“Think positive. What you put out into the universe comes back in abundance.”

Karma Points, hasn’t had much luck in the guy department, she never thought that she would be turning twenty with her V-card intact. She’s tried to turn it in, but every time something happens, making her believe that her fate is sealed to her name. She has a selfish Model of a Mother who she rarely sees and when she does it’s only to get criticized and put down and an amazingly gay Father who is a Plastic Surgeon.

With the help of her friend, Karma goes to a bar to hopefully find a hottie, no ties, no mess, just a one-time deal. Luck is on her side, when she finds a guy that looks like her dream man and as things get hot and heavy she opens up her big mouth and cools them off. What are the odds that she found the only Boy Scout left. Luckily the attraction isn’t one sided and Jax comes up with a plan to keep his conscience clean while giving her the final say if he is truly deserving. She’s survived twenty years, what’s another three weeks, right?!?
“I’m going to enjoy every second I have with you.”

“I second that motion.”

Upon her drunken slurring she tells him of a non-existent bucket list, and with the help of her Dad and Matt she prints a random list from the internet. Little does she know he has plans on getting to know her and what better way that knocking off a couple things on her list? Karma is totally in over her head, having not read the list; she has to put her big girl panties on and face her fears.
“Fine, I’ll bring the list. You’re asking a lot you know.”

“And you’re offering a lot, you know.” She could hear the smile in his voice and couldn’t help but smile herself.

Unintentional Virgin was a super cute fun read, with a lil steam. It was a story about finding and yourself; sometimes all it takes is the right person for you to finally open up your eyes. Jax was such a respectful hottie, former boxer turned fireman; wanting to make her happy and keep her safe. Karma was funny but she uses her wit and charm to hide her insecurities, she was someone that you could easily love, and has no clue how truly beautiful she is on the inside and out. They had a lot of cute and teasing moments that definitely tested Jax’s control. I loved her relationship with her Dad, it was super cute, he was the bestest dad EVER!!! Wonder if were gonna get more with different characters, I guess I'm just gonna have to wait and see.

Unintentional Virgin is fun, cute and quick read with some very sweet points.

description

The story is about Karma Points, a girl who was unlucky to be named Karma and is even unluckier with losing her V-card. She is almost 20-years old and even though she had a few chances to lose her virginity she has not been successful. After finding that out Eva, Karma's best friend, decides to take Karma out to a club so she can find a guy and finally do the deed.

In the club Karma meets Jax, club bouncer, who is very happy to take Karma up on her offer of a one-night-stand. However, everything doesn't go as planned, because Jax respects women too much and he refuses to take her virginity even when he is very tempted to do just that. Jax decides to make a deal with Karma - they have to date for 3 weeks and then she can decide if she wants to have sex with him or not. They quickly get to know each other and later they both realize that walking away after 3 weeks won't be easy or possible at all.

"There is a guy out there for you. I promise."
"It's just sex."
"It's never just sex," he said.

I really enjoyed this book, it was a cute read with few great lessons along the way like facing your fears, standing up for yourself and letting go the insecurities. I liked how these lessons were packed into the story with humor. I really had to laugh when Karma printed out a bucket list from the internet which involved bungee jumping when she was scared of heights. Karma definitely was a fun heroine and her dads were awesome!! Jax was great too, but a bit too sweet for my taste. ;D

"If you find the one, hold on as tight as you can, man, because it can be gone in an instant."

The only thing I didn't like was ending, I just felt it was very rushed as if it has to finish with this huge HEA - 'my-life-has-changed-i-can-do-everything-and-everything-is-super-great'.

"No, I think you're incredible. I've never met anyone like you before and I'm sure I never will again. If you could see yourself the way I do you would never doubt yourself again."

Anyway, if you are looking for a sweet, quick-paced read you should definitely give this book a try ;)

This was such a great book with little drama. The one thing I loved the most about it was Jax. He was a hot tattooed fireman that knows how to respects and value a woman. He definitely made me swoon. Unintentional virgin had all the right elements, steam, humor, and left me with a smile on my face.

Cover: 6/10
Plot: 3 week relationship.
Writing style: 7/10
Heroine: 6/10
Hero: 8/10
Jealousy: 1/10
Romance: 7/10
Hotness: 6/10
Ending: 7/10
Extra book Details: Stand alone, HEA.
Overall: Just above average because of the hero.

Blurb: Karma Points believes she is cursed, unable to lose her virginity after countless tries, she and her friend head out to a club with the intentions of a one night stand. Whilst there she meets a tattooed bouncer called Jax. Convincing him that a one night stand is on her bucket list, they start a heavy making out session. But before he does the deed, she lets slip that she's a virgin. Good guy that he is, Jax won't let her give it away to a stranger, he strikes a 3 week deal with her. 3 weeks, they'll go on dates, tick off some of her bucket list and at the end, if she still wants to give it to him, then they'll have the one night stand.

Karma: She's fun-loving but at the same time vulnerable. Her Mom has put her down all her life and has given Karma a complex.

Jax: Jax was a total gentleman, sweet, caring, realistic and had a healthy respect for women after growing up around 6 of them.

Liked: Really loved Jax, he was refreshing and totally hot. Loved the adventures they went on to complete her bucket-list.

Didn't like: At the beginning of the book, Karma is only 19 years old, so I don't understand her desperation to loose her virginity. Also felt rushed, would have liked their experiences to be more sentimental, emotional or life-changing. The ending felt rushed too, it wasn't overly romantic, and it didn't have an epilogue, it's a book that would have made a good 1 of 3 if there was more drama for it to go on.

I would prefer to give this 3 and a half stars, but I can't bring myself to give it 4 stars.

Unlike most books I read, where the premise is absolutely ridiculous, I could sorta deal with Karma's decision. Who hasn't sought a one night stand from a tattooed bartender? Yum. Finding out that he's conveniently a fireman, too? Double-yum. It's like Clark Kent/Superman but without the healthy nerd bits.

That's all fine. The super hottie deciding he's not keen to take Karma's virginity unless she spends 3 weeks getting to know him first? It's sweet. And I'd like to think that there are guys out there like that (although I haven't met any).

Obviously, they're going to fall in love. And damn, I fell in love with Jax a little bit too.

So there's good. But there's also the hideous, bad, bad, cringe, kill me now parts of the book. For some bizarre reason, Karma has a really weird relationship with her Dad. As in:

Karma: "Hey Dad, I'm off to a bar to go lose my virginity. Help me pick out some sex clothes!"
Karma's dad: "Sure! Put on that black slutty top with some stripper stilettos."

Is this like, the new fantasy? The BFF fag hag Dad? Someone to paint your nails and rate your dates? I don't get it. I suspect there would be a way to create a close intimate father-daughter bond without going down this route. Maybe I'm wrong. I usually am!

But yeah, then Karma's mother. Now this book could have used a jolt of realism here. Sure, I get that Karma's Mom is a bit of a bitchy villain. We hear that she's a vapid, supermodel and I'm hoping for some real angsty mother-daughter drama, I was picturing some nasty Naomi Campbell meets Melrose Place nut job playing mind games. Ok, maybe that's not realistic, but it would have been fun. But basically the scenes just fell flat. It was like.

Karma's Mom: (walks in) Karma, you have a big nose and need plastic surgery.
Karma: Why are you so mean? (cries, etc)
Whoever else is in room: Karma's Mom! How dare you? Get out!

There was no pre-tense of a relationship. Usually nasty Moms at least say hello before they tell you how ugly you are. It was really strange. No subtext, or gentle undermining, or whatever. It was very unrealistic. It would have been more effective if Karma's Mom (whose name I cannot remember) had been selfish or had ever had one piece of dialogue other than to tell Karma she was ugly. It just didn't make sense to me. Frankly, I even became concerned that maybe Karma did have some kind of weird deformity that the other characters weren't mentioning. At least that would explain why she was an "unintentional" virgin. Like, because if you really wanted to have sex and you're a 20 year old girl, you can just like, do it.

Anyway, my absolute favourite part of the book was the deflowering scene. Which is my favourite deflowering scene of any book ever. The less said the better because I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone, but yeah, Awesome. Something about it really appealed to me. It was really satisfying, after all that build up. ;-)

I loved this...it was a beautiful story. A girl looking for a one-night stand to lose her virginity but instead finds love.
I loved Jax- hot as hell, protective, respectful, all round nice guy...the perfect man.
Spending dates doing things on your bucket list, to me, sounds like an awesome idea. I thought it made their dating period really interesting and was fun to read.

Karma Points, now that’s some name, is on a mission. A mission to lose her virginity. She’s almost twenty and embarrassed that she hasn’t experienced the one ultimate high – mind-blowing unimaginable sex. She believes that it’s a curse and that she will totally remain a virgin for life. Every known interruption to mankind comes between her pursuit for doing the “dirty deed” from parents barging in, to the ever popular “I’m just not into girls”, to the “I’d just rather be with someone else”. Therefore, she’s on a quest to alleviate her pathetic sexual crisis. So, with “bestie” Eva, they head out to a club dressed to conquer her prize of snaring a hot male ready and willing to deflower her current virginal status. And, that’s where she meets Jackson. “Jax” is the bouncer at the club that they just entered with pale blue eyes and jet-black hair rippling with muscles and sporting numerous tattoos. Karma finds him delicious to look at, but would it hurt the guy a smidge to smile? And, Jax, what’s he thinking in regards to Karma? She’s cute with her silvery sparkling eyes and that body with all the curves in all the right places. She tells him her dilemma, and he’s beyond interested. He’s so intrigued and attracted to her innocently sensual nature that he can’t possibly believe that she’s not involved with someone, that is until he finds out she’s a virgin. Jax is a stand-up kind of guy. A guy that considers himself an honorable person. Someone who doesn’t take advantage of a young woman that is so pure and vulnerable that she doesn’t realize what exactly she’s asking him to do. He’s got five sisters, and his mother brought him up to be better than that! How will this pair end up? Will Jax be everything and more than Karma has expected? Or will Jax not indulge Karma in her most wanted intimate encounter because of his respectable disposition?

I loved these two characters that author, A.J. Bennett, created! Karma had one funny sense of humor with a sensual and vibrant personality. She lives with her father, Garrett, and his partner, Matt. Both men mean the world to her, but when it came to her mother, there was just so much friction and awkwardness between the two. The woman was a bitch for the most part – expecting her daughter to be nothing less than perfection. But, we all know how many perfect people there actually are – right? Few and far between is my guess. So, instead of accepting Karma for who she really was and giving praise for her positive qualities, she chose to berate and find fault with her constantly, which in Jax’s eyes, was 100% unacceptable! He was there for Karma and would be there for her as long as she needed him to be. He wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Jax was the epitomy of a hero. Karma’s hero! She was repeatedly pinching herself just to make sure that she wasn’t dreaming that this god-like male was actually really with her when he could have had so many more attractive woman. How could a guy like him who was just so luscious and wonderful, perfect if you will, be attracted to a nobody like her with all her insecurities and imperfections? Because he could really see the real and special “Karma” that’s why! He brought out the best in her. The “heart” of her. The exciting and unique young woman that was gradually capturing his heart. And, he was oozing into her steadfast soul as well. When their “deal” of three weeks is up, how will she ever be able to forget him? How will she go on each and every day without seeing those gloriously stunning blue eyes filled with the gleam of excitement and laughter?

This was such a “feel good” love affair with two likeable and believable characters who will surely capture the reader’s heart! A short, but emotionally "passionate" romantic story that depicts Contemporary Romance at its finest! Ms. Bennett does not disappoint with this newly released novel that includes a creatively entertaining group of characters. An author that I plan on looking forward to reading more of in the near future!

Initially I had rated this romance 4 stars, but as I was writing my review and re-reading the novel, I really couldn’t help but fall more in love with the story and the two main characters. It was so much more the second time around that I couldn’t help but being entranced by Karma and Jax’s devotion to each other. It was just so beautiful. Therefore, I decided to change my rating to 5 stars...

If you're looking for a fun, quick read with some sexual tension and a bit of steam give Unintentional Virgin a go.

Quick Summary

Karma's goal before she turns twenty is to lose her virginity. Living with her two dads, not working a job, and dealing with a judgmental mom, has done a number on Karma's self esteem though. Best friend Eva to the rescue with a planned club night, where Karma can find her a man.

Not having much luck with guys in the past, Karma is surprised when the good-looking, tatted bouncer at the club is actually interested in her. Only problem? The tough as nails, ex-boxer cannot justify taking Karma's virginity in an one night stand. He's momma raised him better than that. Not able to let the gorgeous girl walk out of his life or leave disappointed, Jax strikes up a deal with Karma instead. If she spends three weeks dating and getting to actually know him, then they'll have sex.

Jax and Karma

The fact that Jax actually acted like a gentleman was SO refreshing. And made me instantly love his character. Especially, when we got a glimpse of his past and his family. Karma is crazy and fun. She has her shy moments, but she mostly speaks her mind very openly. Which caused for a lot of smiles and some laughs. And the two of them had some hot chemistry together along with tons of sweet moments. Since it was dual POV, it was great having a chance to be inside Jax's and Karma's head to see their feelings.

The Message
A.J. Bennett did a wonderful job on interweaving some great messages throughout Karma's story. Loved seeing Karma face her fears and deal with body image issues. For me, these were very relatable problems. And the "lessons" were not overly pushed on the reader, but there for the reader to catch if they are open. Additionally, it was nice that story wasn't just about sex but actually had some backbone and meat to the plot.

The Facts & The Flow
I found some elements of this story hard to believe, and not just the guy acted like a gentlemen. I actually think that their are some decent guys remaining out there *crosses fingers*. More so, the details about different action scenes were a little fuzzy to me. Not in that I didn't understand, it was drawn out clearly, but just the reactions. Does anyone really give an armful of blood, PASS OUT, wake up right after and feel fine? This is just from personal experience though, I give blood a lot and almost always feel like a dog after. There was a couple other moments like that, let's be honest I was nitpicking tiny details, but it kinda bothered me. The flow of the story felt kinda choppy at points. And I felt like the transitions from one moment to the next were a little rough. However, if you look past the flow (cause the detail thing is apparently my own twitch), there is a solid story and group of characters.

Unintentional Virgin is a quick read, that will have you chuckling and pulling for Karma from the start. With fun characters and an emotional message, the plot is fast paced with a fair dose of action. A great read!

** 4 Solid Stars **

I was intrigued by this book from the very beginning when I saw it listed on GR. I couldn't wait for it to release. The sad thing was it took me this long to be able to read it and I will say I wasn't disappointed!!!! I really enjoyed this book. It was such a refreshing change of pace. Yes the storyline and Genre were pretty typical, but what made it different was that it was DRAMA free. It was just a sweet love story that had just the right amount of steam and had lovable characters. I loved the concept of this book, in that we have a 20 year old virgin who is determined to lose her virginity no matter what. She was willing to pick a random stranger and have a one night stand. Luckily Karma ( yes that was her name ) met Jax. Jax was so lovable!!!!! He is truly what I think most women look for in a man. He wasn't willing to just let Karma throw away something like her virginity on a one night stand. He came up with a plan to have them date for 3 weeks and then if she still felt the same way he would take her virginity. What I really enjoyed was the story once these two characters meet. I loved how the story unfolds over the three week period and everything Jax does to get to know Karma. I won't say much more on that because you need to read it to see what I am talking about.

Just know that when you meet Jax, Karma, Garrett, Matt, and Eva....you are going to fall in love with all of them. There was only 1 character in this book I really didn't like and that was Karma's mom...she was horrible and nasty towards Karma. I was glad to see how Karma finally put her in her place by the end. I was also glad to see the author left them on a more positive note by the end of the story. I truly felt all these characters were very relatable!!!!

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet and steamy love story that will leave you smiling in the end.

Karma Points - don't laugh! - is desperate to lose her V-card. She goes to a nightclub with her best friend, Eva, to nail down a good-looking guy for a night of hot, sweaty fun. She meets Jax and sexual tension immediately sizzles the air - but what their crazy attraction leads them to is more than just a one-night stand.

"I know you don't believe me."
"I'm not beautiful, Jax. I see myself in the mirror every day. My eyes are too wide, my nose is too big, and my hips are huge. Don't even get me started on my thighs. I could go on and on."
Jax smiled sadly. "Your mirror is cracked."

Dear God, drop this delicious hunk on my doorstep right this instant! Jax was the whole package! He had that "sexy tattooed bad boy" look all the girls fawn over, but a heart that was made of pure gold. He could make you want to rip your panties off with a single look - but he never used that to his advantage.

"She was going to live and she was his. He would fight her tooth and nail if she tried to run from what they had. And if she still insisted on walking away next week, he would wait. As long as it took."

Yup. Too dreamy for words!

And then there was Karma who I absolutely adored. She made me laugh with her silliness. She could be dramatic at times, but not to the point that I wanted to dunk her head into the toilet. And I absolutely envied her super-close relationship with her dad!

Overall, this was a fun, sweet and lighthearted New Adult story about things not going the way they planned - but turning out for the better. Highly recommended to everyone (especially if you're feeling down and in need of a pick-me-up!)

I enjoyed this sweet story. Karma Points is on a mission to lose her virginity. She is turning twenty soon and feels she should have lost it a long time ago. During one of her “missions” to lose her virginity she meets the gorgeous tattooed bouncer at an underground club.

Jax is more than willing to hit it with the sexy Karma, until he finds out she is a virgin. He is intrigued by the sexy girl and strikes a deal with her. He is willing to be the one that helps her with her virginity problem but first she must agree to his terms.

This is a sweet, charming, funny story of a couple beginning a relationship. It has some steam but most of the story is about learning to trust each other, having fun adventures, and nurturing the growth of the relationship.

This book surprised me! I really loved it! I was expecting a book all about a young girl just trying to loose her virginity. What this book really is, is a book about a girl coming into her own and gaining confidence. Karma is a 20 year old girl who lacks confidence in herself after years of put downs by her mother. I highly recommend this book!

I loved the storyline of this book, where Jax makes Karma agree to dating him for three weeks before she decides whether she still wants to sleep with him or not. You don't meet many guys who have morals like Jax does to do something like that. I really enjoyed reading their three weeks together and what happens is that Karma ends up telling Jax she has this bucket list on accident because she was too drunk and it just slipped out. Jax takes her seriously and Karma ends up printing out a bucket list online and they end up doing some of the things on there, so that's what their three weeks basically consisted of, doing her bucket list and some other dates in between. I thought the bucket list idea was really cute and unfortunately, there were a few things that was on there that Karma was terrified of, like heights, but this list helped her get over her fears. The take home message, that I thought this book gave out was to not be afraid to take risks and to not be afraid to fall in love, that sometimes getting over your fears is a good thing, and I don't just mean the bucket list, just life in general and relationships and all that good stuff. What first started out as a mission to lose her virginity started to become much more then that after the three weeks. You guessed it, she started falling hard for Jax and by the end of the book, she has to make a tough choice on what is best for her and for Jax. My favorite part of romance stories like these is the realization scene, when they realized they can't live without the other person and they go over to talk to them or some kind of grand gesture or something. I loved how the book was in alternating point of views between Karma and Jax. I personally love it when the author writes the male's point of view because it's nice to have some fresh insight into a male character's mind because most books, the main character is a girl and you only see her point of view. The only negative thing that I have to say about this book was that it was too short, I would have loved if it was a bit longer. The ending...it was beautiful! Unfortunately, this is a standalone book, I would have loved if there was another book or two! No cliffhangers, no suspense whatsoever, just a 'and they lived happily ever after' sort of story.

THE CHARACTERS:
Karma- Karma wants to lose her virginity before she turns twenty, so she goes to this night club with her friend, hoping to get a one night stand and everything goes well until she blurts out she is a virgin to Jax and that's when Jax's three week deal comes to play and the rest as you can say is history. I feel like I can relate to Karma in some ways and I love it when I can relate to characters in one way or another. Karma has been bullied by her mother her entire life, nothing she ever does is good enough for her mother, she is always picking on her appearance and this leads to her being self-conscious about herself when she's older. And that is one of the obstacles that gets in between Jax and Karma later on in the book. I am proud of Karma when she overcomes her fears during the bucket list dates, I would never be able to do those things she did.

Jax- I think Jax is one of those perfect guys, he has a good body, he has tattoos and we can't forget..he's a fireman! I have officially added fireman on my list! Jax is definitely a male character I haven't read about yet, the type of guy that is raised morally right and he would treat women right due to how he was raised. One of the scenes I found interesting was that we got to see Jax on the job as a fireman and that was pretty cool.

You get to meet Karma's dad, since her parents split up and turns out her dad is gay, so Karma lives with her dad and his partner. Karma's dad is like her best friend, she can go to him for almost anything and he's always there to support her. Karma's mom isn't really in the picture, but she does appear in the book at least 2-3 times. When the confrontation scene happens, even though her mother is a bitch to Karma, you get to see why she did the things she did and I felt bad for her. She just wanted what was best for Karma, just like any mother out there. You get to meet Jax's family, including all of his sisters, but the family scene isn't very long. There is also Karma's best friend and she's one of those best friends that is always there for you and will have your back if you need her. There are also other side characters that you get to meet.

OVERALL: I give this book 4 stars and I would recommend it if you love those feel good type of romances like I do. This was a really cute story and I loved the storyline behind it all. I just wished it was a little longer and I do hope the author decide to make some sort of sequel or prequel or whatever, but as long as the story lives on somehow!

**** 4 Karma Points Stars****

Unintentional Virgin by A.J. Bennett brought a smile to my face. It was definitely a cute and fun read. I really enjoyed this book and all the characters. I absolutely love and adore Karma, Jax, Matt, and especially Karma's dad who rightly earned the title, "Best Dad."

Karma Points is about to turn 20 years old and isn't having much luck in the guy department. All Karma wants to do is lose her virginity. Whenever she comes close to seal the deal, something seems to go wrong. It was like the universe was against her in losing her V-card. Not only dreading dying a virgin, Karma's nagging mother adds to her list of problems. On the bright side, Karma has the best dad in the world. Her openly gay father and his partner, Matt loves Karma to the moon and back.

When Karma decides to go to a club with her friend, Eve to cash in her V-card, she meets a muscular tattoo bouncer named Jax. Although he is not her ideal type, Karma desperately just wants to get the deed done so why not a sexy bad ass tattoo guy to seal the deal. When things start to get hot and heavy, she tells Jax that she's a virgin.

Well, it turns out hot bad ass tattoo Jax is the last boy scout in America. He could't do it informing Karma that her virginity should not be taken on a one night stand. Just her luck, Karma thinks the universe is out to get her and have her die a virgin.

" I can't, Karma. I'm the only son in my family, and I've got five sisters. I was raised to respect women. Taking a girl's virginity on a one-night stand is far from respectful."

When Karma thought her night couldn't get any worse, Jax suggests an idea to her. He tells her that he will make a deal with her. If she spends three weeks with him and get to know each other, that he will happily ravish her body. Karma happily agrees to the plan since she held out this long to lose her virginity so she could hold out 3 weeks. What Karma didn't see coming was that during her drunken haze that night, she told Jax that she had a bucket list of things to do. Well it turns out, no bucket list exist and so what does Karma do...she googles and copy and paste a list. LOL. Jax suggests for the next three weeks that they would go on dates and try to cross off things her on list. What Karma didn't expect was that within those three weeks, she would be facing her fears and finding love.

Unintentional Virgin was a joy to read. I absolutely adored how cute and fun it was. I devoured this book in one sitting and had me smiling at the end of the book. I just love the overall message that it's okay to be afraid but don't let your fears stop you from facing it. As for Karma's dad, he was the best. He was always there to support and remind her how beautiful she is inside and outside. If you are looking for a fun read about finding yourself then I suggest you read this book.

I really enjoyed this author's first book, so I was looking forward to reading this book! I have to say that I loved this book more that her first book! I felt that this book was written better! I think I felt like this because I preferred the plot of this book compared to the author's first book! I completely adored this book! It was a quick read and I thoroughly enjoyed it more then I was expecting too! The plot of this book was perfectly paced and brilliant! I was drawn right into it and I actually read this book in one sitting! The plot was written amazingly! It was funny in some parts and then pretty serious in others! I liked that mix as it made the atmosphere of the book better and it also made the atmosphere change dramatically as well! The overall plot I thought was brilliant! I really enjoyed it! The characters were also amazing! Karma was the main character and she was such a self conscious person! At the beginning I thought that she was going to actually be a really overconfident person, but she actually turned out to be a really shy person who had been getting sort of verbally abused which made her really self conscious! I did feel sorry for Karma! She thought she had all these flaws when in actual fact she was beautiful! It takes Karma until near the end of the book to realise that she is in control of her life and that she was the better person! I connected really well with her as well! Jax was the love interest of Karma and he showed her that she was beautiful and that she was perfect for him! I adored Jax! I completely adored him! And by the sounds of it he was smoking hot! I loved how Jax was with Karma! He was so gentle with her and he really showed her how to appreciate herself and not to listen to her mother! I loved that this book was written from both Jax and Karma's point of views! I wasn't expecting it to, but it made the book more interesting and also it was quite fun to go inside Jax's head and see how deep his feelings for Karma were! I'm really looking forward to more from this author! I said that in my review for her first book, Now or Never, and this book was definitely worth the wait, so I'm looking forward to seeing what she'll release next! I love the cover for this book! It's so pretty and the colouring of it goes together perfectly! Big thank you to A.J. for an ARC of Unintentional Virgin and to Allison for having me on the Blog Tour!

Karma Points has been cursed with a horrible name. She also has a mother who is a "billboard" model and gorgeous, well on the outside. She lives with her father and his partner Matt. Karma has a pretty good life the only problem is that it is at a stand still. While all her friends moved off to college or to some exciting adventure Karma is at the local Community College. She still lives at home and worse yet at twenty, she is still a virgin. It is not something she planned, it just so happens Karma has horrible luck with guys.

Then one evening Karma goes out with her friend deciding she is just going to pick up a one night stand and get it over with. The one thing she doesn't expect is that she would pick the one guy who after finding out she was a virgin would make her wait so she could get to know him better.

Jax is a good guy. He was raised by his mom and has five sisters. He is a fireman, like his dad was, and a part time bouncer. He sends money home to his mom to help with his sister's school and he is just an all around great guy. Now looking at him you may not get that visual, he is a big, intimidating guy.

Jax cannot believe his luck when the girl that catches his attention is actually interested in him. Then he hits the jackpot when she lets him know she is up for a one night stand. Once back at Jax's place he cannot believe how much he likes this girl, but then she drops the bomb on him. There is no way he will take Karma's virginity for a one night stand. He makes a deal that they spend three weeks together and then he will seal the deal, Karma agrees.

I will admit after the first chapter or two I wasn't sure I would like this book. At first, Karma comes off like a little spoiled girl, who is not very nice (at least to her dad). But that faded pretty quickly and once the story was really about Jax and Karma I ate it up. It is funny and sweet and heart warming. There are several laugh out loud moments. You can't help but to love Jax, he is perfect. I do question Lexi sometimes because her reasoning seems to be a little off but she gets her act together so I won't give her too much grief. The big moment in the book is HILARIOUS! Poor Jax, nothing like knocking down the self esteem a few notches. This is a really fast read and there isn't much angst which I will admit was a nice change.

Karma Points is about to turn 20 years old and her only wish for her birthday is to lose her virginity. With her best friend Eva by her side, she heads to a club to troll for a guy to give her v-card to. Because let's be honest, that's the perfect way to lose your virginity, to a perfect stranger. While there she meets a few guys that could do the deed, but in the end, none of them turn out to be "the one." When she heads up to the bar to get yet another drink, she sees the perfect guy bartending. He's tall, dark and handsome. He has tattoos and muscles and looks like everything a girl would want. The two strike up a conversation and before she knows it, she's being whisked away to the guy's apartment for a one-night stand.

Jax isn't usually into the whole one-night stand gig, but for the sexy Karma, he's willing to change his mind. While in the midst of foreplay she let's it slip that she's a virgin and he immediately cannot bring himself to follow through. There's just something inherently wrong with taking this girl's virginity. So, he strikes up a deal, date him for three weeks and then he'll sleep with her. While commendable, it's essentially prostitution. She's to spend time with him, and in return he'll sleep with her. Good times all-around? I dunno.

Unintentional Virgin really did have a good premise but the execution just fell flat. Karma is essentially a poor little rich girl. Her mother is a supermodel who doesn't seem to love her and always puts her down. Her gay father and his partner spoil her beyond reason but love her to death. She is down to Earth in the respect that she doesn't really care about money, which is good. But overall, she isn't very likable. Jax is commendable for wanting to get to know Karma before he sleeps with her, but it just seems like too much work. I do not understand how he can put up with her.

A fun, sweet New Adult romance, Unintentional Virgin was a wonderful read. I really liked this book. It was enjoyable, romantic, and absolutely awesome. Loved it!

Karma was a good heroine. Her reactions to everything were fun and realistic. I have to admit, her reluctance to go all in was frustrating. I understood why she was hesitant, but it still annoyed me. However, she did grow over the course of the book and became a much stronger character. And, in the end, I really liked her.

Jax was just amazing. This guy was so sweet and adorable and just perfect. Having been raised by his mother with 5 sisters, he certainly knew to be a gentleman. I loved that about him. And, I loved everything else about him. I thought he was perfect and I adored him.

The romance was lovely. Karma and Jax were sweet together. I loved how they both fell for each other and, even with Karma's hesitance, their feelings were always clear. There was just a sprinkle of spice in this book, but it was certainly hot. I thought they were a wonderful couple.

The plot went by quickly and I was kept interested the entire way through. This was a light, fun read that had its serious moments to keep it from being just fluff. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was lovely.

Unintentional Virgin was a fantastic New Adult read. I really liked this book. It was fun, light, and truly entertaining. Romance lovers, this is a book worth checking out.

When I saw someone’s review having Katy Perry’s picture because of her song, Dark Horse; I really got interested on this book. Katycats here. ;)

When I started reading it, I just can’t put it down. The story was very simple and the writing too. I can’t deny the fact that I know exactly how it will end, that they will fall in love in the end but there’s a magic in it that I can't expplain. Karma and Jax made me smile and blush while reading how they fell in love to each other.

I love how Jax turn Karma’s insecurities and fears into something that will eventually be her strength. It’s a sweet, short but fascinating book. I love Jax’s family, Karma’s dads and Eve. Eventually, I understand Karma’s mom in the end but hated her since the start. And of course, I love Jax and Karma, they’re two souls made in heaven. ♥

Thanks to Pam because I find this book interesting because of her review and to whoever owns the picture below that I saw online. :)

I received this book in return for an honest review.

I see some rating this a little lower because they find it hard to believe that the character would hook up with the person she did. Well, that's why it is called a fictional romance. So what if the story, in reality, to most would seem implausible, but it could happen...come on and really think about it!

Okay, as for the story itself. The characters were interesting and developed nicely throughout the story. My only reason for rating it 4 stars and not 5, is how it ended. I can't really say anything, because I'm one not to put spoilers in the reviews. But, no contact with someone for a while, then all the sudden show up and everything is back to normal...sorry, but usually it takes time to dive back into things. The ending was nice, but seemed a bit rushed. Plus, I felt the story could go on to include more information about how their lives, along with the ones around them, progressed. I could have used a little more closure.

Otherwise, well written! I look forward to reading more from this author.

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of the book. For me, this one was a bit different from the previous book I read by A.J.

The great thing about the book is that the situation is so bloody believable. How many people go to bars and clubs and pick up strangers for one night of commitmentless sex? In Karma's case she would not have chosen this normally, but she was bound and determined to lose her virginity and the normal ways just were not working for her.

I actually loved both Karma and Jax. He was a bit older and not quite looking for a relationship, but he was a really good guy. He didn't want to take advantage of her and actually had more respect for women than most guys would in the same situation. And once he knew he wanted a relationship, he pursued that. Surprisingly it was Karma that was scared to take a chance on them. I loved how smoothly the story went without feeling rushed.

I would definitely recommend this book.

I GUESS MOST WOMEN HAVE TO MAKE THAT CHOICE "AM I READY TO GIVE IT UP"? SOMETIMES IT CAN BECOME A BURDEN, JUST BEING A VIRGIN, NOT KNOWING WHAT ALL AROUND YOU ARE REALLY TALKING ABOUT. THIS IS THE QUESTION "KARMA POINTER" (love her name) HAS, SHE WANTS ANSWERS. THE TITLE IS WHAT MADE ME WANT TO READ THIS BOOK. I ENJOYED HOW THIS SUBJECT WAS HANDLED AND WEAVED INTO A VERY INTERESTING STORYLINE. I LOVED KARMA'S & JAX'S RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR TRUE PARENTS, THOUGH DIFFERENT IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. THE SEX SCENES WERE VERY EROTIC AND HOT STEAMY SEX (WOW!)SO REAL (that is what usually will happen, not what all the books say happens)OH, YEAH THAT WAS SO REAL & FUNNY. READING THIS BROUGHT BACK SOME FUNNY MEMORIES FOR ME, THEY ARE FUNNY NOW BUT WAY BACK WHEN, HELL-TO-THE-NAH! I WONDERED ABOUT THE ENDING (it was ok got my hea)FELT LIKE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE. ;>

Karma and Jax

I really liked the flow of the plot. Jax is so swoony. Karma wants to lose her v card and mets Jax at the bar. He doesn’t want a relationship but is intrigued by her. They are almost doing it and she tells him she’s a v… he stops says he can’t do that to her. He proposes they date for 3 weeks and get to know each other and then if she still wants he’ll take her. There is supposed to be no kissing but that goes out the window on date one - he is so into her and she him. He’s just a sweetheart of a guy. She tells him she has a bucket list - but doesn’t and prints one of the internet- so they are bungee jumping- she’s afraid of heights- they are white water rafting and she almost dies - he has to resuscitate her. He’s a firefighter luckily.

She’s a bit of a mess emotionally and needs to grow up a bit so at 3 weeks after he takes her v card 2 days early she breaks up with him. 1st time he’s a one pump and done. She can’t believe it… she thinks he’s bad at sex but then round 2 proves differently. He tries to pursue her but she won’t answer his calls. In the next 3 weeks she gets an apartment, gets a job, and changes her shrink. 3 weeks and she is like ok I miss him so she goes to get him. They profess love.
