This next manga in this series mostly focuses on Aya. Aya has always been a follower and a people pleaser. She is expected to get into a great college after high school and to be a good role model. Her feelings are hurt when Rei tells her that she needs to stop being a follower. Believing that Rei is only with Aya out of pity she takes time to herself and begins focusing more on her studies. She also meets Katase who's just like her. Katase and Aya study together, but nothing more happens. This quickly ends when Katase tries telling Aya how to dress and who to hang out with. Realizing what Rei said was true she decides to try and make it work with him again. I was so relieved when Aya bailed out of that situation as fast as she did because if she stayed it would've only gotten worse. Even though Rei is selfish he truly does care about Aya. He just never likes to show his feelings. Ran and Tatsuki also face their own dilemma. Tatsuki believes Ran and Rei like each other, but Ran is quick to reassure Tatsuki. Rei on the other hand might have feelings for Ran. I love this series, but I hate that every guy except for Yamato (for obvious reasons) ends up liking Ran. She has a great personality and is very pretty, but she's also sometimes annoying and doesn't take anything seriously. Not every guy is going to like those qualities about someone. So that part of the series is very unrealistic. But regardless this series is so funny and entertaining I love rereading it!

Honda Mami pacaran sama Asou Yuuya!

Ia mengkritik kebiasaan baru Aya memakai aksesori.

As always, I love returning to this series. It remains a very balanced blend of lighthearted fun and emotional drama, and I can never be bored with these characters and the shenanigans they get up to.

A lot of this volume is focused on Aya and her insecurities in her relationship with Otohata and just in general. While I love and appreciate character development for her, the counterbalance to that is additional glimpses of what's going on with Otohata. I think this volume is the first time we ever have it confirmed even vaguely that Otohata (like Yuya aka Number Two, and Tatsukichi,) has feelings for Ran. It's frustrating, because I never feel like I can enjoy him as a character, no matter how much of a catalyst he ends up being for other elements in the story.

Still, I enjoyed re-reading this and I'm happy to continue on with the series! I really wish this got picked up by a publisher again for re-release in the states, it's a solid series and I feel like it still has a lot of value that readers can appreciate even today.
