First volume of the new CMX dramatic series. Sometimes it takes a person who has shared your dream to make it come true. For Reiji, a gifted violinist with no formal training, success may be the key to escaping from his miserable home life. Mitsuko was also a prodigy until an accident left her unable to play. Now she is going to help Reiji achieve the goal she could never attain. Passions and rivalries play out against the backdrop of the music world, while Reiji's family background provides intense, emotional drama.

I'll definitely commend this volume for grabbing you right from the beginning and not really wasting time going around introducing characters. The story is interesting and definitely what keeps you going through the volume. Unfortunately it isn't for the art. You'll find weird proportions all over the place and very unnatural looking hands. In fact if you pay attention you'll see that the artist tries to minimize the drawing of hands and feet as you'll run across arrangements time and again where the feet are cut off or the hands are ending up covered. I'll probably continue the series because of the interesting, albeit somewhat artificially injected drama, is interesting but I hope to see the artist's skills improve as well.

A very different Anime from what I am used to. The main character is a violinist, a child prodigy, who will gladly kill himself in practice if it means winning because winning means getting his sister out of the abusive household where she still lives. But of course, it isn't that easy. I liked the story but wasn't as thrilled with the graphics. I had a hard time telling who was who and what gender anybody was. It wasn't meant to be a gender-bender story. Too much happened in volume 1 but it played out in such a slow way that when it happened it was too quick. While I don't think I will pick up volume two, it's nice to have proof that not all anime is alike.

It is an old art, the way the mangaka made it. I planned of not finishing it but there is something that made me continue, I just don't know what. The story is alright, not usual but it did not move me.

Was a pretty good book. Totally cried, but I don't think that it takes much to make me cry, so moving on. I really enjoy the musical theme here, and really can't wait to see how it develops.
