Jamie-Lea Carter and Jason Reed have been through the mill. Jason has been there for her in every way he could be. After a tough start to her life at university, Jamie-Lea is only now coming to realise who she really is. She makes a resolution not to let herself get pushed around as much but that's easier said than done as part of the Carter family.
Guilt still plagues her for everything that her family has been through but, with Jason's support, she's growing stronger in more ways than one. She loves her brothers whole-heartedly but deep down she knows things aren't right and never really have been. What has to give for something to change?

Stronger With You,the sequel to Right There With You...
I was in the Blog Tour for Right There With You and I loved it so much that not even 1 minute passed and I was already hunting for the second book of the series..No I'm NOT kidding..
And before I forget,I would like to point that the author has selected the perfect titles for the books..Not too long..On point, precise and straight to the core of each book..That's a very hard task to do..So,Congratulations on that..We all understand how important the choice of a title is to the book..And RJ chose the perfect ones all three times...
So,Stronger With You..
>>I was so happy to finally see Jamie for who she is..She is out,people..She speaks her mind..She's starting to feel confident in her own skin..Yeah,we had some issues now and then..But please..We are women..We overthink everything,so I won't hold anything against our sweet Jamie..She is really cute and adorable..And she is growing up..She sees the severity of her actions and most importantly, she sees that her brothers are not Gods..They make mistakes and she is not in the mood of letting things slide..She tells them off and it's so much fun to watch!!I mean, besides all the bad things that have and will happen..Those I didn't like..
And since I'm feeling brave,I will also admit that I almost feel sorry for Ian..He's 18 and loses his father and he's left with 6 siblings to take care of..Nothing about it is easy..He really did the best he could..I was too mad at him, during the first book, to realise that..But,when you're a kid, you're following your father's actions..And after a while,a routine has been developed..And you just don't disrupt it..I guess, the whole Carted Family needed Jason in their lives..
>>Remember what I said that Jason is the hero of the series,in my review of the first book?..Well,I really dislike the character who does everything right..It's not real..Everyone makes mistakes..But hell, even Jason's mistake wasn't his fault..We see him open up and speak about his family and when he was younger..We finally see the whole Jason..Why he is the way is..How he reacts in various situations..
SPOILERS!..kind of.. 1.I ADORED HIM at Valentine's day!!..The green monster was unleashed!..And well, there is the skirt incident,too.... 2.In the ending of the book,I had 3 thoughts : 1)I wondered how Jamie will react..cry all the time and be the strong stubborn kickass I know she can 2)Jason will freak out completely... 3)I really hope no one gets hurt, because I don't think Jamie can take any more guilt..
OMG What an ending..RJ slowly introduced the danger throughtout the book..Some moments here and there..But never in a million years,I would see this coming...Everyone will be SO PISSED....
PS I'm really hoping for a Jason POV in the third book... Can't Wait..Feel So Giddy right now....
Oh did I mention that I loved this book??Even more than the first one??It sure was a close rece,though...You don't want to miss reading this series!!
Jamie and Jason have been through so much, but it hasn't dampened their relationship. Yes, they have had their hardships, but it has only seemed to strengthen them. Jamie knows that she needs to defend herself more, but she also knows that she has caused her family severe pain. She doesn't necessarily condone how they punish her, but then again she doesn't really want to push the issue. She feels so guilty for everything that her family as had to suffer at her expense. Jason is having any of that. He doesn't think Jamie should be punished for something that was out of her control and he has no problem voicing these opinions/facts to her older brothers. He isn't afraid of them. If they want someone to take the pain out on, then it can be him, not Jamie. Jason is helping Jamie become such a stronger person, she thinks that it is only right that she help him with his demons as well. She doesn't know how things will end up when he finds out what she is doing, but she is willing to take the risk. They both just want what is best for each other.
This is such a great continuation of the first book. It captivates you from the beginning. You are drawn in. You want to know what is going to happen next. You cry right along with the characters, feel their hurt and pain, and just want everything to be for the best. You can't help but want to help them out. R. J.Sable knows how to write a book that keeps you guessing and waiting to see what will happen next. The book has such a wide variety of different types of characters. You don't see that very often. I was super ready to see how this trilogy was going to end. Hope you will like it just as much as I did!
The author is a great writer..drags you right into the story. I still am not crazy about the characters in this book. I think abuse of any kind is reprehensible and I don't understand why the main heroin can't see what was done to her as abuse. But at least she started to stand up for herself a bit in this one. Made it much easier to read.
The author sent me an advanced copy of this book, but it took me a while to actually read it..I had a hard time with the first book since I could not relate well to the characters, but as promised I did read it and liked this one much better than the first. Hopefully the next will be even better. :)
I loved this continuation of Jamie-Lea and Jason's story!!! I love how Jason has stuck up for Jamie-Lea with her brothers and made them see the error of their ways. I also love how Jamie-Lea has been patient with Jason and he opening up about her past. I like the way the story has been written to include Jamie-Lea's brothers as well as Jasons'. There is a lot more but I don't want to give anymore away!!!
Was getting a little pissed with Jason in this book. Wanted to reach into it and hit him upside the head. You will see why when you read it. Poor Jamie Lee finally has some freedom with her brothers then she gets other drama. Oh....and the cliffhanger???? OMG!!!!!!! That's all I'm going to say. Loved this book!!!
Just as good as the first, left me on the edge of my seat ughhh, (but I have a good idea who it is lol). So happy the Carter boys have changed so much due to Jason. And glad that creapy Duff is in jail!! Can't wait till December.
I love these books, but I'm telling you, those brothers of her make me want to kick them all in the balls..and what the hell, who let thelma drive again? cause that bia just keeps driving off the flipping cliff..and when the hell is the next book coming out?? you can't leave me hanging like this..
Loved this book, but I really hate cliff-hangers. Thank god for the password so I could read the first chapter, it helped a lot. Cannot wait for December!!!
What a cliff hanger! I cannot wait until the 3rd book is published because I need to know what happens to Jamie-Lea. Wish I could get an ARC on this one.
Loved the first book so I was so looking forward to read this one. The first book wasn't a cliffhanger. So this second book is the continuation of Jamie-Lea Reed and Jason Carter story. Just to refresh, in the first book we learned that Jamie is raised and bullied by her 7 older brothers. She blamed herself for her mom's death and she's very scared of her brothers (who wouldn't?) and grateful for her brothers who constantly remind her how much they sacrificed for her. A lot has happened in the first book and I was kinda hoping in the second series of the book, it'll move forward.
And it did, after a while. This book still riled me up as to how her brothers seems to be such brutes and say they're protecting her and Jamie is still justifying it all as "okay". Reading the same thing happening over again, is just frustrating!!!!
And Jason has to go and worry about her all the time. I feel bad for Jason actually... And Jamie's saying she needs to stand for herself yet she can't seem to take care of herself still. Just....
But with that said, I like the turnaround of the story. I'd say, it's about darn time!!!!
As for Jamie and Jason's relationship, it has only gotten stronger. They've managed to open up to each other and trust each other more.
Then, surprise surprise, this is a big time cliffhanger! Ugh!!! I can't wait for the final book to come out!!!!
Jamie is becoming an emotionally stronger person in this book. She still has a ways to go but I'm happier with how the story progresses. Jason is a very supportive boyfriend, even though he is a little controlling at times, I'm glad that Jamie has him. This book doesn't seem to have a lot going on but the character development is important.
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!! This is an amazing second. Book in this trilogy and so hot! The chemistry between Jason and Jamie gets hotter and hotter, as Jamie grows into a strong independent woman!!! I love this!!!
One of the best series I've read! Loved all the characters, I laughed and cried, can't wait to read the next set of books from the author which will have some of the characters from the trilogy in.
sorry for the 4.5 it was because of the word "whilst" being used to much and how Jamie kept pouting so much :/ overall it was a good book though and love cliffhangers
