Dabin Choi is rough, tough, and a total tomboy and by the way she acts it would be pretty easy to guess that she's the only daughter of the head of the biggest mafia gang in Korea. But every girl, no matter how tough, is still a girl on the inside, and Dabin has the hugest crush on Eugene- her childhood friend and her daddy's subordinate. But the problem is that he still thinks of her as a little sister!
In hopes of changing the way he looks at her from sister to robust young lady, she transfers to his high school! But on her very first day, not only is she late but she runs into Shihu Myoung- her other childhood friend and enemy of her father! If her daddy ever found out that Shihu is her classmate she can kiss her dreams of having a peaceful school life with Eugene goodbye. But Shihu is already making her every day a living hell. What is a girl to do?!
The reason why I really liked this manga (or graphic novel? Since it's Korean I'm not entirely sure what to call it) is because of the sense of exuberance and youth it portrays. Dabin is such an exciting character (although I have the feeling that I will easily grow tired of her) and the way she interacts with Shihu and Eugene is just hysterical. If I were to choose which one of these two boys she would best end up with I would say it would have to be Shihu. Not because he's more desirable (because those two are more of the types I'd rather watch than interact with) but because Dabin is most herself when she is with him. As with Eugene, she fakes way too much to get him to fall for her. Although that is a factor in what makes this story so interesting! This was one of the first manga/graphic novels that had me wanting to read a second volume soon after I finished the first. It's one that isn't so great once you put it down, but it really sticks with you, you know?!
