This is the first book of poems I’ve ever finished-so that should say something! A fantastic group of poems well worth the read.

Strong themes of life by the ocean, interaction with nature and life’s joys and struggles carried through this collection of poems. I enjoyed one or two at a time, especially while at the beach or on the coast, prompting a deeper contemplation of my beach day. These poems are tangible yet deep; You can read without analyzing and absorb the overall gist of the poem, or you can take a more analytic lens and enjoy a thorough dissection of each line!

Readers from coastal Massachusetts will particularly connect with these poems, as the author describes in detail areas of Gloucester, Salem, New Bedford and Cape Cod.

A few of my dog-eared poems: Highlands, Brock Avenue, Supermarket, White Light, Dunes of Monomoy and Middle Born
