Third time is definitely not the charm with this villain. Ryan must rescue his kidnapped son from a slave-labor camp far to the north, avoid killer androids on his scent, and get home safely. The landscape and the ruins of the old mining buildings work against him. And that dread return nemesis is looking, sensing that an enemy has returned. (That is, when he's not rape-murdering women in his lust, and killing his goons in a fit of temper.)

Enjoyable Ryan side quest. Couldn't help but have The Terminator theme or a visual of Chopping Mall in my head. I must say there are certain situations that could be just implied rather than going into detail. Does nothing to enhance the storty. It's not just this book but the series as a whole. Overall an above average entry. Kate keep your head down... never mind.

Ryan goes to rescue Dean on his own. Runs into his old Russkie enemy. Also starts in motion some killer robots that leads into the next book.

A interesting break in the story line, to get Ryan away from the others and change up the plot. I also enjoyed the unknown meanace that is added to the story and look forward to seeing where it will appear.
