The teen years of a person's life are the most impressionable years of their life. Most of the time what they see and or surround themselves with is what they become and Wustafa knows this which is why he chose all teen-agers to serve in his army. 40 year old Wustafa, a career criminal has been in and out of jail since the age of 11. Wustafa accepts prison as the repercussions of his mistakes. He views it as a part of the game. Quite different from most inmates who sit back wishing they were on the outside, Wustafa uses his time to his advantage. He passes his time by studying, strategizing and planning his next attacks. All of his life he's been a solo act, a one man army who has singlehandedly robbed and extorted some of the wealthiest drug dealers in the city. After sitting on ice for 15 years straight, Wustafa had more than enough time to come up with a master plan. He's decided to give up his solo identity and sign on to a group; not just any group though. In this group he will be the leader. Not only does he lead, he also molds this crew of innocent teen-agers into stone cold killers. Catching these teens at such a young and naive time in their lives makes his job that much easier. He's able to take control of their minds and have them obey his every command. Wustafa understands, the stronger his leadership skills are, the stronger his army will be and the more money they will be able to obtain. The streets of Newark, New Jersey will never be the same as long as Wustafa and his Young Gunz are running wild.

Mr. Banks has carefully wove together such an interesting storyline. Fans of street literature will immediately become engrossed within the pages, while the ending will definitely leave you speechless.
This was my first time reading a novel by this author and I definitely will be reading more from Al Saadiq Banks in the future.
Grover Watson aka Wustafa is a career criminal who specializes in robbery, extortion and murder. Wustafa is known throughout the streets of Newark as the man you don't wanna see! When Wustafa decides to assimilate his own team of young gunz to terrorize the streets with, real mayhem is unleashed. The transformation of Lamar, Leonard, Anthony and Sameerah into young criminals should be frowned upon however somehow Author Al-Saadiq Banks manages to make you root for them all the while they're doing wrong.
No matter the level of depravity you're left hoping and praying that they'll survive their latest caper just so they can undoubtedly rob and kill again. It takes more than just a proficient writer to successfully pull this off and Mr. Banks has once again proven why he's consistently releasing urban novels that surpass the mundane stories that are saturating the market. Be forewarned their are no fairy tale endings to be found here as always with Al-Saadiq Banks' novels it's strictly True 2 Life!
Once again, I am impressed with your writing skills Mr. Banks. This was a great book to read. I enjoyed it from cover to cover. The characters were a trip collectively & individually. Each one brought something different to the story. So will there be a part 2?
This was the 1st time I read anything from this author. I found this to be an action packed fast-paced read. It left my mouth hanging open wanting more at the end. I would recommend this.
