I love Connor Healy!

"You know you're my future, right?"
"Don't do that."
"Do what?"
"Promise me forever. Not when so much is standing in our way."

That sentence alone is a HUGE understatement! Connor and Amy's relationship was never easy. Between an abusive (hopefully) soon to be ex-husband, family drama which leads to a "faux" relationship with the town whore and an unexpected pregnancy, their relationship has been anything but easy. But 1 thing is for sure, Connor has never doubted his feelings for Amy and Amy has never doubted the lengths Connor would go to protect his family.

No spoilers from me other than this books is definitely one of my favorites in the Mitchell Family Series. Letting Go will always be my favorite because that is where it started but Saving Us is a close 2nd! I have loved Connor from book 1 and am so glad he is finally getting what he deserves... A chance at happiness!

I was so glad that I let that Cowboy give me a ride, because he was right. My life would never be the same. - Amy

I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC of this book from Jennifer Foor. This book was AMAZING....just like the rest of the series. I am truly sad to see this series end. I absolutely loved the Mitchell/Healy Clan so much. I will write a FULL review once the book is released!!!!! I will say now that if you are a fan of this series this book is a MUST READ!!!!!!

Another great part to a great series. I thought this one seemed a little shorter than the previous releases, but it was nice getting to see more of Amy and Conner's story while catching up with the rest of the fam :) Looking forward to the next installment.

I love the Mitchell family. Hell, I feel like I'm part of the family, I'm so committed to their stories. All the men are hot, alpha male dream lovers. And I love all the characters.

I really enjoy the entire Mitchell Series, but Letting Go was always my favorite. Well that was till I read Saving Us. Now I have two favorites in this series.

Of course Conner made it really easy to love this book. What I loved most about this book was that Conner never changed. He loved Amy to pieces and that was never even questioned, but he still said and did things that made you want to just either kiss or smack him.

This book was action packed and it didn't stop to the very end. I loved every moment of this book. Every chapter had me on the edge of your seat and it was so damn hard when I had to put it down.

I promise you if you enjoyed this series as much as I did, then you will absolutely love this one. It was the perfect ending to a great series.

Thank you so much Jennifer Foor for giving me the opportunity to BETA read this book. I'm so completely honored and grateful for the opportunity.

The story 4
Characters- 4.5
Cover- 1 Seriously, this is one of the worst covers ever. I wish the entire series looked more like Letting Go- book 1 in the series. Or maybe something else completely it look REALLY trashy, which will deter readers and they will miss out on the great story.

I love books about families so I knew I would really enjoy this series. Overall the characters were great. I loved Noah and Izzy, these kids cracked me up. Van, Colt, Ty and Miranda's story lines were awesome and to see the evolution of their relationship was great! The pranks alone had me laughing out loud. I was waiting to learn more about Conner and his relationship with Amy was HOT. I do not like books where their is infidelity but Amy's abuse was just horrible and Conner was her hero. Overall the series was a solid 4.25 Stars!

Amy and Conner finally have their happy ending...or so they thought. Amy's past eventually catches up with her. Her psycho husband just would not leave her alone. She is still constantly getting harassed and threatened and finally when Amy's salon is vandalized they decide to move to Kentucky.

Despite the fact that she misses her friends and her father - she adapts well and finds happiness and contentment in her new life. It helps that she is surrounded by Conner's family most especially Colt and Van. At first she feels guilty for bringing trouble down on their family but Conner and the family constantly reassure her that this wasn't her fault. Just when you think everything could be perfect, Rick finds his way back into their life.

"You don't know how long I've wanted to be surrounded by a family. The longer I'm around them, the more I love them."

At book six I thought that this series would get stale but to me it still remains as interesting as the first one was. What keeps it fresh is the fact that different characters are featured in every two books or so and we get to read two POV in each story. I love that even if the book is about Conner and Amy we still hear about Colt and Van, Ty and Miranda and also the kids. Think about it, what other series includes the whole family in a series? I love the family dynamics. Their bickering never gets old. To this day just thinking about their antics make me laugh. The Christmas incident in the last book was just over the top hilarious.

"....you can always count on me to be there. I will be the best daddy to our child and I will love you for all the days of my life."

So about Conner and Amy... I was glad that Conner was finally able to find "the one". He was the black sheep for so long , I was happy that his love for Amy and their child was able to turn him around. Like his sister and his cousins he deserved his happy ending too, right? Amy was perfect for him. After all she was put through with her so-called husband, she deserved the happiness and content that the family as a whole provided for her.

"I want you because I love you like I have never loved before. If you don't want me, I know I will never find another that compares."

What I would have changed in this book?

First the cover. As the series progresses the book covers just seem to get worse. Book 5's cover was more acceptable than 6. Loved the first 4 covers. This one, not so much...

The other thing is the positions Conner put Amy in. Yeah the narration were steamy and terrific but are those positions even possible with a pregnant belly?

I was also very unsatisfied with the Epilogue. Some stories just don't need one. Looking five years ahead especially if there's going to be a book 7 just seemed insignificant and unnecessary to me.

I have loved every book in this series so far, Saving Us was perfect. Amy and Connor have an amazing connection and chemistry together. The twists and turns in this book keep you wanting more, its hard to put this book down. Rick Amy's ex takes ex husband to a crazy new level and crazy heather redeems herself in this book. Connor will stop at nothing to protect Amy and his unborn child, having a baby really brings out a more mature side of Connor.

I love the banter, practical jokes and family feel with Connor, Amy, Colt, Van, Ty, and Miranda there is never a dull moment and they always keep you laughing.

I love this Mitchell series, you will not be disappointed.

You would think by the sixth book it would start to lack in interest.....SO WRONG....I have to say the Jennifer Foor is an AMAZING writer. Her Mitchell Family Series is the BEST. Always interesting, Always exciting, I laugh, I cry, I yell at the characters. I love the Drama, Romance, Passion to the point I find it so hard to put down any of these books. I was actually sad to think that this was the last book in the series and came to find out there will be more.....Seriously this should be a mini series on a TV cable station.

Pov: male & female

Main characters: Connor & Amy

Minor characters: Rick (her husband), Miranda (his sister), Heather (Ty's ex)

My thoughts:

These stories are not improving. The writing isn't changing at all. There are still ridiculous plot points. The stories are still long and ramble a little. No one seems mature or developed.

There are anecdotes that are supposed to be cute and charming but they don't come off that way. For example, Connor was caught with a girl when he was 16 and jumped out her window into his truck to get away. Her father knew that would happen and moved the truck. Connor ended up breaking his leg, shattering both elbows and knocking himself out. He retold this as a humorous story to lighten the mood. How is a child in the hospital funny.

Connor chose baby names and picked the name of a stray raccoon in contrast to his father's middle name. How is that comparable.

It seems the only time the author gets creative is when they're having sex. But it happens almost every chapter and lasts for pages. The actual story isn't that good. I can't see how all these crazy events happen to this family.

None of the conflicts are internal. Everything is external and it's getting ridiculous. Actual internal conflict is brought up and thrown away within a few sentences. Amy mentions being insecure about their ages, since she's older. But after the run in with his ex she moves past it and never brings it up again. It could have been a huge growing moment for them as individuals and as a couple but it wasn't. It comes back once at the end when she wonders if her vagina will go back to normal after she gives birth. It comes off like a throwaway line when it could have been an important relatable plot point.

Synopsis:

(Takes place immediately after last book)

Amy has moved in with Connor and they love it. His family has embraced her and its all wonderful.

A week after leaving Rick she decides to go back to work at the salon. Connor is worried but she assures him she'll be fine, since she and her dad had all the locks changed.

Rick calls her and threatens her. She doesn't tell Connor because she doesn't want him to worry. He knows something's wrong.

The whole family goes back to Kentucky for the anniversary of Connor's father's death. At the cemetery he's distant and she doesn't like it, but she doesn't push.

The whole family gets ready for dinner and she asks how he's dealing with his father's death. He gets angry.

At dinner some of his old friends are there and see him. He had slept with one of the girls and she flirts with him and invites him out. Miranda introduces Amy as his pregnant girlfriend.

Amy gets upset because she felt ignored. She goes to the bathroom and he follows and apologizes. She goes into the stall and the girl follows her.

The girl tells her Connor is going to leave her. That he's never settled down and won't with her. That she tricked him into getting pregnant. Miranda comes and yells at the girl. Savannah breaks up the fight and the girls leave the dinner.

Amy goes to his house and thinks he's going to leave her, or get tired of her, then she feels the baby move. Connor comes rushing in and is defensive. He explains it was just sex with that girl but Amy doesn't want to hear it. She lets him feel the baby and they apologize.

They move past it and go back home. She goes back to work and Heather shows up. Heather tells her she thinks Rick killed his first wife. That she found out and Rick threatened her. That she had no money and needs to get away.

Amy gives Heather money to get out and tells Connor and Miranda what happened. She's worried Rick could hurt Mirandas kids.

They decide to hire an investigator.

Rick calls Amy and threatens her and Connor. Connor overhears and is furious at Rick. They get a call from the police saying her salon has been vandalized.

They go and her dad shows up. Connor and her dad decide to get Amy out of town until the cops can find Rick.

They go back to Kentucky. Heather calls and tells them she found Rick's 2nd ex wife. They meet up and find out Heather tracked down Rick's first wife's family and seduced his son Jessie. They fell in love and he took her in and found her a job.

She found Rick's second wife and took Amy and Connor to meet her. They find out Rick had an affair with her and wouldn't leave his first wife. She got pregnant and gave him an ultimatum. His first wife died and he claimed it was accidental.

He and the 2nd wife married and raised the baby girl. Rick became a suspect in his 1st wife's death and started beating the 2nd wife. Eventually he took the baby and left her.

Amy finds out her marriage isn't legal since Rick had illegally changed his name to get away from the 1st wife's family.

Connor decides they should get married as soon as they can prove to the courts that her marriage to Rick isn't legitimate.

One day she's babysitting and Rick shows up. He takes her hostage and takes her to the main house, with Heather and the housekeeper.

Connor comes home early for lunch and finds Noah, Colt's son, home alone. He asks where Amy is and Noah explains the man took her and she was crying.

Connor loses it and his mothers boyfriend, the town sheriff, is called in. They call the main house to find the housekeeper and go check on her when she doesn't answer.

Connor sees Rick threatening Amy and her belly with a knife and attacks. Rick pulls out a gun and Connor gets shot while they wrestle. Amy gets the gun and shoots and kills Rick.

Connor pulls through and they move back home. They build their new house and Amy had the baby. They name her Camille.

They get married and are happy. 5 years later they have another daughter and son and are pregnant again.

Well, well, well....that cowboy told her he would give her a good ride and Conner Healey did just that. In book 6 of the Mitchell Family Series we get to see more of Conner and Amy's story.

From the beginning if their relationship there was drama and angst, but I had no idea the intensity of what was to come in this story! As much as these two have gone through in a year, it is no doubt their love could stand the test of time. The only thing standing in their way is one man...one cruel and mentally disturbed man.

We see a repeat of all our favorite characters and everyone comes to the aid of their family. I LOVED the banter of the men...Ty, C❤lt, and Conner. It is warm and welcoming how well this family comes together to help the other when in need....even the whore Heather gets a hi-five from me....wow, yes I just said that.

Favorite lines...

"Uncle Conner does this mean you and Aunt Amy are married now?" ~ Bella

"I just hope your second husband doesn't turn out to be a serial killer. ~ Conner"

"You just wait till you have my last name darlin. ~ Conner"

5 AMAZING stars!!!

I loved this book! I'm obsessed with the Mitchell Family series. It's so good! I love when a new book in the series comes out and I get to dive into the Mitchell Family antics again!

Savings Us starts off where we left off in Wanting More. It's a continuation of Conner and Amy's story.

Amy and Connor are finally able to settle down a little. Amy is pregnant, but still unfortunately married. Her abusive, lying, controlling husband refuses to give her a divorce. He's hiding information from Amy that could free her, and she's determined to find out what it is. For now, there living on Connor's cousins farm. Amy and the baby are safe there and to Connor, that's all that matters. Before long though, her husband rears his ugly head and to keep Amy safe, they leave NC for Kentucky to stay with his family. They settle into life in there safe and happy bubble. Amy keeps getting threatening calls and text's from her husband and this time he's threatened her life. Amy and Connor decide, albeit begrudgingly to accept help from Heather, everyone's enemy. She has information to help get Amy out of her marriage. But doing so puts everyone is harms way. Amy's husband isn't about to let her go, and soon chaos and tragedy follow. Connor will do anything to protect his blaze. And that's just what he does!

I loved this story. I liked that we got to see inside Connors head a little more. I didn't like him in the prior books..so it was nice to be able to see who he is. He's got such a great heart.

This book was of course full of witty, hilarious banter. It wouldn't be a Mitchell Book without some funny banter, pranks, and cursing of course!!

We also get to check up on the others as well. Colt and Savannah, Miranda and Ty and of course the kids and mama's and papa's of te family.

I can't say enough good things about this book. It's was heartwarming, funny, sad, a little angst, joy, and finally a HEA for these two! Can't aait to read the next one!

Happy Reading :)

Jennifer does it again! Saving us is everything I expected and more. All of her characters have chemistry that you can actually feel and boy oh boy do you feel Conner and Amy's connection to one another. This book starts off where book 5 "Wanting More" left off. The different twists and turns in this book keep you on the edge of my seat and glued to the pages. I was pleased with how this book turned out, and each of those twists and turns would floor me time and time again because I wouldn't be expecting what would happen. But to me that only makes a book better when you can't predict what will occur. Those are my favorite kinds of books. Amy and Conner go through a lot in this book but always manage to put there love for one another first... After a fight or two anyways and some steamy make-up sex (sometimes middle argument sex). When Rick finally does make his appearance both Connor and Amy will stop at nothing to save the ones they love and they get help in the least likely of places.

The side characters in this book, Colt, Van, Ty, and Miranda help make everything funny. With those four and add Conner and Amy to the mix, you can expect a good laugh every couple of pages. And they don't disappoint one bit. I know one thing I would hate to be on the receiving end of their pranks... But then again, I don't think I would ever want to make Mrs. Foor mad either ;) , she seems like she can come up with some pranks. As all the other books in this series, it will not disappoint and is well worth the read. Conner is as cocky as ever and Amy is a stubborn and sassy as ever and I'm sure you'll fall in love with them even more.

PLEASE READ THIS SERIES IN ORDER or you'll spoil it for yourself.

I have enjoyed every book in the Mitchell Family series and Saving Us book 6 was also a wonderful read. From the first page I felt like I was catching up with good friends. The storyline was gripping and fast paced with lots going on plus I love how you get to know what is happening with everyone in the family and not just the main characters. Jennifer Foor somehow manages to write a new book every few months which keeps the characters at the forefront of your mind and makes it easy when starting each book.
I highly recommend this series!

Another fabulous Mitchell installment!! Jennifer Foor never disappoints!! It's hard to review these books without spoiling anything. Connor has changed so much as a man since book 1. It's been fun to follow. Amy has amazing character and strength to continue to fight Rick. Rick's secrets come out during this book. It's amazing to read. It means so much to Amy and even Rick's daughter. I can't wait for the next book and am super excited that it's from Colt and Savannah's POV!!

Loved Conner and Amy's story. Amy's husband I guess you can call him that was cray cray, he was missing too many screws. Amy was on the run her her crazy abusive husband and she finally found a man that loves her unconditionally. Her life was how she wanted it, she was having a baby and in love and she had a man that was in love with her and would do anything to protect her and their baby. I look forward to the rest of the Mitchell series

Not my favorite book or the series. I felt like the series was supposed to follow the men of the family more than the women and I didn't like how some of the most important or crazy things that happened to this couple where told in Amy's pov. And then would just switch over and it would be a quick sweep of Connors thoughts.

And the cover deterred me a lot. The other books covers make them all look so great and this cover almost makes it look....trashy.

even Colts mother. I think 10 books total in this series would be good.
