We're either going into a season of change, in a season of change, or heading towards a season of change - in any circumstance, our lives will encounter change as a constant throughout our lives. In her transparency and wisdom, Andi Andrew provides practical tools and encouragements for all of us so we can not only brave the changes we experience, but grow from them and allow them to form us into the image of Christ. Through personal stories of uprooting her and her family's life of pastoring in New York to stepping into a new season of life and ministry in South Carolina, Andi not only has great wisdom for how to choose healthy rhythms and rest when navigating the pain and grief that comes with transition, she points to realities that she lived out. This book is for anyone in any season looking for wisdom in confronting the difficulties that come with transition - although we may not all be in it right now, the better prepared we are for what may lay ahead, the better equipped we are to navigate change with health and foresight of how God has great lessons for us in the tussle.

This book is so good!

I believe it will bring you wisdom, breakthrough, and freedom as it helps you navigate the many changes and transitions of life, wanted and unwanted, because it points you to God – the one true Healer, Teacher, Guide, and bringer of Life and Freedom.

Andi is honest and engaging as she tells the story of her own major life changes over the last few years - the challenges and triumphs. The principles in every chapter are built on the foundation of the truth of the Bible. She adds many practical suggestions and tools from her lessons learned in her journey. She addresses topics such as a wholistic approach to healing and health for the spirit, soul, and body, defining different types of transition, how to grieve, and recover, rest and rebuild. I also really appreciated how each chapter concluded with ways to start applying the principles covered with Building on The Rock – Scripture Meditation, Reflection Questions, and Guided Prayer.

Andi Andrew is the author of many Bible studies and devotionals for women. Her latest, "Braving Change: Release the Past, Welcome Growth, and Trust Where God Is Leading You" is well-suited for anyone going through a change or transition in her life. Andrew writes with candor and transparency, sharing her own difficulties with change. This book consists of 10 chapters, each of which ends with a Scripture meditation, reflection questions, and guided prayer. Andrew refers to each transition as either a mountaintop (joyful), valley (painful), or plateau (in-between) experience. I really appreciated how Andrew kept referring back to Scripture and reminding her readers to keep their eyes on God.

This would be a fantastic book for any woman going through a season of change (and let's face it, who isn't?). Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

This book is a must on the read list! I saw Andi in person speak at a women’s conference and couldn’t get over how much we seemed similar and felt like I was listening to my best friend. Fast forward a year later I went to grab a summer read and saw this book on my shelf. I decided this would be the read probably something easy, full of laughter. While I laughed and it was easy to read it was soul challenging, healing and felt like the wounds of my heart were revealed and being healed. Every chapter was confirmed word in my Spirit in a way that only the Holy Spirit could do through her obedience to write as raw and real as she did. The questions and prayers at the end set me on a path of deep healing and challenging my mindset to fixate beyond myself and onto my Heavenly Father.

Read the book. See for yourself.

Braving change is what I imagine it was like for the early church to receive a letter from Paul. Encouraging, loving, condemning, hopeful, and more encouragement. Andi has used her own life experience and lessons to help others recognize the changes, small or big, in their own lives to be able to navigate with integrity into new seasons. She's backed it up with scripture and has reflection questions to really dig deep if you desire. This book came at a much needed time in my life and has provided so much needed Biblical truth to face myself, challenges in change, and guidance to surrender it all to Jesus to use for His purpose.

This book is beautifully written. Andi takes her time with you on this journey of change and how it really can impact your life. It honestly feels like you’re sitting down with her and having her pour into you the encouragement you need to press on. My favorite part are the opportunities for reflection at the end of each chapter. Especially when you’re on a journey like change, I think it’s beneficial to process why the change occurred and how it’s affecting you. I also like that there’s a scripture passage along with it, not just questions to ponder.

This will be a resource that I come back to time and again. Change happens. How will I respond?

I read this book off and on over the past 1.5 years. Every chapter felt like a warm hug from a wise friend walking alongside me in a season of change. Her writing is filled with such wisdom, empathy and truth. Every chapter included timely Scripture references as well as some really helpful yet challenging reflection questions and space to answer them. Would recommend to other Christians facing a season of change and transition
