantime I’m off to read Tangled Web to feed my new fixation with Jade’s books!!!!
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review I give this book 5 HOT ROCKER Stars. I love bad boy rockers!!!
We first meet Jet/Clay in Bullet when he is the love interest for Val for a little bit. I know you loved him then but you will for sure love him more now. I know I loved him a lot from Bullet but this one just made him that much more. This is book 3 in the series, BUT can definitely be read as a stand alone.
Jet is amazing and gorgeous and just WOW!! He is also a man whore! Who wakes up with different women in his bed all the time. He is the bad boy rocker guitarist from the band Last Five Seconds. The only thing he is not is organized, when his electric goes off because he failed to pay the bill his band mate and friend suggests that he get a Personal Assistant. From there he puts an add in the paper with the help from his amazing housekeeper and sets off to interview people to see who would best fit his life. He knows what he wants,( even when his housekeeper tells him to keep an open mind and not choose the first woman that is good looking) but he is going with his gut on this one (it paid off when he picked his housekeeper). So, when Emily walks in for her interview he just know she is the one for the job.
Emily is looking for a summer job before she has to start her "real" job with her fiances Bryce's father. Bryce is on a summer trip with his friends backpacking across Europe so he is gone for the whole summer. So she has her summer free and answers the add for an assistant to a rock star!
The connection between these two is instant. Clay is such a good guy and he just needs someone to see it, he needs someone he can trust so his walls will come down and they can see someone besides just the rocker behind that guitar.
Emily is definitely that girl, yet at first she sees what every other person does. A bad ass rocker that might be a little spoiled and unorganized. But she gives him the chance to get to know her and to prove that he is not the guy she believes he is. They are friends at first and even tho the attraction is strong they don't give into it. She is engaged after all. Also he is definitely the guy that she always falls for and to her that is just not logical in the life that she wants. The sparks she feels are just that sparks they can't be real. She has never felt this way before and it scares her. But she stays faithful. Until the day when Emily is on Skype with Bryce and learns something that will change her life forever. She gives in. She goes to "Jet" and tells him she wants him and he doesn't even second guess it he jumps.
I love that these two don't see that if they get involved sexually they are not going to be able to be without each other, that their bond that they feel towards each other is just going to get deeper. They compliment each other, they are electric, and they can't keep their hands off each other even when they say "One time" ... It doesn't work. Emily is like no other girl that he has ever been with, and he likes that. And when Emily is with him she is happy, and feels things that she has never felt with anyone else. But what happens when Bryce comes back and wants Emily back? Will Emily take him back or will she give Clay the chance that he wants? And can Clay soften his heart enough to let someone else in? He is use to being with girls when he is Jet but he has only ever been with two girls when he is Clay.
I love the part in the book when Emily finally says there is really not a difference between the two of you Clay. You are both Jet and Clay to me a little bit of both. And I love that. Emily sees more in him then the groupies do. And that helps him to drop his guard.
And Emily is a business woman that is waiting for a job that she is not going to enjoy. But she thinks that is the next step in her life to make. And she doesn't feel those sparks with Bryce, but she also feels to be happy in a life with the white house and the 2. 5 kids etc.. she will have to just be happy and settle for what she has. So when the sparks fly with Clay it scares her because she is not use to feeling this way.
This book is electric, and will capture you the moment you start reading, Jet and Clay are both such amazing men.(yes i know they are one person!) He is such a good guy and that is rare for rockers. But he has a heart that is big and beautiful and is just waiting to be loved by the right woman. Emily is just the woman that both sides of this man needs! You will laugh, and you will swoon, and you will be in flames by the time you are done with this book. You get to see Jet's past and his hurts. And you get to fall in love with him all over again. When it ends you will be screaming for more. I know I did.
Thank you Jade for an amazing book once again! You are so talented and I look forward to reading your next book!!! <3
Ooooooooooooooooooomg! I may have died and gone to rocker heaven with this book! Clay/Jet is amazing in this book. If you think you liked him in Bullet, you will LOVE him in this.
This is him and Emily's story. Clay is a rocker play boy in the start of this book. Between creating music and sleeping around there isn't much time for anything else. His home life in a mess. Which he doesn't get the full idea of until his Electric is cut off. No not because he hasn't got the money, just because he in so unorganized no bill's are been paid. So his friend gives him the bright idea to hire a P.A and let someone else deal with all the day to day boring things. So that's what he does, with the help of Mary his housekeeper he places and add and sits back and waits for the applications to roll in. He only wanted a P.A,but he got soooo much more then that. Enter Emily Brinkman.
Emily Brinkman is just finishing up her college degree. And doesn't no what to do with herself. She has a job set up if she wants it in august, but for now she's at a loose end and wants to try something different. SO when she see's the add for a P.A needed she takes the jump and sends off her C.V. She knew her boss would be a rocker. She got that much from the add about the job. But she wasn't expecting her new boss to be Clay Smith! Of course she knew who he was. After all she had been in college not living under a rock. But even thought he's this mega superstar rocker she gets on well with him in the interview. And passes Marys test with flying colors. So she's offered the job,and after a night to mull it over she accepts.
She agrees to start a week or so later because she still has to find a place to live after leaving her college flat. That wasn't a hint for a place to stay. But of course Clay/Jet jump's at the chance to have her in his house and offer's her one of his many spare rooms. Which she accepts......so yeah she gonna be living with a rock star(SQUEEEEEE).
They actually live well together. Other then him been a night owl and her been a morning person. There perfect living partners. And the job is great. Then come's the travelling part. Clay/Jet's band has a gig so she's going with him for the three days of course. Been his P.A and all. But Clay/Jet overhear's something he shouldn't while there away. Something very private between Emily and her fiance threw skype. Oh yeah by the way she has a fiance! He's travelling Europe before the real life needs to start. And I HATE him. He humilliate's Emily that night and Clay/Jet overhears and confronts her and tell's her he doesn't deserve her. AND he offer's her a night with Jet.
Now here's the Clay/Jet thing. YES Clay and Jet are the same person/ Clay is Jet and Jet is Clay. No he doesn't have a split personality. Jet is his way of dealing with certain sides of his life. A defense way to deal. Jet is also his dominant side. And clay is his loving side. BOTH the same person, and closer then even Clay/Jet know's. So he offer's her a night wit Jet. Because Clay wouldn't touch her been engaged. BUT Jet wouldn't care. He's take what he wanted with not a care for the other bloke.
So Emily has SOME choice to make. To me the choice would be easy. HELL YEAH to a night with Jet. Don't gotta ask me twice. BUT he didn't ask me,he asked our girl Emily. And her feeling for him are all over the place as it is. She does like him,but she's with someone. But then he has to offer it up to her on a plate. So one night when something goes down with her partner and it ends she literally jump's into Jets arm's. This one night though will change them. Change everything for good. I really need to shut up now and let you's read the book and find things out for yourself's. But I already know you's will Love it like I did. And you will fall hard for Clay/Jet. He is the perfect mix of everything! Here's to another amazing book by Jade C. Jaminson! :)
When the Feverish ARC showed up in my email for review, my heart stuttered a little. Jade Jamison’s Bullet series is one of my favorite rock star reads, so I know I’ll get the best writing in the genre. She doesn’t disappoint me. Feverish has a different flavor than the rest of the books. It’s a bit more quiet and introspective than Bullet and Rock Bottom, the first two books in this series.
Clay/Jet is fully indulging on the rock and roll lifestyle. Waking up with a random groupie with bolt on boobs and bottle blonde hair after a coke binge seems to be par for the course. After waking up to another night of debauchery and the practical things in life being ignored, Clay decides he needs an assistant to help him straighten out his life. Convincing his loyal and exasperated maid Mary to help him find someone, he hires the one person who he probably shouldn’t, Emily Brinkman. She’s the exact opposite of the women in Clay/Jet’s life. She educated, conservative and naturally beautiful. But because he’s a hot blooded male, he wants her!
Emily is at a crossroads in her life. She’s graduating from college and deciding what she wants to do with her future. Engaged to man she feels is the safe and predictable choice, Emily is very cynical about love and marriage. When she comes across the opportunity to take a temporary job as a assistant for a rock star, she take it. Little does she realize that her preconceived notions about a hard living rock star will be challenged along with her heart.
Feverish’s plot is a bit more laid back than Bullet and Rock Bottom. The book focuses on two people seemingly stereotyped into a life they are plodding through. Writing in third person, Jade give the read a deep and descriptive understanding of what is going on in Clay and Emily’s mind. The reader sees Clay try to work his on-stage persona Jet into his regular life, with mixed results. You empathize with Emily as she is struggling with the expectations of a frustrating relationship with her fiance and getting a responsible job to pay the bills. Jade also provides a strong back story, an absolute must for if you want to solidly connect with the characters.
The secondary characters are well-written and move the story along nicely. Mary, Clay’s housekeeper, is very loyal and mothers him, which I thought was very sweet. Emily’s fiance Bryce is a real jerk off. In one particular scene, Bryce does something to Emily that made me so angry, I had to put the book down and walk away for a few minutes. I particularly enjoyed the hilarious scene at the very beginning of the book with Clay/Jet and the bimbo groupie he has to get rid of after a night of overindulgence. Jade nailed that scene with awkward situations and hilarious banter.
The sexual chemistry between Clay and Emily starts off slow at the beginning. They both are fighting the attraction they have for each other, thinking it’s wrong to feel this way. But when they finally give into their lust, WOWZA! Jade pays great attention to every touch, kiss, and emotion that Clay and Emily feel together. She builds the sexual tension slowly, letting the characters build a great connection before sealing the deal.
Feverish is another great book by Jade Jamison. While it’s not as fast paced as your typical rock star read, it’s introspective and thoughtful. She completely understands the human element to these “rock stars” and successfully writes a beautiful story with deep emotion and honesty. Usually I prefer a stand alone book that wraps up the book in a nice neat package. I don’t feel this way about Feverish. I believe Clay and Emily story isn’t finished. I’d love to see another book or novella to continue their story. I loved Feverish and I give it 5 out of 5 stars!
Where to start with Jet/Clay? We first met Jet/Clay in Bullet when he and Val were dating. I was always interested in finding out more about his story and now we've got it!
After Clay's electricity gets shut off because he simply forgot to pay the bill, his bandmate, Brian, suggests he get a personal assistant to help keep track of those little details that just seem to slip through his fingers. After a few interviews, with people he doesn't feel are right for the job, in walks Emily Brinkman.
'This woman-she was his water, his life. She was everything.'
She is attractive and there is something about her that makes both Jet and Clay happy. After she takes the job the connection between Emily and Clay gets stronger and stronger. Jet is more than happy to take is to the next level but Clay respects the fact that she is engaged. Time begins to wear on all of them and one fateful conversation changes everything.
I loved getting to know Clay better. I thought that he was a good guy in Bullet and that was further enforced in Feverish. I was happy to learn about his past, his ex-wife, and how Jet came to be. This book made me fall a little more in love with him than I already had been. He was hot and sweet and so incredibly sexy. I really wouldn't mind having a little Jet or Clay!
"Emily Brinkman, I love you. Okay? I love you, and if you don't love me back, my life will go on, but I can't go any longer without telling you. Not telling you would be a mistake. If telling you winds up being a mistake, at least it's one I can live with."
Emily sometimes was quite frustrating to me. I hated that she just wanted to do whatever she was 'supposed' to do, with no consideration of what she actually wanted. I was happy to see her grow and become her own person throughout the course of the book.
There were times that I just wanted to slap both characters and tell them to open their eyes to see what was right in front of them. But there were others where I knew that if things happened any different than they did that nothing would have worked out well. In the end I was very happy with the exact course that Clay and Emily's story took. It was hot and sexy and frustrating and so sweet. Everything that a relationship is.
"You were supposed be to the guy who fizzled out, you know? The passion was supposed to fade, or you were supposed to turn into a dick or something, but..." Clay saw tears well up in her eyes again. "But you're still here, and I still care."
Feverish is book 3 in the Bullet series, by Jade C. Jamison. If you haven't, and have no intention to, read the first two books, Bullet & Rock Bottom, then it can be read as a stand alone. There is not much that you need to know from those books, that isn't revisited in Feverish. However, if you do want to read the entire series, definitely start at the beginning.
If you like rockstar books then this is a definite must for you. In fact I strongly suggest that you read the entire series. They are all excellent books and make you see the person behind the persona. I love this series and can not wait for the next book, Fully Automatic, which is Brad's story. It is currently scheduled to be out next May.
'I don't love easily, but I love hard. And it's a forever kind of love.'
“She felt better just because of the way he was looking at her. She knew what she needed. She could feel her heart thudding in her chest, but she had to force the words out of her mouth. “I, uh… I need to talk to Jet.”
.
Lead guitarist from Last five second’s, 32-year-old Clay “Jet “Smith is not the marrying kind. Having been dubbed “fucktastic” by groupies, Jet knows he’s good In bed, and well his equipment isn’t anything to be ashamed of either, thinks maybe it’s time to stop bringing home groupies and partying hard every night. However, after his breakup with Val Quinn he hasn’t found anyone who can tame the beast inside of him.
Emily Brinkman comes from a middle class family. Her mother was killed in a car accident and her” kind of” Fiancé is no longer her cup of tea. The spark fizzled a long time ago but he’s a safe bet. The two are night and day, Him coming from a well to do family having both a brother and sister, where as she has only her Father. Having learned at a young age that it was better to leave her heart out of the matter and instead focus on what the relationship could do for her life.
Clay is spiraling out of control, he knows her needs to get his shit together, and fast, so at the suggestion of his housekeeper he puts an ad in the paper. Almost out of school with a MBA in Business management, Emily needs a job that she won’t feel bad about leaving in 6 months to a year, seeing the add in the paper for an assistant to a rock star couldn’t be more perfect.
At first sight Emily knows Jet is the” Anti-Bryce a man, who makes her feel hot, makes her feel like a woman, and who could bring her to her knees.”
After reading multiple resumes, Clay is exhausted, and feeling as if he should just make this decision on instinct, the same way he picked his housekeeper. Until he comes across Emily Brinkman’s…
“In person, this young lady showed that she really was intelligent and personable, and Clay might have been okay with that. After all, Clay was a nice guy. Jet, on the other hand… Jet was a force to be reckoned with. Most people who didn’t know the guitarist of Last Five Seconds assumed that Jet was simply a stage name, a cool description for the guy whose fingers seemed to fly around his fretboard like it was child’s play. It wasn’t, though. Clay didn’t have two personalities, but he did have two distinct sides.”
After agreeing to take the job, and to move into his home temporarily, the two seem to fall into an easy routine, but just underneath the surface both of them feel a surprising attraction.
I don’t want to give you spoilers as to what happens next, but I will tell you that Ms. Jamison can write one of the steamiest, hottest, clench your thighs scenes, and I loved every one of them;) Emily is the perfect woman for Clay, and well Clay, he’s one of those supporting characters in a book that you can’t help but fall in love with! I can tell you after reading Bullet I was a little disappointed that Val and Clay didn’t stay together, but reading Feverish has definitely made me rethink that.
Getting to know Clay and “Jet” was quite the experience and I must say I loved every second of it! If you Haven't read this book yet go snag it, you won't regret it!!
I received this book by the author for an honest review.
First off I have to say I fell in love with Clay/Jet from the first time we were introduced to him in Bullet. There was something about him that just stole my heart. I have been waiting for his story ever since. My fellow TT blogger girls have their own favorites but I’m not too happy to hear them tell me if their guy messes up they are running to Clay/Jet….NOT COOL ladies NOT COOL.
Clay is the kind hearted wants to help you if he can kind of guy. In order to protect his heart, that has been torn to shreds on occasion, has Jet who is his bad ass don’t care what you think kind of guy. Emily was just graduating with her masters in business and wanted to find a job little did she know it was going to be getting a rock star organized. I loved seeing how Clay and Mary, his housekeeper, interacted one of my favorite quotes from her was when he decided he needed to hire a PA and he assumed she would be doing the interviews and hiring her response: “NO, tonto. You’ll do the interviews.” I could just see the look on his face, the look of really she isn’t going to do this for me I’m going to have to.
Emily was engaged to one of the biggest DB around. You will see for yourself the hotel scene had me fighting mad right along with Emily. If I could have jumped into a book and took someone out it would have been him. After it all went down this is what Clay had to say: “That guy has no idea how to treat a lady.” How can you not love a guy like that? I love that Clay can be all heartfelt and loving one second and then unleash Jet and be well JET the next. Just read and you will see. From there Wow did things heat up! Jet did not disappoint that is for sure.
Can I say I knew he was in love with Val in Bullet but I had no idea he was that in love with her. I wanted to crawl in to the book and curl up next to Clay when he laid his heart on the line and told Emily his story about his past loves. Here is one of my favorite realizations that Emily came to: “her blood hadn’t boiled with him (Bryce). The hair on her arms hadn’t even stood on end, hoping to feel his touch. Hell, she hadn’t dampened many panties with the guy even; Clay, on the other hand, had infected her with deep desire, and she couldn’t deny it.”
I loved the fact that Clay tried to bring Jet forward to protect himself but somehow Clay always came thru. He couldn’t fool Emily, her dad, or Mary for that matter they always seem to see what was going on. Just proves my initial thought of Clay/Jet was right on. Y’all can have your Daddy Brad, Ethan, and whoever else but I will stick with my Clay/Jet no matter what. He is a kind loving sole with the a little bad boy in him, I get the best of both worlds.
I received this as an ARC from the author and let me tell you... I LOVE CLAY! <3 I'll post a full review once the book goes Live for all........
my FULL REVIEW... Clay/Jet did exactly what the titles says....he made me FEVERISH! I was in love from the words "I, Uh need to talk to Jet" and this was at the very beginning...... Hook, Line and Sinker!
Jade's style of writing shouldn't be classified as a certain type. She has her own style. She may not go full blown erotica on us, but this lady can make your panties wet writing the kind of hot steamy sex scenes that she writes!
This isn't going to be some long, drawn out review. We all have those authors who we just see their names and just F'ing KNOW the book will be good. Well, Jade is one of those authors on my list. I am not the best at writing reviews sometimes, because I DON'T DO SPOILERS! So, I often find it hard to discuss a book without letting some kind of important information slip and having that ruin it for the next reader. They need to be just as surprised and fall in love just as much as me on their own.
With that being said, Jade takes us on a journey where we see exactly who Clayton "Clay/Jet" Smith is. He is this gentle, sweet, loving, caring man. Who often fights with his "alter ego" Jet.... Now I personally fell in love with Jet when in Bullet he showed Val "what a real man was like" ;) Now let's be honest for a moment, Jet is a ROCK STAR and he is a sexy rock star who is only out to have fun with no commitments. You know - live hard and F'ck Harder! And boy can Jet do just that.... anyway.... I KNEW then that I wanted Jet to have his own story. What I didn't know was that I would fall in love with Clay. He is torn up about losing Valerie to one of his best friends. We don't see in Bullet just how in Love with Val he really is and in this one we learn of that. We also learn of his "first love" and hearing of this "first love" explains a bit of why he is the way he is. He completely forgets to manage his everyday affairs and basically needs to hire an assistant.
Enters Emily. He quickly feels a pull towards her and once the "interview" is done he knows she is the one. She's a recent college grad, smart, witty, knows his style of music, beautiful, and engaged.... to a real A**HOLE.... The chemistry between Clay and Emily is spot on and we go on a journey of a blossoming friendship turned relationship. The sex is HOT and there are plenty of melt your heart moments between them. Clay is a real sweetheart. No matter how many times Clay tried to be Jet... Emily could see Clay in there.
I want MORE Of their relationship. I don't feel like their story is over. This was another AMAZING story by the AMAZING Jade!
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
So I am going to make a big time announcement...can someone please hold my fellow blogger
Melinda back? Thanks...ok here goes....Should Daddy Brad make me mad and we break up, I am sooo running to Clay/Jet!!! Again , please keep Melinda still for me ok cuz she is not going to like reading that!!
So I have to admit I was THRILLED to read this book. I loved Jet/Clay and what he did to help my girl Val out during the book Bullet. Jet was the perfect "distraction" that Val needed. He helped teacher her alot about herself and her wants/needs. So I was thrilled to finally see him get his HEA.
Clay is a wonderful, sensitive man who uses his Jet persona to hide his true self. Emily is able to see the "real" Clay and she loved everything she sees in him...she is a smitten girl but she has one big problem. She is engaged to a DB!! The crap her fiance puts her through is astounding!!! I mean just wait til you read the hotel scene!!! I was livid for her and Clay wasn't a happy camper either. BUT that scene is what makes the Jet/Clay and Emily connection begin. I loved him for what he says to her after she fights with the fiancee.....THUD for sure......*fanning myself*
I will say that with every Jade book I have read, I get ready for the high level of angst. I am ready with tissues and tums. I know I will be mega stressed out. This book, however, had a totally different vibe. Don't get me wrong, the book kicked solid ass and I was getting angry at the DB Fiancee but....this book was full of heart. Now, don't get all crazy on me and say her other books didn't have heart and flowers but Clay and his emotional side REALLY shines through. He is such a wonderful hero. I really and truly had a new appreciation and love for him after reading. When he bares his soul to Emily about his past relationships, I just wanted to hug him. I wanted to crawl in his lap and snuggle with him. He is a man of experience..snickers...but he is soooooo "innocent" at matters of the heart.....SWOON.......
Ok so the naughty times between Jet/Clay and Emily were awesome and hot...like you would expect anything different right? So if you are a Bullet fan then I really don't need to convince you to read this book. If you haven't read Bullet, please do and then read Ethan's book Rock Bottom before reading Jet/Clay's book......
I just finished Feverish and Jade had definitely pulled out of the park for me yet again! This is the 3rd in the series and you could actually read this as a stand alone but why in the heck would you do that. You would miss out on so much let alone it being an awesome series. This one is about Clay AKA Jet. He is from Bullet, he had dated Val and had fell in love but because things were not right and it was just easier to be friends, they had broken up. This is now his story. He has been going through the motions of being a rock star that he as forgotten the important things in life, like paying his bills. He finally sees that this has got to be taken care of hires a personal assistant. This would be Emily. She is engaged and takes the job so she can start paying off her loans but what starts out as a job turns into something more than what Clay and Emily bargained for. What will happen when the lines are crossed? You will have to read and see.
I just love this series. Anything that Jade writes is just gold to me. I love her style and her men. Clay is sexy, tattooed, pierced and just freaking hot! You can not even go wrong here. He has some trust issues and because he felt better on stage, decided to go back Jet. Off stage he is Clay, just saying that they are both damn sexy. I honestly couldn't choose and why would I even want to do that? Emily, I love this girl. She is complete opposite from him and I felt bad for her. She is basically in a loveless engagement with Bryce and things turn sour between them and I do not blame her. He was a douche that didn't even deserve her. I just love how she wants both Clay and Jet because you cannot have one without the other. They chemistry between them is on fire and it just burns the pages.
One thing I loved most about this was that is was just basically them. Not saying I do not like to read about their bands but because they were on hiatus it was just him at home and we got to see the real him. He does bring out Jet when the need arises though!
Honestly, this is a series you do not want to miss out on. Its hot, sexy, and real. You have to get this one, you will regret it if you do not.
I have definitely spiked a fever with this book! “Feverish”, the third book in the Bullet series, takes a break from the guys of Fully Automatic. This time we take a side trip into the life of Clayton “Jet” Smith. When we last saw Clay his band Last Five Seconds had just made it big and now he is living the rock star life. Amid the chaos of touring, recording, and partying he realizes that he needs some organization in his life. Enter Emily Brinkman, a recent college graduate, looking to fill her summer with an interesting job before she begins her new career in the corporate world. At first it seems as though Clay and Emily have nothing in common, but soon enough their similarities come out.
In previous books I had a hard time taking Clay seriously. He seemed a little strange with his continuous talk about Clay and Jet being two different personalities. It seemed almost silly. With this book we see what goes on behind the mask and what brought about the “split” in him. He soon became one of my favorite characters. Clay had a vulnerability and sensitivity that was unexpected and balanced well with the swagger that is Jet. Jamison did an outstanding job of merging two very distinct characters into one man.
Emily was a bit of a wild card for me. There were times I questioned her sense of self in her dealings with her fiancé. In the end she came through and wised up, but I feel like it took her a little longer than it should have.
Once again, Jamison proves to be a master of character development. Few authors have the ability to truly live inside the head of their characters but she does it in spades. At the end of each book I feel like I really know them and actually traveled their journey with them. I’m anxiously awaiting the next book of this series and can’t wait to see where Jamison takes us next!
*I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*
I received an ARC by the author for an honest review. I have to say, I absolutely love Jade and her rocker boys, and was hoping for Jet’s story, and boy did she deliver! Clay aka Jet is a bad boy with a heart of gold, and he proves there’s always two sides to the story, or the man in his case. We got a glimpse of him in Bullet (the first book in this series) and I loved his bad boy side (Jet) as well as his good guy side (Clay). Being the sexy rock god he is, he never truly puts his trust in women, seeing how they usually want him for his rock god status and what he can give to them. Val changed that in him, and I really liked them together, but we knew it was an inevitable break up.
Since his break up with Val, Jet hasn’t really pursued anything serious, leading to his never-ending trysts with groupies. But the good guy inside him wants more, and has maybe found it in Emily, his new personal assistant. At first, Emily doesn’t think too highly of him, only seeing the over bearing, womanizing rock star that Jet portrays to the public. Clay on the other hand, wants Emily to see the caring, sweet side he hides away.
Emily is your all American girl, with the seemingly perfect life and charming fiancé. We soon find out things aren’t as perfect as they seem, and she’s really stuck in a situation she wants out of. The sexual tension and chemistry between Jet and Emily is hard to deny, but the fact that she has a fiancé puts a halt to things before they start. Eventually, there’s no stopping the overwhelming connection between the two of them. All in all, Jet is a good guy and deserves his HEA, and we can only hope things work out for him and Emily, because I really love them as a couple. I also love that Emily is a total rock chick trapped in a plain Jane’s body…lol…and we know that Jet can bring that sexy side out in no time!
Book 3 in the Bullet series is all about Clayton "Jet" Smith. We first met Jet as a bad boy rock star from BULLET, that Val becomes friends with and eventually starts dating. Unfortunately for Jet and Val, it just wasn't meant to be. Jet's character in Bullet was a bit of a mystery. You weren't quite sure what to make of him... He had a sexy, and somewhat cocky exterior, but you could tell that there was more to Jet than meets the eye. We needed to know MORE, and Jade definitely delivered!
In FEVERISH, Jet's life is an unorganized mess. In the hopes of getting himself back on track, he hires a Personal Assistant (Enter Emily Brinkman). Clay is instantly attracted to Emily, but has convinced himself that no woman could love the man behind the mask, and so he wears his "Jet armour" in order to prevent himself from being hurt. Emily is torn between what she really wants and what she should want. She has her life planned out and knows that a bad boy rock star is not good for her. After some "technical" difficulties, and getting to know the REAL Clayton Smith, she realizes that what she shouldn't want might just be exactly what she needs.
FEVERISH is probably my absolute favorite book in the series, so far. I say so far, because every book in the series seems to be better than the last, and since I've thought they were all fantastic, that's saying something! I LOVE that we get to see Jet's sweet and vulnerable side that is Clay. I LOVE that we get to see Clay realize that he IS worthy of someone's love. I LOVE that Jet gets his happy ending with someone who understands and appreciates him for HIM and not his rock star persona.
Thank You to Jade for writing such an awesome book! I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us! :)
Emily was also a sweetie, she was a tough cookie, but had a real soft centre.
What a stinking dreadful self centred man Bryce was, who did he think he was! Thinking he could swan off to Europe leaving Emily behind, and not think she wouldn't suspect anything, let alone get himself caught out. Although she had few feelings for him, she really wasn't distraught, and when they had phone sex with his friends listening in.
Clay heard her whilst she was on the phone and thought it was hot!
I love how they both had really strong feelings for each other, and respectfully held off! Clay wanting Em to make the first move. She did and we get a glimpse of how their feelings began to grow, they both fell quite hard.
I loved the interview, thought Mary was fab, she knew there was chemistry just waiting to be tapped.
I loved how Emily saw through Clay/Jet's both sides, and fell for him warts an all! She settled into working as his PA quite quickly.
They got on really well from the start, I thing it was a done deal that they were heading towards a relationship, Clay was very patient, he knew how he felt for Emily, just had to convince her that's what she wanted too!
The emotions were all over the place, but when Emily and Clay got down vans dirty, the sexual tension and then chemistry oozed from the page.
Really enjoyed getting to know Clay, what a genuine bloke, they really deserve happiness.

My Review 5 crowns Clay Smith has allowed his Jet persona to take over his life. He is a man-whore who can’t even remember the name of the current groupie in his bed… or to pay the bills. His wonderful maid advises him to hire a personal assistant. Enter Emily, newly engaged, newly graduated, and completely off-limits. Emily reorganizes his personal office, establishes his social media presence, and re-ignites his heart. Can he convince her to give him a chance?
This is the third book in the Bullet series. It can stand alone, but, as I was advised, I also advise you to read them all and in order. Clay/Jet is panty-melting hot! He is tattooed, pierced, and sexily alpha. The day I finished reading this book was also my son’s 25th birthday. The only person I know who has the viper piercings, like Clay, is my son’s friend Liz. During the party, I was talking to Liz and all I could think about was kissing Clay and it made me do the random giggle. I couldn’t tell her that!
I love this series so much that I purchased all three books for my friend Pat as her Christmas gift. She just has to remember that I saw him first, so Clay is MINE!
O.M.G, this book was so fabulous, I did not want it too finish.
Who could not resist a Rock star romance.
Kindly given to me by Jade for an honest review.
Clayton fell head line and sinker for Emily FAST, but how could he show her how much she really meant to him as she belonged to another,
Well you guessed it he wrote her a song, it had power, it had beauty, it had intensity, and to Clayton it expressed everything that was Emily.
Although Emily did not know it was her song, every time she heard him piecing it together it, her ears instantly reacted and the hair on the back of her neck stood on end, it simply gelled with her, and when he finally played it for her, it had her weak at the knees, and her body felt like sky rockets were going off inside her.
Emily soon realised that her current boyfriend was an absolute pig who did not love or respect her so she carefully protects herself by getting rid of him, and falling straight into Clayton's arms.
This book is totally un put down able, I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, and I cannot wait to read more from Jade.
Thanks for letting me read this Jade 4.5 Stars from me.
Im in love with Clay !! Well Jet too but wow Clay !!
I was so very excited about the Jet/Clay character in Bullet... I just loved him and I actually thought he would be it for Val...
Thank goodness that did not happen !!
So what we know of Clay/Jet is that he is the typical bad boy rocker....he can be nice...and loving but beyond the little glimpses we had we did not really KNOW him at all. So now we get to really know him...how he lives...what happened in his past....that hes a slob that he is very unorganized and useless when it comes to his life basically !! TYPICAL MALE :)
So not only does he have his savior Mary that keeps the house and acts almost as a mom but in comes Emily...
Thankfully she is not the shy, innocent naïve girl.... With an ass for a fiancé and a hugs debt from school she is thinking of going down the boring job path to get by and pay her way...this will also tie her to this fiancé of hers for good......
After having her eyes open to the world she comes to realize with some hot help from our man Clay that she is better than that !! She can be with who she wants...do a job she loves and not worry about money if she just gives in to love...
Another gritty story from Jade...everything she writes seems so realistic to me....no fluff added to make it believable just real life and HOT SEX !!

I was instantly intrigued by Clay/Jet as soon as I met him in Bullet. Clay is the guy you love and Jet is the guy you lust after. I had to have more. I was "that girl" that tracked down the author to ask her if I could get another taste of Clay/Jet. Boy was I excited when she said "Hell yes"! Feverish did not disappoint in showing me that Jet was indeed as sassy as ever and Clay was ready to be loved after being burned in the past. Emily that lucky girl was going to get the best of both worlds. She not only had a guy to rock her bed, but now one that could rock her entire world wrapped up in one hot package. I loved how Emily helped show Clay/Jet how thin the line was between the two sides of his personalities. They were not so different since she loved him on every level and not just Jet the Rockstar. She loved Clay the man at the center of it all. Loved it!!
BULLET introduced us to the super sexy and hot rockstar Clay aka JET and we fell for this oh so bad... but really good ladies man. Jade Jamison can really tell a very entertaining story with a lot of passion and heart...FEVERISH is the 3rd book in the BULLET series and here we find out the why and how Clay/Jet came to be who he is today and how one + one + one = two happy people in the end. Enter the smart and kind hearted Emily and we see his tough bad boy exterior crumble and realize there is so much more to this gorgeous man than the body art, music and piercings. This book is not as vulgar or violent or insanely crazy as the first book...in fact Jamison departs from the wildness of Bullet a little more with each successive book but they are still filled with hot bedroom scenes, smoldering foreplay and real down to earth people trying to find love and success in their lives. Comparing each of them is like comparing apples to oranges to pears...they each have their own taste...different but just as sweet and equally satisfying! Another **5 star** book =)
Oh Clay, Clay, Clay what can I say besides he is so freaking Hot and just a great guy! Emily is a new grad with her MBA and is engaged to a man she feels comfortable with but absolutely no passion for. But she thinks life will be ok and she is content. Her fiance takes off with his buddies to Europe for a few months to travel. While he's gone Emily takes a job as a PA for a famous rock star Jet or Clay. She then realizes that she gas definitely been missing that spark with her fiance because now she is falling for her boss Clay. The more Tim's they spend together the closer they become. But Clay has been hurt twice by the two women he loved prior to meeting Emily. But the more he's with Emily the more he falls for her. They give into their passion after Emily learns her fiance is cheating on her. Their passion and heat grows and grows. They cannot keep their hands off each other. Finally they come to trust each other and fall deeply in love. Great great story! Loved these two so much!
I loved Clay in Bullet and was so glad that he got his own story! He is sensitive and HOT! He hides behind his “Jet” alter ego who is a bad-boy rocker, who really isn’t as bad as he wants you to believe.
He’s a rocker, parties hard and loves his women, but he is far from organized. When his power is shut off because he forgot to pay his bill, he hires Emily Brinkman as his Personal Assistant. Emily is a recent graduate who is struggling to figure out where she belongs. She wants to be happy, but feels like she is forced to settle in both her career and her personal life with a family that will secure her financially.
Clay knows that Emily is completely off-limits but she has sparked something in him that he hasn’t felt in a long time. Can Clay convince her to give him a chance? He hasn’t truly loved anyone since Valerie. He’s been unlucky in love and hopes that the 3rd time is a charm!
I received an ARC from the author and am going to give an honest review.
Feverish is book 3 of the Bullet series and I found this book to be one that was hard to put down. I made it to about 3 so I gave up and got some sleep. I jumped right back on it.
I finished Feverish and I absolutely was loving Clay/Jet throughout the entire book!!! He was always a close second to Brad for me in Bullet, but I have to say Jade really brought out his sincerity, sweetness and Jets dominate sexy side! Emily was a good challenge for him and damn the sex was HOT!
I loved really Ethan's book Rock Bottom a lot and it had me on a roller coaster of emotions like Bullet, but Jets book was so energizing, and fun to read. No real darkness other than is insecurity about Emily's feelings till the end. Jade nailed it again!!
