Princess Charming

Rate this book
Princess drives into her hometown, Kingstree, North Carolina, on fumes and Xanax. She is running from a past defined by tragedy and, hopefully, straight into the arms of Gabe Connor. He is the one man she can’t have and can’t forget. She doesn’t count on the serial killer that makes her sleepy hometown his hunting grounds.

I don't know why this book is getting such lackluster reviews. It has a few editing issues, but the story itself shines through. I love the author's voice. (Kind of reminds me of Pat Conroy meets Fifty SOG.) I loved all of the quirky characters. I loved the sex scenes - intense without being overly graphic. (Why read romance if you are offended by sex?) I will recommend this book to all of my romance novel junkie friends! Can't wait to see more by this author.

I wish there was point system because I would then rate it a 2.5. I was not a huge fan of this book at the beginning. It wasn't till about halfway through that it started to be good. The huge age difference between the couple was fine. It was the serial killer that freaked me out more on the age thing.
I did enjoy the inside opinion of the killer. It was a great teaser and you really don't know who till it happens. Yet there are some great clues on how the people act and I did find out after the scene at the party.
Otherwise the book was okay.

Okay, I really struggled to get to the finish line with this book. It was rather ramble-ly in some areas and other areas it was just a bit 'ugh, how is this even relevant?'

The book could have been good had it spent a few more days in the grammar editing section and with a few outtakes. I mean, it has potential but damn, it was frustrating with the lack of overall editing.

Interesting enough that I read the whole book.... Sweet in some parts/ mysterious in others when trying to figure out what is going on. I just couldn't get attached to the characters. So, basically an ok read.

A freebie from somewhere. Not sure where I picked up a copy of this. I did not enjoy this story and could not get past the second chapter.
