The Soldier and His Servant

Rate this book
Raheed is bhanak, a "slave soldier" who was bought, educated, and trained by the Mulli empire. When stationed in a rural town, he befriends a deaf beggar boy, Asan. A fierce yet complicated bond grows between them, though neither sees it the same way as the other. Soon, it is not just their loyalties to a nation that is tested, but also their loyalty to each other.

I feel that there is a bit of false advertisement here. There is zero mm romance or interaction in this book. For me one way crushes don't count as mm. And there is a lot of hetero sex as well. But other than that, the story is interesting and well written. Three stars.
