I am an author, meditation guide and temporal alchemist. After publishing 15 books non-fiction books, I've just published my 1st novel, Soulwaves which is a potential future history of planet Earth and humanity. I have now written the prequel/sequel to this novel in the form of 12 short stories and tall tales.

I love exploring how the mind works (or doesn't) and reading the esoteric with the aim of making it exoteric.

Currently exploring how to bend time and space, how to tune into future memories and how authors can channel their future self who knows the words they have yet to write (or something like that !!)

I knew Tom Evans way back when he was helping out writers, and picked his new book up with a viewpoint of getting myself back into a writing or productivity flow. But this book is much bigger than that, dealing out some neuro-scientific brain principles, and some spiritual and esoteric whole-mind theories towards different zones of doing, danger and ultimately, being.

The author details several zones in the three categories, with six levels or states of each, diagrammed in a hexagonal format which fits together with other major zones to produce super zones. Readers of this ebook also have access to an online ecourse which provides additional content for meditation and creativity exercises to get us into a zone of being.

I greatly enjoyed reading this book. I found the author's perspective on different zones interesting and enlightening. There were tips and ideas that I will be able to apply to my own creative endeavors going forward. I also really enjoy listening to Tom Evans' podcast called The Zone Show.

The ideas in this book didn't particularly resonate with me, but IO can see how some people might find the book to be motivational. I feel it would have benefited from having practical tips and examples.

How to rate this one. Difficult. There were some chapters that virtually YELLED AT ME from the pages -- the section on the creative zone was exactly what I needed to hear. Some of the other zones certainly spoke to me, but the rest just kind of mumbled, rambled, or spoke in tongues.

I appreciate what the author was going for, but some of the sections seem forced as he tried to make his honeycomb pattern consistent through the book.

Some of the content, too, is a little more "airy-fairy" than applicable, for me. I'll be referring to some of the early chapters -- the Creative Zone and the Time Zone especially -- when I need encouragement, but the later zones just didn't speak to me in the same way.
