The setting: Alstone
The Hero(s): Weston Cavendish - one of “The Four” who are the Kings of Alstone College. His brother is Caiden who fell for their stepsister Winter in the first three books. Weston is the computer genius of the group and while they were investigating their step-mother Christine in the first books, West worked with his hacker friend known as “Mercury”. He is now working with both “Mercury” and “Xenon” doing jobs on the dark web for Kryptos.
The heroine(s): Lena Drummond - younger sister to Cassius, Lena had her own investigation going on during the first three books. She was tracking down leads to an illegal dog fighting ring. Cass treats her like a kid, but she is eighteen, only a year younger than the West.
The Love Story: Lena fell in love with West when she was eight years old but thinks he will never see her as anything but his best friends little sister. However, West starts to feel things when he sees Lena, starting at that first party his father Arlo held at their mansion not long after Winter arrived.
In the beginning there is a lot of yearning, since both West and Lena want each other but think they will never have each other due to the fact that Lena is Cassius’s little sister. However, when West finds out that nearly everyone in his life is keeping a huge secret from him, he is devastated and turns to Lena.
I liked this book as much as the story of Caiden and Winter which I was a bit surprised about. I usually hate it when two people from former stories end up together. I don’t know why but in series where there are a bunch of male friends and books about each from the group, I like it when a new love interest is introduced. It seems lately that every author has to take the main heroine’s friends or someone who has been in the whole series to be the love interest.
Though that didn’t really bother me with this one. I knew from the start that West and Lena had something between them and their story didn’t get beyond a few longing looks in previous books so it was all new in this one. Plus I really liked Lena’s back story. She wasn’t just the best friends sister.

Weston & Lena...Angsty, Hot, Sexy AF!
A Brother's Best-friend Emotional Romantic Suspense which I'd highly anticipated! An awesome combination of Danger, Suspense, Mystery & Secrets that I love this series for ALONG an Emotional overload that made me tear up plenty of times & a Beautiful HEA!
I already Loved Wes & Lena from the previous books & I fell a bit more for them together❤! It was awesome seeing Everyone again😍. DEVOURED this in 6hrs.
NOTE: This is a Standalone, but Its Enjoyed best when read in Sequence! We know Wes & Lena from previous books. I highly recommend Winter+Caiden's Trilogy. It's Awesome!
Weston; Upbeat, Generous, Charming; Is Caiden's Younger brother (1yr gap) & Part of 'the Four' –other 3 being Caiden, Zayde, Cassius– who Rule the Alstone College. Though they're all friends, Like Caid is closer to Zayde, Wes is Closer to Cass. He's a Tech genius & Works Remotely for Promethium as Nitro Along with Xenon & Mercury. They're currently Investigating for His dad's company. His dad Arlo didn't find about Wes' abilities until later here!
Lena; Untamed, Daring, Kickass; is Cassius' Younger sis. She's a year younger than Weston & in last year of High School (I loved seeing Raine & Carter from Trick me Twice here!). Lena along With James (Sort of friend) Has been investigating the Illegal Dog Fighting Ring.
From the Trilogy, I had my suspicions about What'll Happen here. About what Devastates Wes & About Lena's Side Job...I was right!! And I loved digging deeper into their Feelings & pasts here. They've experienced so much...& Came on the stronger side.
Lena fell in Love with Weston when she was 8. Their mutual love for Computers is endearing to me! The 1st few chapters show their years of angst thinking that the other doesn't Desire. But when Wes finds that Everyone in his life was Keeping a Secret, he's Devastated & Gravitates to Lena for Solace. As Hurt heals, Sparks fly, they grow close. But What happens when he finds that Lena was keeping Secrets too?
I've to say, I was sad how Wes found the Truths...He needed time, but I'm happy when they listened to the reasons, He kinda understood.

I Adored seeing Caid+Winter here! I'm excited for Cass' & Zayde's books in future, I hope we get Kinslee (I'm happy she didn't become a complication here, if you know what I mean..), James & Arlo's stories too! Gotta say, James always pleasantly surprises me. It's great to see That Arlo's Relation with Caid & Wes is on a good path. Cass is as Hilarious & Sweet as Ever & We find more about Zayde!

WESTON IS MINE, AND I WILL CUT ANYONE WHO DARES TO SAY OTHERWISE
So now that my PSA is out and about, where do I begin? Ahhhh, this book was so much more than what I expected. I fell for West when almost everyone looked past him and went to the other boys. I loved how he was still badass, but there was a gentleness to him that was HOT AF. He was everything Lena needed.
My sister-wife is one tough cookie. She's such a kick-ass heroine, and I loved how she handled herself and her feelings.
West and Lena was the book I needed to deal with my four withdrawals.
I can't wait for what Becca throws at us next, but I do know I am sooo fucking ready.
Also, don't forget to get that bonus epi ♥

Ahhh! This was everything and more. I have been anticipating West and Lena’s story for some time now and let me tell you, Becca Steele did not disappoint. This book has exceeded all my expectations. I fell for West in Caiden and Winter’s book so to say I was excited to find out his book was next is an understatement. Who am I kidding? I love all the guys! West and Lena’s journey isn’t angsty and I absolutely loved it because it fits the characters. This is like the Hardy Boys meets Nancy Drew solving problems that revolve around Alstone Holdings. I love all the mystery and suspense. And the heat between West and Lena—hot! An epic read!

OMFG! I don't even know where to start with this book! Becca Steele has outdone herself for sure with The Fight In Us. Weston definitely tried to get me murdered when he called me to pick him over Cadien. I really just have no words for how amazing this book is. Becca Steele just gets better and better with every book she writes.
The Fight In Us is one of my most anticipated reads and Becca Steele did not disappoint. The internal struggle Lena and West have about just having the feelings they have is enough to hook you but add in the twist and turns and suspense and there was no stopping. These two are perfect for each other and it just took West getting his head out of his butt for them.
Lies, and betrayal hide around every corner in Alstone and for West it comes from the people closest to him. You really feel his pain when the hits just keep coming. I wanted to hold him and tell him it's okay and maybe just secretly hold him without Cadien knowing.
For every answer Steele gives us she leaves us with five more questions. She sets up the next books in the series while giving us this amazing story. I turned page after page needing more but hoping it never ended.
I'm doing this book no justice but it's a must read, 5 star, friends to lovers, brother's best friend romance. Steele gives us the amazing characters we already love and a fantastic plot, wrapped in her amazing words. This is a must read!

I enjoyed reading this one, though these two are not my favorite characters out of the series.
Also the steamy scenes are still a bit too much for me. I like steam but this is all a bit too exaggerated...
That said, I still read this book in one go.. with some scrolling here and there. I like the mystery and suspense in this series.. makes me want to grab a bowl of popcorn🍿🍿
I am mostly looking forward to Z's book though, and of course his book is the last one in the series..

She gave us an amazing brother's best friend romance and Weston with Lena finally got the spotlight after so long that I was lusting over them...
Seriously, guys!!! If you haven't met THE FOUR yet, you don't know what you're missing!!!
These guys are seriously addictive and the author never disappoints on giving them new adventures to make our hearts beat wildly...
"How the fuck was I meant to survive Weston Cavendish?"
Lena was a character that intrigued me from the first moment that i met her and from back then, I was craving her story with Weston. Yep, she was pretending that she wasn't feeling anything about him, but she couldn't fool us!!! Lena was in love with him since she was eight years old and Wes didn't ever notice her, so she just pretended that her feelings weren't real, even though from time to time she was slipping up...
"Weston wasn't mine. And I had to remember that."
Wes is part of the Four, a very tight unit that are best friends since childhood.
The truth is that these guys can be very intense, but Weston was always the easygoing... He is a computer genius and he is getting involved with shady things, but he likes it!!!
He was a big manwhore, but lately something is changing when Lena Drummond, Cassius's little sister, is around him... But he is trying to fight these weird reactions toward her!!!
"Lena Drummond. The girl I never allowed myself to think about. The one single girl who was completely out of limits. My best friend's sister."
When a big secret that everyone was holding from Weston is coming to the surface, We's world is starting to shake and he is losing his trust on the people that he thought his family...
In a weird way, Lena is the only person that he can count on... and they are coming closer than before...
Until, more secrets are being revealed that are about Lena and Weston is in loss...
Is there really a chance between these two or were they doomed from the start???

Lena was wild and she was fighting really hard for what she wanted and i liked her for that...
And Weston had more layers than you have thought and he pleasantly surprised me in here!!!
Their chemistry was out of charts and the forbidden edge of it, because of Cassius, was exciting me!!!
"How was I supposed to resist him? My defences couldn't handle the full force of his attention."
"Something was pulling me towards her, and I didn't know why. All I knew was, I needed to be near her."
Another amazing ride offered by Becca Steele and I can not wait for more...
She had built so wonderfully this story that I'm catching myself always wondering what will happen next with the rest of the guys???
Who will be next??? My lovely Cassius or my broody Zayde???
And with whom will be paired??? And in what new adventures this bunch will get involved for once again???

She stayed quiet and watched him with girl after girl all the while dying inside. Soon the championed the art of pretending as if he didn't affect her the way he did.
Weston had a complicated childhood. Losing his mother when he was very young messed him up. That is until he gets a hint of how his whole family had been lying to him. They have been keeping major secrets from him and now that they are out , nothing would ever be the same. And on top of that , the one girl who was forbidden to him was now slowly stealing his heart.
Overall Opinion :
This series is just so amazing , Weston and Lena are life! I was in the mood for a contemporary romance and this Author delivered that perfectly to me.
It was a smooth story with a sweet edge to it that I liked a lot.
Both the main Characters were amazing and I could feel the chemistry they had!! What I also liked was the way the author kept us in suspense about the side characters. I want their story so bad!! This book was a continuation of the four series and it's a must that you read those before jumping into this one! A must read for all the brother's best friend trope contemporary romance lovers out there!

It was so good to have a little taste of The Four again!! I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them.
This is Weston Cavendish and Lena Drummond's story. I've always adored Weston and this book just added to that. Wes is best mate's with Cassius, Lena's (at many times overprotective) big brother.
They are trying to track down leads in both of their investigations (continuation from prior books in series). Secrets are exposed and feelings are hurt. Trust is broken, but can also be mended. Their tasks led them to each other.
All this is going on while they trying to get their feelings for each other sorted out. Should they focus on those feelings? Should they put them on the back burner? Will Cass be ok with it? Does Wes truly have feelings or is it all lust?
Little West has grown up and is he HOT! That car scene 🔥🔥🔥 I loved seeing his sweet and vulnerable side with Lena. He wanted to protect and keep her safe. She was undoubtedly reckless and wild. He helped curb that, without clipping her wings.
It was a sweet story filled with mystery and steam. I almost wish we got more of their story. I really enjoyed them. I mean Caiden and Winter pretty much got three books lol.
Zayde needs some lovin'... He is a broken, bad boy!

Weston. Weston, Weston, Weston. I have been so curious about the ‘little brother’ in the group. Well, little brother is no longer little. Weston is just a boy (or rather a man), who is trying to make his father proud while doing the one thing he is good at. Computers. He is the computer whiz in this group.
Besides my own curiosity to know more, I wasn’t sure what I was exactly expecting. It was quickly into the read that I realized I wanted every single possible word she could give on Weston. I may have been curious, but I grew to love this unsure, yet cocky, personality on overdrive, and a heart as big as Texas to the loved ones he cares about.
Becca has written this book effortlessly and flawlessly. She gave our leads, Weston and Lena, a very emotional roller coaster storyline that readers can relate to. Ms. Steele gave us epilogue whores a chance to see more into their family unit’. The unit consisting of Cade, Cassius, Z, Weston, Lena, and of course, Winter. Since this book was so beautifully written, you will get lost in it and next thing you know, you’re two chapters from the end. I DID NOT want it end.

When I've read the first book "The Lies We Tell" from this series, I was convinced one hundred percent that Lena would end up with Zayde in his book.
So, I don’t even have to say how surprised but also slightly disappointed at the same time I was when I discovered this was going to be Lena and Weston’s book.
That was the main reason why I was a little skeptical about this book at first, but once I started reading it, I couldn’t take a break from it.
Not just because of the interesting plot, but also because of the incredible chemistry between Lena and Weston which grew with each page of the book and only got stronger.
Becca has written another wonderful book.
She showed me that authors are the ones who know their characters the best and that the logical solution is not always the perfect one.
Because of all that I can only say:
Expect unexpected!
"The Fight In Us" is a suspense college romance with older brother's best friend and best friend's sister tropes.
Lena is a female character who has constantly amazed me since the beginning of the series with her personality and the bravery that always burns out of her no matter how dangerous the situation is.
Weston is a male character I honestly didn’t care about too much until this book.
In the previous three books, he was a bit of a quiet guy who is a computer nerd, but in this book, he showed his true face and won me over with it.
Lena and Weston are a couple you don’t meet often in books because such relationships don’t have a special tension that can get the reader to the edge with their ups and downs.
But they do have that one little thing...
The feeling of the first crush that makes you feel butterflies in your belly and because of that, I loved them so much.
If you're looking for a sweet but also suspense college romance, then this is the book for you!!!

The Fight In Us was one of my most anticipated book of 2021. The Four Trilogy was one of my favourite books I read last year. I loved every characters n the story. Weston Cavendish n Lena Drummond were one of the characters I came to love in the first 3 books n was really excited to read their story when Becca Steele announced their book. And I have to say Ms. Steele really came through with it with a bang.
This book was so good as much as the previous books. The story n the characters were written so wonderfully. The revelations n twists in this book left me so speechless n shocked like there were so many things I never saw coming.
LENA. LENA. MY STRONG BABY. She was such a badass. Even being that, she was so vulnerable in the inside especially since what happened to her. She went through a really bad trauma that left scarred her but she didn't let that bring her down. Instead she took that as a challenge n worked hard to overcome that trauma. She is reckless n a big risk-taker. She would go to any lengths to protect the people who she cares about.
Weston. DAMN THAT MAN. I NEVER IMAGINED HIM BEING SO 🥵🥵🥵
The Weston I know was this tech genius who was playful n soft but I was so wrong. THE WESTON HERE WAS HAWTTTT N SEXY N KINKY. He had many revelation that turned his entire world upside down. And he had a hard time making sense of all that. I loved how we got to see the him going through many different emotions, not just the happy n jolly guy.
Weston n Lena were amazing together. They both had insane chemistry since the start. They did face many hurdles to be together. They r so understanding of each other. They were there for each other in the darkest time. AND THEIR SEX SCENES WERE 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (*whisper* Car Scene *cough* 👀🤫).
I loved to see other characters too. Cassius. My man. He is still the same. I was happy to see another side of him, not just the funny guy side. But the serious side as an overprotective brother who cares too much about his baby sister. It was so amazing to watch him n Lena as siblings. And also his n Weston's friendship. The way they both have a bond which is so special.
Caiden n Winter. My Darlings. They are so amazing. I'm so happy they got their happy ending they deserve. And also how their bond was with both Weston n Lena.
Zayde. He is still a mystery to me. But I love him. And that little revelation about him was so good. Like it literally showed another side of him. I can't really wait to read his story.
Overall the book was amazing n the story n characters are 💯💯💯

The Four are at it again, getting into trouble and catching bad guys! The Fight in Us follows Lena and Weston, and their story is sweet, heartwarming, but it also has a fair amount of angst and suspenseful moments.
They've known each other since they were kids, and Lena has secretly loved Weston but has never shown him how she felt. Somewhere along the way, he started noticing her more and more, and now the chemistry between them is undeniable. But before they can openly be together, they have to work out through some personal issues and figure out how to tell Lena's brother, who is also Weston's best friend.
Both protagonists are nerdy, computer geniuses, and they make an extraordinary pair. I loved the light banter and the push and pull between them. The build-up tension made their encounters delightful. Some painful secrets get revealed, but that only brings them closer. And seeing the powerful bond they have with their friends and family made this story even sweeter. Plus, the dangerous moments chasing bad guys and uncovering an illegal underground operation kept me glued to the pages. Can't wait for more books in this series!

I really enjoyed reading this book and following all the twists and turns and shocks inside the story will keep you gripped and the reader will really not see these coming. This book really will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages so fast to see where the story is going to end up and this author really knows how to write a story that captivates you and flows throughout amazingly. This book is a highly anticipated read after the way the last book ended and once you start reading it and you jump back into this world and it will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The way this author has written these characters right from book will will make you love them all individually and they all bring something to the story and you will want to love them, shout at them and hug them all at the same time. This book will also have your emotions up and down and I really felt at times what they were going through Weston and Lena's love story is a beautiful read and one you will not want to miss. This book really does have it all it is full of suspense, lies, secrets, betrayal in this nail biting ending. I fell in love with the Four in the first three books and I’ll admit, West was probably my least favourite out of them all. I was a little dubious about how he was going to win me over but let me tell you. West shocked me! Little baby West was no where to be found. He was hot as hell, alpha to the max but when you got to witness his soft vulnerable side, he broke me into tiny little pieces.
Lena has always intrigued me, ever since we had glimpses of her in other books. That girl is stubborn and hard headed but for all the right reasons. I fell in love with her instantly and she’s my new girl crush.
In true Becca style we got laughs, heartache, action, mystery and suspense. The Fight In Us had me hooked from the first page and I couldn’t put it down.
Another winner from Becca Steele and The Four.
If you love a group of guys that will steal you heart, strong but flawed girls, banter for days, off limits-college, brothers best friend romances then you need to read this book. It was phenomenal.

My first book by this author and most definetly not my last!
The Fight In Us is a standalone in The Four Series, even though it's recommended to read the first three books, it is not necessary. The author gives a brief summary in the beginning and it's enough to undestand the world of The Four.
This is Weston's and Lena's story. Weston really is all that. Let me just say he's got all the right moves. And Lena's a little fire cracker, sweet, fierce (she's on a mission to save somebody and to put a stop on something, and it's clear that it means so much to her), but she's also a little insecure, which has everything to do with someting from her past.
Their story was deeply captivating.
I often talk about the writing style in my reviews, it's so very important to me. And this author just oozes with effortlessness in her storytelling. Impressive.

The Fight In Us is Weston and Lena’s story!! I really enjoyed reading more in depth about their characters and personalities. I was always so interested in Weston’s storyline but it surprised me how much I really did end up loving Weston and Lena.
As much as what was solved in the previous books following another couple, in this book we still have some more revelations from plot points that weren’t figured out yet. I enjoyed this twists in this book that I did not see coming at all. I loved the way Becca Steele really did capture both characters really well and making it easier to understand why they felt a certain way towards something or just in general. Weston and Lena’s emotions throughout the whole story was definitely one of my favorite aspects of the book.
The development these two characters have was everything. It was nice to see how it started for them and the build up of emotions that got them to where they always desired to be at. To feel freely and simply let things happen as they go.
This book also gave us some in sights on the secondary characters that I absolutely can’t wait to know more about and love. There’s still much more in the series and I’m excited for what’s to come!

This book was an emotional rollercoaster of emotions that I devoured in one sitting. Wow Becca I was desperately waiting for West's story and I completely loved it.
Lena is been in love with her brothers best friend for a very long time. Is one of the many secrets she has keep. But the pull she has towards West is something she can't fight any more and she is willing to fight for what she wants.
West and Lena's relationship is one you don't want to miss reading. They are perfect for each, their chemistry, friendship and just the way they cared about each other is something you will completely love. And don't even get me started on the sexy times ....... West is HOT!!!!
Let me tell you this book has some very intense suspenseful moments, twist and turns, shocking revelations and everything you expect with The Four. And it was so good to catch up with the rest of the guys and Winter.
So get ready for an amazing ride and fall in love this characters all over again.
I can't wait for what's next in the series.

This is the fourth book in the Four series and features Weston and Lena. Weston is Caiden's brother and Lena is Cassius' sister. I've been excited to read Weston because I loved his character in the previous books. I also loved Lena. But I really really hate to say this...I did not like either of them in this book.
Lena has always loved Weston and Weston has always been attracted to Lena but neither ever acted on their feelings. Weston finds out some information that shatters his world and he turns to Lena for comfort only to find out that she also has a betrayal of her own. I felt like this was a story about a guy that whined for too long and Lena just wasn't the force I thought she was. I hate that I built these characters up in my head in a particular way and they fell short. The storyline was fine but with my dislike for the characters, it was hard to enjoy. I also didn't feel connected to their relationship or the steamy scenes. Overall, not bad but I couldn't get past my hangups.

Please note that although The Fight In Us IS a standalone and you can read it without having read the previous books in the series I highly recommend that you read the previous books for optimum enjoyment.

I freaking love how Becca Steele pulls you in deeper with every book set in The Four world. It’s utterly enthralling to have a complete story and yet there are these tiny clues sparking intrigue deep inside you as to what they will lead to and keep this world and these characters embedded inside of you, not just wanting more, but NEEDING more.
West and Lena’s story will have you immersed in The Four world in the first pages and within a few chapters the emotions of these characters will bleed through the pages straight to your heart completely captivating your head and heart from start to finish.

Each time Becca Steele puts out a new book within the Alstone world, I fall more in love with it and the characters. I’ve always liked Weston and Lena and was so happy to read their story.
Lena and Weston have known each other for a majority of their lives and their families are very interconnected. Lena has been investigating illegal dog fighting, which began in the first three books. Weston is a computer genius hacker who works with his online friend ‘Mercury’.
A lot comes to light in this book and Weston experiences betrayal. but within it, his relationship with Lena grows. It was so much fun watching them work together to unravel Westons assignment and dismantle the illegal dog fighting ring Lena has been working on. I wish this would’ve been a duet and we can get more of their story, I loved them!

They complement each other so well…y’all I was so happy with Arlo’s suggestion for them & Alstone Holdings. ‘After a couple of seconds, though, he hugged me back, and then Winter was joining us, then Lena and my dad, and yeah…it turned into one of those cheesy as fuck moments where everyone hugs each other and congratulations get thrown around. Secretly, though, I loved it.’—that made me so happy.

Yesss ! Wes and Lena’s story is here and this author didn’t disappoint! I loved stepping back into the world of the Four and seeing the crew all together . I loved all the mystery and suspense added with the heat in this book and it made a fantastic read! Secrets are revealed that turn Wes’s world upside down but it also brings him closer to Lena and he starts to notice her as more than just Cass’s little sister. Lena is holding a big secret that could damage the already fragile friendship that she has with Wes can they make it through all the secrets? This book was definitely good I loved the banter between the characters I found myself laughing out loud while reading through some of this book and fanning myself in other parts ! I loved how the whole crew comes together to solve a mystery that has come up with Alstone Holdings . This is a definite must read from this series but I honestly can’t wait for Zayde’s story he’s my dark bad boy and I can’t wait to see who brings him to his knees .

I absolutely love Becca’s books! I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I have to say I loved Winter and Caiden, but my favorite couple is definitely Weston and Lena! Their relationship is a bit messy but they are perfect for each other. I loved that we got both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I also went on Becca's website and downloaded the bonus epilogue that went along with this book which is from Weston point of view.
I really enjoyed getting a little more of Carter and Raine from Trick Me Twice. I can't wait for Cassius book to be announced!

I CONSUMED WESTON!!!!!
I mean it's Weston, I mean come on! How can you not!! I couldn't stop!
Weston is the little brother of Caiden Canvendish. He's the computer tech genius. He's a member of the 4 with Winter included. He's the little brother everyone wants to protect.
This book had me hooked from the beginning. The connection between Lena and Weston is like lighting! When it strikes it strikes hard and fast and it never leaves you.
Lena fell in love with Weston at only 8 years old. She learned computers because it was something that he loved. But he never knew and kept it secret until one night she shares some information that opens up a canyon of all other things. Lena is also the little sister of Cassius.
Weston! I mean I could go on for days. Butttt everyone likes to protect Wes they keep secrets from him because they do not want him hurt. Soon Weston starts to find out secrets that sends him into a tail spin of alcohol and blocking everyone out.
Eventually Weston and Lena come to terms with everything. Their chemistry is through the roof and they have figure their way around it because of Cassius. Lena has been keeping secrets as well. When everything is finally all out in the open Lena and Weston are explosive together!
I love everything between them and about them. I love that Becca can leave you hanging and drawing you in with two sentences. The Four are epic. I cannot wait for more!

Weston has the story that I have been waiting for, he is slightly different to the other guys in The Four and I love him for it. His story contains romance with that mysterious story that Becca writes so well, though the initial love connection is a little different to what I expected! Which is just another unique feature of Weston and his girl. I certainly loved visiting the rest of The Four and diving in deep to their investigation skills.
Get ready for a serious amount of suspense, a hint of angst and a heck lot of steam....this couple is perfection!
