Dave, Julie, and their friends at the Farm are trying to rebuild their lives, enjoy some simple family pleasures, and let their guard down ever so slightly. The action picks up as they discover it might be too soon for that. When our heroes are called upon to once again save the dwindling population of the town of Tazewell from invaders, they discover that promises made to the most vulnerable among them are not being kept. The townies learn the harshest of lessons and are bluntly reminded that their days of consumerism and welfare are over. They’re told, “If you wanna eat, you gotta work; and you’d better decide to stand up for yourselves because relying on the generosity of the Farm to feed you and defend you just ended.” This is another emotionally charged, faith-based story by David Saylor, depicting a mostly Christian community trying to do right as the world crumbles around them. Finally deleting this trash from my kindle. Got 41% into the book and only one section about conflict. Raise kids. Check. Learn about Jesus. Check. Bible study. Check. Conflict- none. Waste morphine when a $.20 bullet or knife would solve the problem - not believable.
Books 1 and 2 were so good. Book 3 was slow, but okay. Book 4- boring. Book5 - fell asleep 2x before I wrote this review and deleted the book.
This book will make you cry! It is amazing the thought and care the authors put into this book to make it seem real. I would recommend you start reading this series from the beginning. Each book builds on the one before it. It also gives you a timeline to follow. In a matter of months the world as we know it ends and we are back to a world with no law and order or morals. Everyone is just out for themselves. Violence is king and terror is queen. Excellent book!
Threats always occur even when they're trying to be eliminated
David set up wonderful farm And with it a family and community of Christian god fearing and god loving people The amount of people who asked to be baptized and turn their lives to Christ in this book is absolutely amazing.
Enjoying the series very much, except I hope that the majority of people are not as bad as the people depicted in the town, and I hope those with knowledge will be more sharing before the bad happens
This one was so much of an emotional roller coaster. I enjoyed every single page. A definite recommend! Such a way to tell a story without the profanity and vulgarity is refreshing.
I used to really like this series the first few books were good. But now it has become just nothing but a televangelist revival so I’m done with it. I almost never abandon a series but enough is enough.
