Blu Dream is a story about a man who must take a chance in order to find happiness.
Suilan Lee creates fiction set in a boy meets boy world. She has written The Reluctant Consort, The Prince and His Royal Guard, The Assassin, and The Morgan Lore, among others.
When she's not writing, she teaches others how to farm sustainability. She lives with her husband, and their beautiful family of four.
I can’t believe I’m actually giving a Suilan Lee story less than four stars. I’ve read quite a few of her works and they’ve always been such a treat. But for the first time, one fell just a little short. My biggest “complaints” about her writing have always been that some of the grammar was a bit odd, as if being translated from an Asian language, but in the case of Blu Dream, there are just so many oddities I had to make assumptions about what I thought she was trying to say. The sex scenes between Liron and Milo, especially the first one, are such bundles of confusion I would guess that nobody proof read them. Now as far as the story itself goes, it was very sweet. The beginning gave the impression that Milo was closeted so I was expecting the angsty part of the story to deal with that, but, that wasn’t the case at all. Milo was not closeted and was genuinely interested in Liron. The angsty part was mostly taking us through Liron’s learning to accept and trust Milo. The epilogue comes along somewhat abruptly, but is one of the best. Milo and Liron are so good together. The way the epilogue describes their relationship and the incredibly sweet new tradition Milo takes up (replacing his former collecting of pens) for Liron makes the heart soar!
This book made my day, Liron is such a lovable main character. His struggle to make a decision was a bit annoying but I can understand his hesitation. Their chemistry was great, Milo is pretty cool, once again, a cute short story from Ms. Lee.
