Things aren't always as they seem. That's the Parks' and Brenans' opinion when Katie's babysitting gig uncovers a plot to steal paintings from an art show, and the ''Eagle's Nest Gang's'' bike ride makes them witnesses to a crash and a mysteriously disappearing van. What will happen next? How about the return of Simon Addleman and his bumbling henchmen? Join Jonathan Park, Jessie Brenan, and the gang as they face kidnappers, hijackers, and threats against the creation museum. Return to Hidden Cave is adapted from Jonathan Park radio episodes 9-12 in the audio album Jonathan Park Volume The Adventure Begins . The Jonathan Park project provides children and adults with scientific evidence that is in harmony with the Word of God. This is our Father's world. God created it. We can explore it. So, live the adventure!
Every time I reread these, I can hear the episode in my head, I know them that well. But it's funny - having read the books, now that I'm re-listening to the audios, I've been thinking of the book while I listen! 😂
In this third book of the Jonathan Park Adventure series, the Park and Brenan families continue on their quest to open a creation museum at the Brenan ranch near Abiquiu, NM. Jonathan Park, his dad Dr. Kendall Park, a vertebrate paleontologist, his mom Angela, his older sister Katie, and his grandfather Benjamin, Jessie Brenan, her dad Jim, her mom Martha, and her younger brother Ryan, and their friends are working hard to make their dream a reality. But how will their plans be affected by art thieves who kidnap Katie and Ryan, a mysterious van that crashes then disappears resulting in threats against the creation museum, and the return of Simon Addleman with his bumbling henchmen who now work for electronics hijackers?
Return to Hidden Cave is adapted from the Jonathan Park radio episodes 9-12 in the audio album Jonathan Park Volume I: The Adventure Begins. Both audio stories and books are designed to provide children and adults with scientific evidence that is in harmony with the Word of God, primarily on the subject of evolution but on other topics too. The plots are exciting, there is nothing morally objectionable, and it is always refreshing to read about even fictional situations where people make life decisions based upon their faith in God. I also like the portrayal of good family relationships. We have enjoyed listening to some of the audio compact discs which we borrowed from friends, and I have enjoyed reading the books which include a few scenes not included in the radio drama episodes. I, for one, hope that there will be more radio dramas and more books.
