Note: I received my copy of Summit: Reach Your Peak and Elevate Your Customers' Experience in a Goodreads giveaway.

Since I am currently studying Business, I was really looking forward to reading this book in hopes of gaining some useful knowledge that will aid me in the future. Lucky for me, Scott Addis is a great writer, who not only keeps my full attention throughout the book by his well-placed real-life anecdotes and his little motivational quotes before each chapter, but also conveys many useful tips that I had not thought about prior to reading his book.

As a past Psychology major at Princeton University, Addis puts much emphasis on one's attitude as a key to success. Honestly, but tactfully, he stresses that success can only be reached with the mentality, the confidence, and the discipline to do so. I love that he touches on the fear of failure that many people face and how honest he is in revealing his own weaknesses throughout the book.

The inner workings and motivations of the mind are not the only aspect he talks about, however. Addis does an excellent job at balancing the content of his book, as he puts an equal emphasis on social skills, self-presentation, and, maybe most important of all, balance between work and life. It is the well-rounded nature of this book that makes it so incredibly valuable to me - not to mention how effortless of a read it made it be.

I am likely to recommend this book to people I know.
