I'm on the Goodreads page for this book...and the blurb is in another language. German, I think? I don't know. But my copy is in English. Just thought I'd clarify that Switched my edition to the English one, so you can just ignore that.
Also, I am a MASSIVE fan of the Fairy Tail anime. Some story arcs are definitely better than others (I liked the Tower of Heaven arc, the Edolas arc and I like the current Grand Magic Games arc. I hated the Key of the Starry Heavens arc, which- thank God- is only in the anime), but overall I think it's a good show. But the English dub for the current season has not been released yet. *dies* So I decided to turn to the manga to satisfy my need for Fairy Tail!
The only thing that slightly bothered me is that the illustrations are in black and white. But that's a minor complaint. You can never go wrong with Fairy Tail!
4/5 Another solid volume of Fairy Tail in the over long Grand Magic Games story Arc. We finally get more information and development on the Eclipse Gate and how it pertains to a Lucy. We also get more backstory on the dragons, Zeref, and Acnologia.
We also head into the final day of the games. Events have lead to slight roster changes in Fairy Tail and a huge power shift in Sabre Tooth after Sting and Rogue lost their fight to Natsu and Gajeel.
The arc is going well enough but I’m ready for it to be over but I think we have another 3-4 volumes left.
Natsu, Gray, Loki, and Princess Fiore prominently on the cover of Volume 36.
Now I'm finished with the volumes from the main series that I own at the moment. What I love about this series is it's not about romance, but about the love we have for our friends. I think that is the most precious message of all... love can be in so many beautiful forms. Also there is a lot of awesome action in this series that even this Shojo lover enjoys! I'm excited to read more and finally finished this series as I get the next volumes, but I'm also in need of a break too. Next up will be Fairy Tail Zero and then I will choose between Fruits Basket, Sailor Moon, or Monthly Girl's Nozaki-Kun :)
Graaaaaay! Luxuuuuuuuus!! and...Jura-saaaaaaan!!! 😫😫😫😫💖💖💖💖 You guys are awesome! Sooo cool! To be honest, I wanted Jura-san to win the battle with Luxus because Jura-san is a member of Seiten madoushi. However, I was so excited!! My heart was beaten so much hardly while I was reading this scene. This volume became one of the best volumes for me🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Okay, what is up with shelving one of our main characters? Seriously! This better have an awesome payoff.
Okay, that's out of my system. Now... this was an enjoyable read. The tournament goes on and we get perhaps my favorite five person Fairy Tail team ever in Erza, Gray, Juvia, Laxus and Gajeel. Holy crap, I am loving this grouping.
We also get more of Mavis, and holy goodness, I think I may love her a little bit. :)
We also get to talk to a dragon who is awesome. And see some changes in some of the other guilds, which are kind of awesome and kind of not. It was great. I hate all the having to wait for the next issue...

Fairy Tail is pushing hard and rising up the ranks one battle after another. Digging deep and persevering is two big traits of the beloved guild! We learn more about the history of Dragons and we also see Fairy Tail make a quick change of plans...because much like the Fast and Furious franchise, nothing is more important than family/guild members! This is a fun volume which I felt flew by...but in a good way, as you should be itching for the next volume upon completing this one! Also, we have the introduction of the Hungry Wolf Knights! Jampacked goodness in another solid volume of Fairy Tail!
ENG So I read from volume 36 to 40. And I must admit that these volumes have often made me smile. Fairy Tail is also about friendship, and I love that kind of moment. A little thrill for some passages. I had a great time in the pages of these volumes !
1. I loved how Sting reacted when Lector was blasted. You can hurt his friends, he can be defeated, but touch his best friend/cat and there will be hell to pay, (and then Rogue immediately hugging his cat was kind of sweet too).
2. It was also great to see Natsu needing to be tied up so he didn't just immediately go rescue Lucy with no plan. It just shows how close those two really are and how much she means to him.

Probably the best part of this volume was seeing the power that dragon slayer magic has for outside of the battlefield. Wendy was just so impressive with her abilities in the beginning portion of the volume. The opening scene at Sabor Tooth shock me though but the events after get more and more interesting as we see what happens in the final battle of the Great Magic Games. I loved everything about this but there was just something that didn't make it a 5 star for me.
once again fairy tail serves by coming together and having one another’s back. their comradery is so strong. when lucy was captured they put their head together to work as a team. also mavis—the first master—really showcased her strategic abilities in the volume, which hopefully helps ft to obtain the WIN OF THE GRAND MAGIC GAMES!! We’ll see….
