The first time I see my high school crush since graduation, I'm a thirty-year-old woman laying on the table for a pap smear.
He's the hot, newly single doctor who just moved back to his hometown, hoping to find some stability for his daughter. Meanwhile, I'm a hot mess, just fired from my job and ousted from company housing. I'm living in my old bedroom and trying to get my appointments in before my insurance runs out along with what little is left of my money.
That's when Fletcher tells me we may be able to help each other out. He needs a live-in nanny for his daughter over the summer, and the last three have quit after a day.
With no other job options in my small hometown, I quickly accept.
After all, I've dealt with pigheaded, balding middle managers. I can handle an eight-year-old girl... right?
If I can't help her and set aside my feelings for this hot single dad, I'll need to find a new job away from my family and outside of the town I love.
Hello Doctor is full of sweet moments with a firecracker of a little girl, her dad with a heart of gold, and the woman who brings them both together.
My favorite stories are the ones that make you laugh, cry, and feel. In all of my books, you’ll find amazing curvy women, heartwarming moments, and plenty of laughter.
I currently live in Colorado where I watch way too many rom coms, chase my three boys up the mountains (huffing and puffing), and write books for lovely readers like you.
I had high hopes for this book after reading the first one, but honestly all I got was a bunch of disappointment. I felt there was truly no plot to this book, and that a lot of the book was just repetitive, and rushed. I literally had to push myself to get through the book. It has its cute moments but felt it could’ve been a lot better.
I was able to read this early as an ARC and let me say I have loved everything Kelsie has written... This book had me laughing, swooning, crying, and back to swooning! The characters had so much depth to them and the things they worked through.. some stories are just a bunch of spice with no plot, but this book had such an amazing story to see. I am impatiently waiting for the next book in this series!
Ms. Hoss has been added to my new favorite authors' list. I forget how much I miss romances that are about the one love that was meant to be. No enemies to lovers. No love from afar. Just two people who love each other so much, but one of them just can't get out of their own way.
Olivia "Liv" Griffen is at a crossroads in her life. She finally quit her job at the feed store run by a misogynist pig and her efforts to find a job in her small town of Cottonwood Falls are not panning out. What can be worse than that? Having your gorgeous high school crush give you a gynecological exam. Yes, it happened. Even better. He took pity on her and gave her a job as his nanny. Fair warning, his daughter is a handful and goes through nannies like water through a strainer, but Liv is up for the challenge and shows this little tyrant the love she deserves. If only her father found Liv deserving of a relationship and more.
Doctor Fletcher Madigan is a single father starting over in his hometown of Cottonwood Falls. He knew it would be difficult, but his daughter needed the change after her mother abandoned her, and being near his family and friends was a good decision. He didn't know what got into him when he offered Liv a job, but he knew if anyone could help his daughter it would be her. Unfortunately, having his crush near him every day is causing havoc with his peace of mind. His daughter is his priority and a relationship, especially with Liv, would be too risky. What happened when Liv wasn’t here anymore? Would Maya survive it? Would he?
My heart! I absolutely adored Liv and her extraordinary kindness and devotion to Fletcher's daughter, Maya. Their love for each other is so sweet and natural and Liv standing up to Maya's mother is so damned badass and so needed to help a lonely little girl connect with her parent. Liv and Fletcher are meant to be. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. If only Fletcher would see beyond his past and ask Liv to marry him. My heart broke for Fletcher when he revealed his PTSD from traumatic events as a resident which led to bad decisions in his past involving his ex. Hence, his promise to himself to never marry again after breaking his vows once. Fletcher is such a great man and a great dad and with Liv's help, he will start to believe that one day. Liv is so caring and compassionate and when she had to make a choice involving her happiness or living a lie, my tears flowed. When everything seemed beyond repair, friends and family came through with sage advice and loving support. The grand gesture is both adorable and swoon-worthy which proved to me that this is one of my favorite books this year.
The fabulous family unit in this story is full of love and support. Kudos to Maya's character who is a funny and sweet little girl giving the story so much more meaning and completion.
Pick up this moving and funny book! I laughed, I cried, and I had no doubt that love would win in the end.
Thank you to Ms. Hoss for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
Okay sooooo…..…this book was bad. I never thought I would be the person to rate a romance this low but here we are. The romance was meh, the daughter was okay, the sex scenes in this book were cringy as fuck, and Rhett, don’t even get me started on Rhett. He is such a bad friend like what kind of friend says “Oh he’s not good enough for you you don’t know the things that he’s done.” Yet your still friends with him? He got some nerve talking like that when he is fucking every girl in the town. Like boy you know him better than anyone(apparently) and you knew he was going through a tough time when he did those things. And your just going to bring him down like that as if he did it on purpose and not because he was hurting. I’m sorry but I would not want a friend like that, Rhett is fake as hell. I think Rhett is getting a romance next definitely won’t be reading that, all I got to say is I understand why she left. And don’t even get me started on the second conflict of the book. LIKE WHAT? Liv wanted to get married to Fletcher but he didn’t want to get married to her because he was already married once so he felt fake saying those vows again winch he loved Liv so much. And what did liv do? Instead of being a supportive girlfriend and accepting that he didn’t want to get married she left him which forced him to ask her to marry him. And then they live happily ever after? Like no girl. If you really loved him you would accept that he didn’t want to get married. She could have waited and maybe he could have changed his mind but no she had to leave and force him to ask her to marry him. It just felt like Fletcher was asking her to marry him to stop Liv from leaving and not because he wanted to. Free my boy Fletcher. Anyway this was my first one star of my life, and this year was going so good to 😞.Definitely won’t be picking up more books from this author.

DNF @ 70% Up until this point, it was back and forth between the H and the h fighting their feelings for one another. Almost 2/3rd’s of the book!!!! Now that they are together, its just….blah. I don’t care enough to see it through til the end. 2* snorefest* stars!!!!!!
It was cute but not the best plot wise. The only conflict was that Fletcher was married before so he was like “I can’t get married again”. Why not?? Plus he just married her at the end anyway so what was the point? Liv and the daughter Maya had such a sweet relationship tho.
This is the second book in this series and just as good as the first one. You see characters from last book and from some of Kelsie's other series. This book has plenty of spicy scenes. It also made me laugh so hard my stomach hurt and then cry with them. But don't worry there is a HEA waiting at the end. I can't wait for the next book in this series. Here are some of the lines that I had to save:
“I’m on your team, okay? You and me against this anger.”
“I’m serious. You keep so much as a cricket in a jar , and it’s going to the pound.”
“That’s why she needs the... seven-inch, mega-thick tampons?” His cheeks were turning red. “You’re fucking with me.” “I’m a doctor, Rhett. You think I’d joke about feminine hygiene?”
Good thing I remembered to shave my toes last night.
“Bentley, you don’t know me, but I’m a doctor. I know seventy-one ways to kill a man, forty-eight that could never be traced back to me, and I will use every fucking one of them on you if you lay a finger on that woman. Got it?”
the mascara and eyeliner smudged around my eyes that made me look like a hungover panda.
You have a big heart, a bright mind, and a creative soul. If people can’t see and appreciate that, it’s a them problem, not a you problem, okay?”
After reading the first books from her, I already knew that Liv was going to be an awesome character and I was going to love her.
Liv meets Fletcher as children and she’s had a huge crush on him for years. He moved away, got married and had a daughter, but now he’s back. When Liv becomes a nanny for him, you see how kind and compassionate she is, you learn about a young girl and the hurt a divorce can cause, and how we grow as humans.
There are several subjects within the story that struck personal chords with me, and I could not put this book down. I cried, I laughed, and I will read it again and again.
Congrats Kelsie, for killing it again. Also .. about “Hello heartbreaker” .. can you be done tomorrow? 😂
4.5⭐️ Sweet, funny, heartwarming story of friends to lovers. 2nd chances. A hot doctor and single dad....? yes, please. I love her inclusion of curvy/bigger fmcs. The spice and chemistry are amazing. I loved it!
This series has been really enjoyable to read. The books are really easy and heartwarming reads and great for a one sitting read. The characters are really sweet and all of the families are incredibly charming. I like that we are getting all the full stories from side characters from the other books. As per usual, I started this series literally in the middle of it so I can’t wait to go back and read the earlier books. For this book, I really enjoyed not just Liv and Fletcher but also seeing Liv and Mayas relationship develop. Really enjoyed this!
I was lucky to receive an ARC for Hello Doctor by Kelsie Hoss and could not put this book down. The characters in the book had me laughing, crying, swooning and relating to them. It was such a good storyline. This story follows Liv(FMC), Fletcher(MMC), and his daughter Maya. Liv and Fletcher grew up together, Fletcher being her brothers best friend, and have always had feelings for each other but never acted on them. Years later those feelings are still there, but now there is so much going on in both their lives that they are unsure if it’s worth the risks. We also get to meet Fletchers angry little girl Maya who has witnessed and gone through a lot at such a young age. Getting to the main focus without revealing so much is that Liv becomes Fletchers live in nanny and she begins to win Maya over and build an amazing relationship with her while still fighting her feelings for Fletcher. Fletcher has many different sides to him and it’s amazing to see. Lots of swoony scenes, the right amount of spice and all the moments in the story involving their friends, family and their feelings make this book such an amazing read. Love that Kelsie shows us Plus Size girls can be loved and cherished, as a Plus Size girl I relate to the thoughts and feelings her female characters battle. Kelsie keep these stories coming !!
In the first few chapters I was loving the book, it was cute and funny but then it got to the part of him not wanting to get married and then I just felt like everything went down hill from there 🫠.
Rhett For a man that keeps on sleeping around every single hole he sees in town, he sure knows a lot about shit talking his supposed “best friend”. I didn’t like the way he kept on calling fletcher a bad person because of his past despite knowing fletcher is in therapy and is sorting himself out. But on the other side, I understand him not wanting his sister to become a step mom BUT that is none of his business, his sister is grown enough to know what she wants or not.
Fletcher He was honestly an asshole to Regina, but Regina was also a terrible mother to maya. When he said he didn’t want to get married just yet, Man should have stood his ground or at least waited a couple more months before rushing into a second marriage just because of familial pressure.
Liv Oh my god, girl was just horny throughout this whole book! When fletcher said that he didn’t want to get married, honestly I believe they should have broke up or at least they both say they will date for a while before deciding marriage. Her reason for wanting to get married are valid but GIRLLLLLL, you legit just pressured this man to get married to you.

Marriage isn’t just a piece of paper or promise of forever. Marriage is work loving baggage, weight and past hurts to bear a bond between two, former partners and children to provide unconditional love and support.
This was a very cute single dad x nanny romance. I appreciated both the plus size and PCOS representation from Liv and the mental health rep from Fletcher. 🩺 My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🩺 Read if you like: ▫️plus size heroine ▫️single dad x nanny ▫️damaged hero ▫️dual POV 🩺 Thank you to Kelsie Hoss for the gifted copy! 🩺 Connect With Me
From the moment I met Fletcher and Liv, I couldn't help but become deeply invested in their story. Their chemistry was undeniable, and Fletcher's unwavering support and love for Liv made my heart skip a beat. I found myself rooting for them, hoping they would find a way to overcome their struggles and embrace the love they so clearly deserved.
Fletcher's dedication to his daughter, Maya, melted my heart. His journey from a troubled past as a resident to becoming a caring father was incredibly moving. He carried the weight of guilt over his failed marriage and felt unworthy of Liv's love, but his unwavering dedication to his family and friends showed the depth of his character.
Liv, with her lifelong crush on Fletcher, had a strength and sense of self-worth that I deeply admired. Seeing her grapple with the joy of having Fletcher back in her life while feeling untouchable broke my heart. But she never settled for anything less than the love and happiness she deserved, and her resilience was inspiring.
Maya, Fletcher's troubled daughter, added a layer of complexity to the story. Her journey of healing and growth touched me deeply, reminding me of the power of love and the impact it can have on a young heart.
While the pacing may have been slightly off at times, I couldn't deny the realness of the characters' struggles. Kelsie Hoss masterfully brought their challenges to life, making them feel like friends I knew and cared for deeply.
Liv and Fletcher had crushes on each other in high school but a meddling brother made sure they never got together then. Now, over a decade later Fletcher moves back to their hometown with his daughter and takes over the local family medical practice. Fletcher in need of a nanny, and Liv in need of a new job Liv moves in to take care of a challenging eight year old for the summer while they both fight their attraction to each other.
Fletcher is such an interesting character, it’s almost crazy how many dimensions there are to his character in this story. I love all his internal battles and how he shows how it really is to live with trauma and mistakes and still end up happy. Liv is an amazing person. I love how she teaches Maya about being human and coping and remembering you have value no matter what happens. All of Kelsie Hoss’s books are like a breath of fresh air adding a super relatable plus sized perspective to romance books. Even for the plus sized genre it’s unique. Not that I don’t love all the size 12 plus sized girlies but it is sooo refreshing to also hear a book from the perspective of a size 22. There were some amazing insights here on marriage and relationships and especially on the importance of keeping promises. This book made me learn and laugh and cry and I wish I could read it for the first time all over again.
I really liked Hello Billionaire, but I LOVED Hello Doctor. I fell in love with Livvy, Fletch, Maya, Graham, and Cottonwood Falls over the course of this book.
Kelsie does such a great job of introducing her characters, then showing them in situations that really help you learn about them and see their changes over the course of the story. Liv's independence, openness, and overall beautiful heart/soul are amazing. She really took to Maya and caring for her like a duck to water. The effort that she puts in every step of the way is beautiful. Fletch is definitely a little broken at the beginning of this book. His healing was wonderful to read while he also learned to forgive himself and believe in others.
I love how these families are blended together and we see real struggles and concerns brought to life on the page. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to smack Fletch, and then I laughed and teared up some more. Such a great book with a great happily ever after. I can't wait for the next book in the Hello series!
This is my first book by this author and something about the blurb called to me and I am so thankful for that because I absolutely, positively LOVE Fletcher and Liv.
Small town romances are slowly becoming some of my favorite books. I’m a small town girl myself but the charm captured in books can’t be beat because it’s what I miss most about growing up. Hoss has created a beautiful town with some amazing characters.
Fletcher and Liv have known each other most of their lives. He’s her brothers best friend and has always been her hearts desire. When they find themselves needing the other there’s no hesitation, but as they see each other more both discover that keeping their feelings at bay might not be so easy.
I love that Liv is so independent and isn’t scared to go for what she wants and speak her mind. She was so amazing with Maya! Also the fact that Parent Trap was Maya’s favorite movie makes this book a must read!
This book is so good! I read it in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down. 🤩
Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I absolutely fell in love with Liv, Fletcher and Maya! Their story was so heartwarming. I laughed a lot and cried a little bit too but in the best way. 🥰
I found Liv very relatable. I adored all the sweet moments she had with Maya. And the romance and spice between Liv and Fletcher was well done. 😘
This charming small town romance is filled with lots of love and laughs. I can't recommend it enough! 🫶
Favorite Moments: ♡ The crumpled dollar bill ♡ Prom ♡ The locket ♡ The windmill
Favorite Quotes: ♡ "I've waited twelve years to be with you; I'm not missing a second of your beautiful body" ♡ "Then. Now. Forever." ♡ "I want to make the kind of family that never breaks up, the kind that's there for each other through it all."
Thank you to Kelsie for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book! 😊
WOW! What can I say?! I loved this book! It gave me all the feels! I cried, laughed, giggled, and fell in love with the characters. I loved the book from start to finish! I enjoyed reading every single chapter and never got bored! Fletcher is an amazing man but he has a past that is still haunting him and he’s in pain. I felt so bad for him but I also felt bad for Liv cause she deserved the best since she was younger. Their love for each other was EVERYTHING! I’m so happy they got their happily ever after! 🩷
Ok, I love the Hello series from this author but I have to admit that this is my least favorite so far.
1. Nothing happened until 2/3 of the way through 2. Not enough sex scene/he never went down on her even though he talked about it when they first got together 3. The reasoning behind Fletchers excuse as to why he didn’t want to get married again didn’t make sense to me, I couldn’t quite connect with the logic
Over all it is still written in the great way the other books are. I love the consistent point of view switch Kelsie does with these books.
One word... Yaaasssssss!!! Kelsie has done it again with Hello Doctor!! Liv and Fletcher had me on my toes the entire book and in my feelings both good and bad throughout the entire thing. I laughed. I cried, I ground my teeth... and then I gave a sigh at the love that was found!!! Read this book!! You won't be sorry!!!!
What a great story! Full of love, just the right amount of steam and a little girl with her puppy who make you’re heart melt! I love a story line featuring a curvy woman, who even though at times she has her doubts, in the end always remembers her worth! And for a man to realize his mistakes and learn from them… that’s what I call a happy ending!
Honestly, I devoured this book. I read it in a few hours, and I was sad when I was done. Fletcher and Olivia’s story pulled at all of my heart strings and then some. It was funny, it was spicy, it dealt with some serious topics SO well. I could go on and on, but I don’t want to give away any spoilers- just read this one.
-small town -curvy FMC -single dad -childhood crush
This was a very unique plot set up I haven’t really read before & I enjoyed it a lot. It was touch & go for a while but a truly beautiful story all the same!
I'll admit I'm a sucker for a good love story! Fletcher and Liv's story was amazing. I love when a book makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you think, and just gets you in the feels and this book does it all! Another fantastic read by Kelsie Hoss!
