Synopsis:

Three's a Crowd

Things get even more complicated when ex-paparazzi Maki makes a play for Yuniko's affections. Now it's a race between Maki and Ryu to get ahold of an old book that once belonged to screen idol Akira Nanae.

But none of this may even matter when Akira's former agent sees Ryu's latest performance and makes him an offer he can't refuse.

My Thoughts:

In this volume, Ryu and Maki battle it out to see which of them will be better for Yuniko. They decide to make their contest one of thievery instead of fighting it out. The goal: steal Akira Nanae's favorite book from the American that was his agent bringing it to Japan so that he can sell it for a ton of money. They end up pulling it off, but also lead Bob's bodyguards on a wild goose chase. They seemed to have fun, though.

Bob finds them anyway and once he sees Ryu on stage acting, he's so moved he invites him to come to Hollywood with him! Ryu doesn't hesitate to say yes which makes Yuni feel insecure, but she's determined not to stay in the way of his dreams. It ends up leading up to a big misunderstanding and Maki making a move. I feel bad for that guy. He really doesn't stand a chance, but with Yuni's emotions in so much turmoil, Maki's emotions might end up being the ones toyed with. Especially after that big fight Yuni and Ryu have when she tries to apologize to him. Sanae was right to yell at him. An emotional Yuni ends up getting herself into quite a bit of trouble and an unexpected person comes to her rescue. Who will Yuni choose?

Series Review Mostly spoiler free. A bit of wrap up from Volume 10 but nothing that gives away any surprises.

This was one of my favorite volumes. Although things were handled in a bit of a teen angst-y way, this volume touches on some pretty big relationship topics and brings out some very real feelings in the characters which was fun.
