Suffering from amnesia, Hilda--a dancer who works in a tavern--is unable to remember anything of her childhood but believes that her mysterious admirer named Lawless may hold the key to unlocking her past. Teen.
A beautiful dancer with a tragiromantic backstory she can't recall is pursued by a demon lord and a wizard who she used to be involved with, plus some random rapists and admirers.
Not awful but I didn't find it too compelling and probably won't continue.
I adore You Higuri’s art with all her androgynous, beautiful men and her exquisitely dressed, doe-eyed ladies. So I definitely had to check out this series. This story is a wild fantasy that mostly revolves around a dippy dancer named Hilda Hildegard who has become the object of admiration by Laures, the Prince of the Damned. Of course, now that Laures is paying all this attention to Hilda, the demons and minions from his underworld are not happy him for slacking off on his Princely duties. They think he should spend his time doing more important things like being evil. Laures doesn’t really give a crap though and pretty much tells them so. LOL
So what does Hilda do, now that the Devil is in love with her? Like every good girl, she tries to change him, and make him a better man. Good luck on that, Hilda.
There’s also Roderick, who’s bent on destroying Laures because he’s evil. Roderick just happens to have a thing for dippy Hilda too, so there’s a love triangle.
It’s definitely a lot of fun. I’m enjoying this series immensely and it’s only just started. LOL
70 percent of the time I had no idea what was actually going on. Characters appeare out of nowhere and the plot skips several scenes. It's the classic enemies to lovers story but in a very underdeveloped way.
I haven't read the manga, but I did enjoy the brief Angel Sanctuary OVA. I had somewhat high hopes for this manga given it was published at around the same time as RG Veda. Lest to say, while I love how You draws human faces, this manga is pretty much a trainwreck.
It seems like the protagonist Hilda has memory problems that were caused by the villain named Lauress. He wants her for himself, but he wants her to fully fall in love with him. The problem is that while he does save her from the occasional loser that snares lewd comments at her beauty (because apparently an attractive young woman that works as a professional dancer in a tavern is just asking for the wrong kind of attention), he's the worst person of them all. Putting his beauty aside, Lauress is just a really awful, abusive and jealous person and Hilda seems to be just too stupid to realize he's up to no good.
I just don't understand Hilda. One moment she's all cuddly and goodie good shoes, then the next she has this evil grin on her face where she wants everyone to die and then the next moment Lauress tortures a guy in front of her and then she berates him one minute and kisses him the next.
What kind of tragic love story is this?
The sidekick characters are also confusing. Hilda is being kidnapped by thugs and one of the presumably heroic sidekick characters doesn't care and doesn't recognize Hilda's face when the apparent hero Roderique attempts to talk to Hilda to stay away from Lauress.
At just 10 volumes that are rather short, I could easily continue reading this series but dammit, the plot is so stupid and the artwork a hit-and-miss that I feel like I'd be wasting my time. You have been warned.
This is meh, meh, meh and meh. The beginning was okay but then I didn`t know what happened anymore. Characters popped up out of nowhere, declaring love to the heroin out of thin air. A fight between the two men that are apparently the love interest and we are told that one of them destroyed the other love interest people.
The main heroine is not better, I don`t understand her personality or her goals besides that she want's to find her missing memorize which can be interesting if we get more information about it. Plus her personality goes from sweet at one moment to wanting a guys bead on a plate the other, to turn sweet again when the guy get`s killed.
I might pick up the rest of the series just to give it another chance, but I`m not sure.
A ten z blizną Grzmottera to taki przymilny xd
Edit: robię reread, bo yarn god mi pożyczył dalsze części tego Meisterwerk
Interesting but confusing. It wasn’t until I reached the author’s note at the back that it was mentioned there was a book or series before this? Maybe? And this is a separate new series from the perspective of different characters, such as the villain? Maybe? Oh, I’m still confused.
Anyways, pretty art. Tons of longing. Fairly good, what we are told, re-match fight? But it really did feel this volume was a sequel and the meat of the story happened prior (why did the girl lose her memory, why is she in this town, why is she a dancer, why do these guys adore her?) to this volume.
I’ll probably try reading the second volume and see where this is headed; if any of the questions will be answered.

The art ALONE is making me fall head over heels for this obscure series, but add on to the fact of the mysterious love triangle, implied reincarnations, and more?! SIGN ME UP!!!
Klassiker gehen immer!
Lost Memories Hilda is a dancer living with amnesia, unable to recall anything about her past except faint, haunting fragments that refuse to surface. Her only clue comes in the form of a mysterious man who watches over her from the shadows—Laures.
Two Men, One Truth Just as Laures begins to win her trust, another man, Roddrick, appears claiming to be her lover. According to him, Laures is no savior at all, but a demon who cruelly tore them apart.
A Past Wrapped in Lies Caught between two men, two stories, and a past she cannot reach, Hilda must uncover the truth herself. But the deeper she goes, the more dangerous the revelations become, especially when the line between love and manipulation starts to blur.
The U.S. editions of this series were cheap and poorly done, but I loved the original series. VERY bad boy falls in love with girl he can't have. Let the tragedy begin.
