I've enjoyed this series from the first book and have found subsequent novels are each better than the previous. Talia has made a deal with Ian Crane for the help she needs to rescue Erik. Once he's back in friendly hands and conscious, he tells Ian everything that was done while he was held captive. Ian calls in the UNITED council to present to them the evidence they need proving Mac needs to be stopped.

There's a reason the use of the creation drug was banned, but that doesn't bother Mac. He has a vision for the Talented and he's willing to do anything to see it come to fruition. A line is drawn in the sand and Talia is on the other side. Any questions remaining from the first three books are answered. When Talia loses someone close to her, the full scope of Mac's ambition is revealed. She also has to face betrayal from an unexpected direction.

Davis has pulled out all the stops in Created. She hits the ground running from the first page and doesn't slow down until the end. To make it even better ( if that were possible) Davis left one thread hanging at the end leaving me hopeful for a fifth book. She kept me up way too late reading and it was the first thing I grabbed the next day. This is definitely a 5-star book. Created is not a stand-alone book. To fully appreciate this story, you really do want to read the others first.

I was gifted an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It seems it has all come down to this... Talia must align with who she thought was the enemy. She will battle those she calls friends. She must put herself and safety of those she loves on the line to reveal the true evil mechanization of TOXIC. The plot has come to a head and the entire world will become aware of the devastation the power hungry have caused.

I've loved the Talented Saga from the beginning but Created just might be my favorite one of them all. Sophie Davis out did herself with this mind blowing storyline. The action, drama and heart pounding emotions will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. While shocking revelations, tragic loses, and ultimate betrayals will all pack an emotional punch. Created brilliantly sucks us into Sophie Davis's world of power, politics and passion.

The ending, WOW, got say I'm still reeling from that ending and where it might go next.

SWEET - I received this ARC copy of Created from Sophie Davis in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication November 5, 2013!

I first found out about this series at Bookcon 2014. I was running all over the place trying to find this one book only to find that the last two books were left. So I bought the 3rd one and got the rest for my Kobo. In a matter of weeks, I managed to read all four and I was astounded by all of them.

Talia Lyons is really unique compared to all of the characters I met before in books. She is brave, strong, fearless and loving. She wants to avenge her parents death but it's not easy. She learned secrets, made friends, was betrayed and teamed up with the most unlikely people.

I really enjoyed this series which is why this novel is rated 5 stars. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Action, action and more action! Gretchen's role was shocking because I never even counted her in all this although I should have. Don's death was sad.

Another fabulously amazing sequel!

I get so excited when I hear another instalment in the Talented series is ready to read. I have to firstly thank Sophie for another review copy.
She is awesome! Both as a writer and as a person.

But wow! I was expecting amazing but this just blew me away.
It was fast paced and packed with adrenaline pumping action that just kept you glued to the pages. I was helplessly compelled to read every word and I could not peel my eyes away for one second.. Not that I wanted to.

There was so much going on in this fourth sequel. Yes there was action. But there was also, heartbreak, loss and shocking revelations revealed. This takes you deeper into the Toxic history and what is really going on behind the scenes. This book ultimately... Is about betrayal. Created packs nothing if not an emotional punch.

As always I love reading about Talia and Erik.

Erik just made me fall deeper in love with him, he is always so strong and positive, Talia also grew immensely. She became stronger, braver and harder. She grew up. Became more independent and took charge. She made me proud. Alex is just so loveable, he's so mature for such a small kid and my heart just ached for him. But Penny.. Wow she was a surprising feisty character, it was great to see her as herself even if she was a little damaged.

But in this book we lose a close character, he was never in a good position and I knew things wouldn't work out for him. He was to deep. The odds were stacked against him since birth, he never really stood a chance. I will miss him.
Damn, this book didn't half shock me.

There are also some happier parts of this book, it just all goes so fast. It never slows down. I can say that by the end you are just like 'Wow'. It's the first chance you will take to sit and just take in all that you just read, there's no time to think whilst reading.

As always, it has you anxiously awaiting the next one, I can barely stand it, I need to know what happens next so badly. Please time, go quick!
I could never ever pick a favourite out of all the Talented novels but this one really make an impression.

Inescapable can't be released fast enough.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

“Created” picks up right where “Hunted” left off. Talia along with the help of Ian plans on rescuing Erik from Toxic director Mr. McDonough better known as Mac. I enjoyed this book just as much as the rest of the books in the series. Secrets are revealed, lives are destroyed and most of all freedom seems to be no longer a choice of free will. Mac is determined to create more and stronger Talents in those he see as worthy. After certain events Talia realizes Mac is beyond saving, after all, you are supposed to love and protect those you love, not take advantage of the power you hold. Everyone life hangs in the balance and Talia needs to realize soon, that when it comes to war anyone can become a casualty but Mac isn’t the only one who has truly betrayed her. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a great read full of action, suspense, betrayal, revenge and love. The books in this series must be read in order but they are definitely worth reading.

I really liked this one but it had something that kept nagging at me and that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of the usual 5.
I didn't like Talia this time around, she was too insecure, too late to respond, I can't even count the number of times she FROZE. I just didn't feel like she was herself. Confident in her abilities, super bad-ass-kicker. I just thought she would grow more as a character and not actually involve. With her new powers she should have been one of the best. But I didn't feel it. Sure she managed to get by, but that's all there was. And all of the sudden everybody can read her mind, WTF.
And there were many other inconsistencies that bothered me and that could have been avoided making this book a great one.
I just hope the next one will bring some well deserved closure for Tals and return her to her usual kick-ass self.
I loved Erik though, and Donavon (poor thing), Frederick and Henri also and very much Crane. He was an unexpected pleasure to read.

I just finished this book this morning and it was wonderful. I loved it just as much as I've loved all of the books in the Talented series. I love immersing myself in Talia's world and can't stop reading once I start unless my eyes won't stay open.

***Spoiler Alert!!! If you haven't read the other books in the series, don't read any more***

Talia has joined forces with Ian Crane, the man she vowed to kill from childhood as an act of revenge against her murdered parents. But things aren't always what they seem. Mac, the man who sheltered her and raised her after she became an orphan, is clearly evil. One must read Created to understand just how evil he truly is.

Talia is willing to risk everything to rescue Eric from the clutches of the man she grew up believing loved her as a daughter. Can she get him out of captivity?

More....more....more.....more.....I need more. I love these characters so much that I never want their story to end. Ever. Just keep writing them until there's nothing left. I love these books, characters, development, just.....oh my god. I want MORE!!!!!

Was that fangirl of me? Yeah, I guess it was. So I'm a fangirl of Sophie Davis. I just really do love her books. I can't wait to see if she comes out with a 5th in this series, and I want more of the other series' as well. Keep it going, Ms. Davis. You are a star!!!

I'm surprised myself by how much I have come to love YA books and this series is one in a short list of favorites. I won't say this is my favorite of all of the books in the series and probably because it is a bit busy...there is a lot going on in this book and given where things end, looks like there is a potential for another one.

We pick up with where Hunted left off which is a good thing cause we know Talia needs to get Erik back and of course stop Mac from creating new talents. However, there were some twists I didn't expect with Donovan and Gretchen, and not sure I like how it ended, since I still think there are some unanswered questions and well, I'm surprised that Talia would be ok with not having a hand in making Mac pay for all he has done. She isn't exactly the most mature and frankly, very hot headed and yeah, selfish. On the other hand, Mac is also someone that she feared given he was the only father figure she remembered. I also struggled with how Mac was portrayed at the end too. He is just too arrogant to display fear...

There are times I really like Talia and others where I think she still has a lot of growing up to do, but admit she doesn't lead a charmed life so her behavior is understandable. I know this is told more from Talia's viewpoint, but one of the things I did like about the novella was Erik's point of view. I would have loved more of his point of view...and you do get a little toward the end. I do like that the book touches on other characters, but as I mentioned, leaves me feeling like we still need closure...for example, what happens with Harris, Kenly, Cadence, Henri and Frederick, even Penny and Erik and the others "infected". We get so much, but also too much that seems unresolved. I'm still a huge fan and glad to have gotten an ARC copy to read.

This book was mind blowing! There was so much action, adventure, and romance. I felt like this book could go on forever and I would never get bored!!!

It has all led up to this point, where Talia and Crane's forced unite to take down TOXIC. I love Talia's character, she is consistent throughout these books, yet continues to grow and development. She is strong and bright and stops at nothing to help those she loves. In this particular book she struggles with figuring out whether her decisions are selfish or selfless and the effect this has on her frame of mind is seen throughout. She also struggles with the fall out from leaving TOXIC and joining Cranes team. Knowing things won't be easy is not the same as living it.

This book takes you deeper into the TOXIC history and further into Ian Cranes World and purpose. There are tons of twists and turns and revelations in this book, some heartbreak and some extremely powerful moments. This book has it all. As usual I fell more in love with Erik and Talia and loved seeing all my favorite characters make their appearances. I enjoyed getting to see and get to know Penny more, though I wish that I could have gotten to know her even better, maybe next book.

I REALLY did not like Brand and I truly didn't understand his dislike for Talia, that bothered me a lot.
I Think that the one thing that I didn't care for in this book is that it seemed unclear whether there would be another book. Leaving an opening for a next book, perhaps Penny's story…seemed a bit of a copy out…But I absolutely love this series, its full of surprises and twists, with plenty of romance and action. Never a dull moment, thats for sure.

While I enjoyed the return of a more kick ass Talia I was expecting this to be the final of the series and was a little disappointed not to have everything wrapped up. There were also several very minor things which bugged me. Specifically how everyone (including Talia) seems to blame her for stuff that is not her fault. While I thought Brand vitriolic hatred a bit unfair, especially as it is rooted in something that Talia had absolutely nothing to do with I get that he could blame her for Penny. What bugged me most though was everyone's reaction to Brand's behaviour. "He doesn't hate you Talia" umm yes he does and Talia who can sense people emotions would KNOW. "He just needs time to warm up to you" - not going to happen. And Talia gets blamed for not getting along with him - she is only reacting to the way he treats her. I also would prefer to see Talia & Eric acting as a team and working together which they haven't really done since book 2. And it also bugged me that Talia is supposed to tell Eric stuff and share with him so he can help her but if she expects the same she is being "selfish". I did like Talia & Donovan's interactions and how they still cared for one another even though they are on opposite sides. Other minor plot points that irritated me - 4 books devoted to how special Talia is, how much Mac wants to use her etc then suddenly she not a super talent any more, TOXIC has a powerful mind talent and its ok to kill her.

This book starts off with Talia, with the help of Crane and UNITED storming the agencies prison to rescue Erik, Talia's boyfriend who was captured. There is so much to the story, especially in this book that made me so hooked. Talia has to go up against Mac, the agencies director who she grew up with and thought of as a father figure. Talia has been through so much, finding out that the agency that she grew up with is creating Talented humans which is destroying those humans.

I really enjoyed this book as it was the ultimate battle between UNITED AND TOXIC. Lots of paranormal fighting and lots of deaths. I couldn't keep count how many people died, even some of the characters i became to love. There is also some new characters you meet on the way and in UNITED. Brand i found funny and the hatred he has for Talia. You find out more about how Penny ended up escaping instead of being executed as Talia was told. Overall it was a fantastic book. I really thought it was the end after the ultimate battle but I couldn't believe that there is more to come from Talia. I'm really excited and happy that this isn't the end.

I love anything Sophie Davis writes, I have not read anything I haven’t liked by her! If you haven’t read the other books, please stop now because I am going to talk spoilers from previous books.

Deception continues to run deep in this series, and unfortunately it is not always my favorite element in books. I am just really glad that Penny turned out not to be the total bad guy. I was really hung up over that because I felt like Penny was Talia’s only chance for a real relationship. I still hated Donovan in this book because he clearly chooses a side in the war but he does have some points of redemption.

I know there is going to be more books so I am just going to say that I am not convinced that UNITED is the right side either. I am always a skeptic when it comes to dystopian governments and I am feeling pretty skeptical. After the end of the last book, I was just so worried about Erik but thankfully this book jumps right into a rescue mission. I won’t say whether it was successful or not but lots of things are going on in this book! In addition, there is heartbreak in this book and I am still unsure of all my feelings about it.

These books are so good! I would recommend this series to all YA readers or anyone looking to start a great new series!

"Created" is a pivotal book in the Talented series because everything finally comes to a head between TOXIC and the UNITED. Talia is bound and determined to rescue Eric, the love of her life. When she reaches him. she is not prepared for the bad condition he is in. If they are unable to make an emergency landing and get him a blood transfusion he will die.

As Eric receives medical attention, TOXIC manages to track them down. A major fight ensues and someone Talia loves will not make it out alive. As UNITED moves in. Ian Crane convinces them finally that something has to be done. One of their leaders, Victoria. makes it clear she doesn't trust the created talented and if it weren't for the fact she needed Talia and Erik. she would have them contained. So, why do I feel like Talia has jumped out of the pan and into the fire by trading her loyalty to TOXIC for loyalties to UNITED? Well, only the next books will tell.

This book has a more ominous tone to it. Emotions run high as war is waged. There is plenty of action, deceit and intrigue. In the end I found myself wondering who can be trusted and who is likely to betray Talia and Erik. I can't wait for the next book!

I was given an ARC of this book by the author for review. There may have been a little begging involve. Maybe. Just a little.

OMG! I loved this book even more than the rest! Okay, maybe not more than book 1, but it was so freaking fantastic!!! We are completely invested by the end of Chapter 1 - finding out a dear friend was involved in the death of her parents, knowing at the end of the countdown she'll be on her way to rescue Erik. This book was full of action, suspense, love, and lots of super talents! It was definitely a nail biter! Every time they would lose track of a friend I thought the worst was going to happen. Part of it broke my heart. I was amazed at the detail and how descriptive the author could be, I could visualize the entire book in my head! I loved the progression of the talents, even though the very idea of someone with that much power is a bit terrifying.

The way the book was left with several open ends leads me to believe there will be a Book 5... but even if the story ends just where it is, that would be okay :)

I was given an ARC of this book by the author for an honest review.

The first thing I want to say about the Talented Series is the the author, Sophie Davis, has talent!

I was in love with the story from the first book and I must say I loved Created as much, if not more, then the other books. It was so easy to get caught up in the story as the characters either get you to love them or really hate them.

There are so many twists and surprises in Created that nothing turns out the way you expect it to. Who is really a friend, a spy or an enemy. Who do you trust? Who are the CREATED? What are their Talents? How dangerous are they? Can they be defeated? Can the world be saved from the CREATED?

I don't want the story to end and the way the author ended it there could possibly be another book (I WOULD LOVE THAT!) You need to read all of the books in the series as this is not a stand alone story. Trust me when I say you will fall in love with the Talented series as much as I did!

Definitely not what I expected to happen. I am saddened at how things happened with Donovan- I kept hoping for something good to come of all that and even though he saved her life, it was hard to let that storyline go. The writing is captivating and won't let you go. You will need to keep reading to find out what happens. The end of this book leads you to believe that Mac will finally meet his end, but truly, is Gretchen the worst one? Was she the one manipulating things? I hope it doesn't end up that they start to do the same thing for UNITED that they did for TOXIC- kind of like what happened in the Hunger Games books- in the end, they were going to be under the rule of another person and it seemed all for naught. Will Talia and Eric be able to just live a normal life and raise Alex? I don't know, but it kept me reading for an entire day just trying to figure out how it was going to end.

I also won this book in Paperback from the author awhile ago and I couldn't wait to get started reading it. I found this instalment to be jammed with information, but there was also a ton of action throughout. But I am mad at where the book ended haha. It's kind of a cliffhanger, but more just I need to know what is going to happen! It seems with every book, old questions get answered but new ones arise. Even with all of that going on this one did read a bit slower for me.
I just love this series and I can't wait to read more. I need to know what will happen. If you want a new series to lose yourself in this is a good place to start.

Wow. Such a whirlwind of a book! There was never a dull moment in Created. I felt as though there was no delay between the events in Hunted and Created, which I enjoyed. Sophie Davis continues to dazzle readers in her ability to describe, in detail, the setting of the story and the characters emotions. I liked that this book focused a lot on the Talents and the Creation drug, making it very action packed. This book demonstrates how much the characters have changed, especially in their ability to use their Talents. You will definitely be surprised by some characters Talents (

I found the first of this series for free on the kindle store and thought i'd check it out. I then bought all of them and have thoroughly enjoyed every one. Talia is a wonderful and complex character and had me laughing outloud a couple of times. Some of the plots twists i guess fairly early but did not spoil the read for me. This series is a great dystopian series and is a little more mature than others of the same genre. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who asks!

Hmmm

I don’t know why but this book fell flat for me. I really enjoyed the last half of the second book and the third book in its entirety. I’m sad to say that this is where the series ends for me. The part of the story that I was interested in has more or less ended so I will not be continuing with the next book. Maybe someone else will enjoy it more than I did? Happy reading everyone!

I'm glad the series is over. It ended how I expected it to, happy ending and all. But I can't help but feel disappointed. I guess I was expecting more from this series. The plot in the first two books is so different from this book. I guess I feel like this book was thrown together, the author wanting to wrap things up. I'm glad the series ended here. This book was already pushing the story plot.

I really enjoy reading this series... Lies betrayal double agents. All with a fast paced strategy and a whirlwind romance. I am beginning to wonder if life will ever be normal for Talia though.
Interested to see how they will overcome the next steps in this massive dilemma!

Once again, the Talented saga has left me aching to read the next installment. Not only was Created an action-packed page turner, but also brought about a swarm of emotion within me--something not many books or authors have achieved. I laughed, I cried, I BAWLED at one point. Interestingly enough, I bawled over a character that I initially loathed. Oh Sophie, what have you done to me?!?

So...Created is Book 4 of the Talented saga. I was so thrilled that the book picked up right where the last one left off. I'm not always keen on huge gaps in time that sometimes appear within a series, and thankfully this one didn't disappoint. Also, with every book the urgency of their situation continues to escalate further...there's no lull in the action as the stakes continue to increase. This only enhances the need to keep going--which of course means many sleepless nights for me. But the sleep-deprivation is worth it!

As with the previous books, Created brings back some of my favorite characters. Talia, Erik, Penny, Henri, Frederick, and even Harris are front and center. However, a number of new characters have also been more thoroughly introduced, Donavon's son Alex being my absolute favorite. So, what do I think of the characters, old and new?

Talia: She's FINALLY become the badass, no Fs given warrior that I've been waiting for! And she's grown into the female hero in the best possible way--as a result of the need to protect those she loves. Much like Katniss, Tris, and Ember (Article 5 series...READ IT!), Talia's strength comes from a desire to protect her chosen family and not from some misguided quest for power or notoriety.

Erik: I don't think I could love him anymore than I already do. One thing I loved about Created is that now the roles have been reversed between him and Talia. Where she was the one needing protection in Hunted (mentally, emotionally, and physically), now Erik is battling his own demons that only Talia can help him to defeat. This puts the characters on equal footing.

Penny: PENNY. IS. AWESOME! Need I say more? Nope.

Henri and Frederick: I love their relationship. I've said since the beginning that I am thrilled to see openly gay characters portrayed without the usual stereotypes. These two are strong male characters in a loving, committed relationship just like everyone else. There's no over-the-top, cringeworthy shock value. No one bats an eyelash or tries to put down their relationship. It really drives home that same sex couples are just like everyone else.

Harris: His story broke my heart, particularly after his confession to Talia in the last book. My only complaint is that the relationship between him and Penny felt glossed over. There were a few mentions, but suddenly everything became about Penny and Brand. Honestly, I hope to see Harris and Penny together in the end.

Brand: This is a new character, and so far I'm not crazy about him. His backstory just doesn't justify his animosity toward Talia. For awhile I theorized that maybe he was Talia's older brother that she had no memory of, but alas that theory was put to rest. I am curious to see where his character ends up but right now he's the least of my concerns.

Ian: I want to know more about him. So far he seems to care a great deal for Talia, but I learned my lesson with Mac AND GRETCHEN--things aren't always as they appear. And now that UNITED is in the picture, I'm having a hard time accepting that Ian solely holds Talia's best interests at heart. I guess we'll see.

Dr. Patel: I don't trust him. There's just something sketchy about him that I can't quite put my finger on. He's too nice. He seems to care too much.

Cadence and Randy: Please PLEASE let my suspicions be wrong. After everything Talia has done for them, I don't think my heart can take it.

Alex: GIMME! He's just so damn cute and the things he brings out in Talia and Erik just gives me major feels. I'm convinced that he is multi-talented, but what other talents might he possess? I'm thinking it's something brand new as a result of Donavon's blood.

And finally Donavon: I bawled like a baby. I had a hard time dealing with this one because I wanted to hate him. I wanted to claw his eyes out and do unspeakable things to his character to make him pay for what he did to Talia. But when push came to shove, he managed to redeem himself. And I think that's what made me so emotional.

Anyway, that's pretty much it. These books just keep getting better and better. I'm kind of sad that the next book will be all about Kenly though...I'm going to miss reading about Talia, Erik, and the rest of their motley crew. Thankfully, I know their story will pick up once again in the installment that immediately follows, so I'm willing to give Kenly a chance mainly because I'm curious as to what happened to her after the confrontation with Erik. But for now, as it is 5:30am, I'm going to try to sleep.

Note: I've read the book and listened to the audiobook. This review covers both. I recommend reading the first three books in this series before reading this book, or my review due to possible spoilers.

Story Summary and Overall Thoughts:
This book is a young adult sci-fi story with elements of urban fantasy and the paranormal. It's the fourth in an epic series which spans eight books. I love this series, and the main character and her boyfriend are defectors from TOXIC, an organization which wasn't what it seemed. But Erik was captured by TOXIC and Talia has to save him, counting on those she previously called enemies to make it happen. Additionally, Talia's life is in danger as her powers grow stronger and she fights for control, and as TOXIC hunts her down. If they can't have her, no one will.

Talia shows strength in the face of all that she is fighting against. Her internal battles, those hunting her, trying to grapple with her new reality, and saving Erik from Mac. She shows her human side multiple times and isn't just a cardboard cutout.

Erik continues to be badass. Not perfect, but he would certainly be my dream guy if he were real. I think we could all use a little Erik in our lives.

To sum up, the things I love:
- The characters are multi-dimensional.
- I love the continuing storyline. I feel it's important to read the first three to fully comprehend what's going on.
- Character dialog feels real and there's not a lot of explaining things other characters already know for the reader's benefit. Ex. Joe is a scientist and already knows how a flux capacitor works, but Lily explains it to him as if he didn't know, purely for the reader's benefit.
- Erik :D
- How Erik deals with being locked up and tortured feels real.

Things I’m not overly fond of:
- There is always a fair amount of exposition, explanations of the world and the history which is fine. What I don't like is that it's done in huge chunks and I want to skip ahead usually. If this was dotted in throughout the story I feel it would make it a more enjoyable read. This is the only reason I give the book a 4, instead of 5, star rating.

Audio:
The narrator is better this time. I'm still not overly fond of her nasal tone and sometimes over the top inflections, but this book was easier to listen to and her voice differentiation was better as well. In the previous book's narration I didn't want to keep listening at all but in this one, I found I could fall into the story after a while.

I was committed to the story quickly because the previous book in the series was left on a cliffhanger and I wanted to know what was going to happen. Without giving anything away, I can say that I enjoyed the way the story went with all its twists and turns when it came to all the different characters. Some of the outcomes were a shock and then others I was able to guess would happen.

With every book in the series, Sophie tells you a little more about this dystopian world they are living in and all the weird things that happened to the earth to make it that way. Talia wasn’t as bad as in the previous books in the series but she still had moments where she aggravated me. It was a lot better though. For someone that is supposed to be this badass soldier, fighter and powerful talent…she was very fragile and weak-willed.

As with the previous books in this series, I thoroughly enjoyed some of the other characters. I do, however, believe that several people were blaming Talia for stuff that really wasn’t her fault. This is book 4 in an 8-book series. I see the next one is not about Talia. I’m not sure how I feel about that but let’s see. Each book ends on a cliffhanger. I will review the last 4 books of the series in another post at a later stage.

I would recommend these books to people who like mystery and Young Adult fiction with a little Sci-Fi and adventure, dystopian life and romance. If you liked X-Men, then you’ll like this story.

I had been slowly liking the series more in recent books but this one dragged at the end. Just when I thought I was starting to like the main character (especially her taking responsibility for Alex), I was reminded of all the reasons I didn’t. She is at the center of everything yet really add nothing those around her. She is a spoiled child and frankly inept at her biggest talent. Henri is about to get shot and she uses her power to pick up a gun when she could more easily pulled the gun from the shooter or stop the bullet cold. She is a super fighter yet in the fight she gets her ass easily kicked and has to be rescued (again and again). I really like growth stories, but talia isn’t growing or maturing much. I will likely read the next book since it is about Kinley (who I like) but not sure if I want to read about Talia anymore. I really like Penny and would like more of her (without talia).

This series kept me entertained for a number of days and I was excited to get to the “end”... to discover there is more to this story.
I felt that some parts of the story telling were irrelevant and this slowed the pace. I also have questions left unanswered, and when I invest myself in a series that takes so long I’d like to know the answers.
I’m not sure if there’s enough in this story for a fifth book- I think I’ll leave it here, while I’m still happy with my latest read.
