With over 60 flaps to lift, this delightful book helps children learn about colors in a fun way. There are naming, matching and counting activities, and there's plenty fo pre-readers to talk about too.

I bought this for my 2 year old and he loves peeking in the ‘doors’ to see what’s there. He has been learning all the colours, and with these bright, colourful illustrations - it makes learning fun and engaging. There’s flowers, animals, cars and many more themes to explore, finding different items and matching colours. Would definitely recommend.
My daughter has had this book since she was 2 and at 3 1/2 she still really enjoys it. It's no longer challenging for her at this point, but now she likes making up stories about the illustrations in the book. It's very cute.
ETA May 2020: F (2) discovered this book today and insisted on reading it three times, once with me, once with Dad and once with her big brother. She calls it "Eee Eee Ahs" because there are monkeys on the cover and that's what she calls monkeys (in contrast to her big sister, who used to call them "Ooh ah Oohs" ETA July 2020: F now calls this "monkey book!" and still really loves it. She will bring it around to everyone in the house and ask us to read it to her. ETA January 2021: F took a break from this book for a few months but recently became fixated on it again. We read it often, and she basically has it memorized at this point.
This was one of my first Usborne books and I adore it! I will even "read" by myself if my mom is doing something else, which says a lot. This is also another book that I've loved so much that I've torn some of the flaps because I get so excited when I read it.
I like everything about this book except flap construction. if the tab is up top, the flap should open down. if it's on the side it should open toward the other side. my 2 year old tore several straight off first read cause the tab was on bottom so she pulled up but the window opened to the side. :(
