When Uchino High, an all-girls school, merges with Meibi High, an elite all-boys school, three boys immediately become popular among the ladies, including Yasuaki Garaku, who doesn't seem to care for girls.
Rie Takada ( 高田りえ) is a Japanese manga artist. She debuted in 1990 in the 17th issue of the manga anthology magazine Sho-Comi with the series SP girl. She still writes primarily for Sho-Comi, with her serialized works also published in collected volumes by Shogakukan, the company that publishes Sho-Comi.
In this volume we learn why Yasu doesn't like girls, what Hanabi was like when she was little, Hanabi's childhood friend turns up and annoys Yasu, and Yoshitomo plays mind games with Hanabi and Yasu. This was a fun, quick and enjoyable read.
In this third volume of the series we find out why Yasuaki's hates girls, it's because they like him a little too much.....
We see his and Hanabi's relationship grow and it's still sweet. An old friend of Hanabi's shows up in the end and it looks like he's about to throw a spanner in the works.
I would write more but I'm half way through the fourth volume now and it's hard separating them in my head!
This volume continues the unfolding romance between Hanabi and Yasuaki. Still a nice, comfortable piece of fluff, nothing ground-breaking here, but very enjoyable if you like this kind of story. Volume 3 gives us more insight to Yasuaki's background, and we meet his family. The ending introduces a new element of conflict - Hanabi meets up with a male childhood friend that she hasn't seen in ten years, but with whom she used to be quite good friends. Now she needs to deal with Takero Suno and her old feelings for him as well as with Yasuaki's jealousy.
Another fun cute read. Lots of laughter and we found out why yasuaki hates girls (thanks to Kuon ahahahaa) and loveee that I get to know more about everyone especially member of student council.
It's really refreshing that even this far in, there haven't been any of the usual annoying shoujo manga conflicts, like a girl stepping between the hero and heroine or some stupid misunderstanding pulling them apart for no reason. Through the whole story so far, they've liked each other and behaved decently toward one another. In ch.1, Hanabi finds out why Yasuaki is so uncomfortable around girls. In ch.2, Yasuaki cheers Hanabi up and she meets Yasuaki's father and brothers. In ch.3, Yoshitomo kisses Hanabi to tease her and Hanabi gets herself into trouble with Yasuaki as she tries to cancel the kiss out. In ch.4, Hanabi's childhood friend and idol Take reappears. He and Yasuaki immediately hate one another.
IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUN TO READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;)
