Will the nastalgic journey home provide the answers and the love Vangie's daughter searches for? The fourth book in a six novel series depicting romance and courage in the wild and beautiful Oregon frontier. A gentle love inspiring story.

Love Leads Home, book 4 in the Love Is a Gentle Stranger series was a huge disappointment after reading the first three. It started out good with her on the train destined for Atlanta to trace her ancestral roots. She meets a seemingly nice man who, after getting to know her, gives her his quarters on the 2nd train for her comfort and safety. Once she arrives at his cousin's mansion however, things get confusing. I questioned Michael St. John's(the man she met on the train) role in everything that happened in the book. Just who was he and why is he determined to marry her after knowing her so short of time. the aftermath of the Civil War is woven into the story as well as a few well placed letters from back home in Oregon(which serve to disorient the reader even more. all in all, a very confusing read.
I have loved all the books in the series until I got to this one. Love Leads Home has a lot of holes in it. It's very confusing at times and hard to follow.
